Commissioner Arrington attended the January 10th Chatt Hills City Council Meeting to introduce himself and his key staff members: Dorsha Simmons, Chief of Staff; and Jerell Shearing, Community Engagement Rep South.
Commissioner Arrington said the Commission is in the middle of its budget phase. He said, “We’re anticipating a $1.3 billion budget for 2023, and we’re looking for input on your Fulton County Budget. We will likely vote on the budget at our January 18 meeting.”

Fulton County also had changes to its commission district boundaries due to the 2020 US Census. As of this year, Chattahoochee Hills is now in Fulton County Commission District 5, represented by Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr.
The Commissioner said he had already submitted a line-item request for funds to support the Bear Creek Nature Center in Chatt Hills, with funds equal to the support of the Chattahoochee Center in north Fulton County.
Mayor Reed said the Commissioner could expect a call from Chatt Hills Councilmember Laurie Searle, who has been working with the mayor on requesting funding support for senior services in Chatt Hills.
