A Note from Jill Christopher EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR This past July is one that I will remember for a long time! On July 11th, we broke ground on our new Ronald McDonald House in Fargo. This long-awaited day couldn’t have been sweeter and we were so glad to be joined by over 150 supporters, donors, and volunteers. As we have continued to see the number of families in need of RMHC grow, we have seen our waitlist for a room grow as well. Our team has already had to call over 80 families this year to let them know that we can’t help. To tell these exhausted and stressed parents that we have no rooms available adds to their stress and worry. This new house will allow us to increase our capacity and, in turn, lift some of the burdens our families carry. This groundbreaking signals the first in many steps toward our opening of the new house and we are excited to have you follow along on the journey. We would not be where we are without your support, but the work is not done. We will need lots of love and support to build this new House. I ask that you please consider supporting our new Ronald McDonald House project in a way that is meaningful to you. Thank you for Keeping Families Close!

RMH RIDE

16TH ANNUAL RMH RIDE REVVING & ROCKING FOR RMHC

As the sun set over a full campground we

reflected on another phenomenal weekend

supporting the Ronald McDonald House at the 16th Annual RMH Ride. This year’s Ride took place June 9th–11th with a uniquely scenic route through lakes country, impressive live & silent auction items, a motorcycle raffle, burnout contests, and live bands including October Road and Nashville based rocker, Jasmine Cain. Each year the Ride also organizes a Bike Safety rodeo and gives away bicycles for kids! Hundreds of motorcycles hit the road at noon from New York Mills, MN and

traveled to Frazee for a pit stop including famous turkey sandwiches! The next stop was in Dent, MN, before heading back to New York Mills for delicious food and fun. We are so grateful and humbled by the hundreds of participants, countless volunteers, and fabulous board and committee who raised a gross total of $123,797.50 this year! The heart that these individuals put in to this event is awe inspiring! If you have yet to make it to this event, make sure to mark your calendars for June 9th, 2018! You don’t want to miss it!
