EXPERIENCED
I am proud to be your Regional Organiser, a job I have held, with your continued support, for fifteen years. I am seeking your support to continue in my job for the next 5 years.
As an ex miner, I know how important it is to fight to defend jobs and our communities . I have put maximum effort and commitment into the role as your Regional Organiser.
It has been a challenging and busy fifteen years. During this time I have built up a wealth of experience that I use every day fighting to save jobs and attempting to improve your conditions and job security.
WORKS ALONGSIDE YOUR ELECTED REPS
Working in a team of RMT activists and representatives I have successfully stopped DOO, negotiated higher than average pay increases and protected jobs, terms and conditions. For example, Scotrail pay has increased by 45% over those 15 years!
I have faithfully implemented RMT policy and believe passionately in our democracy. That is why I have now received such magnificent support from RMT branches and your elected representatives. I am humbled and proud.
STRONG AND BOLD
I am renowned for being a hard negotiator and full of energy as I go about my duties. I know management do not find me easy to deal with and that’s how I am. I fight fair but hard on your behalf.
THE FUTURE WE BUILD
You will realise that it is a constant battle to improve matters affecting you at work and we need continuity to remain at our strongest. To gamble on change now is not wise in my opinion.
That is why I am respectfully asking for you to honour me with your vote.
