CAMP BRITTNEY- OCTOBER 2012
The Brittney Strom Foundation has a lot of exciting things happening. A few words to describe the atmosphere and action with the Foundation are Growth, Discipleship, Fun, Teams, Service, and Knowledge. The main building project is a mission house to house mission teams while serving at camp. This summer we had a conference and camp that took place two weeks during the month of July. We also are excited that the Strom Bible Institute is staying active and growing. God has been doing some amazing things through the students, missionaries, children, and youth that come to Camp Brittney. Camp Brittney is continuing to reach out to the Costa Rican people to promote the word and love of Jesus Christ.
Camp Brittney—in July God’s children come two by two from San Ramon, Costa Rica to be in a loving and caring environment to hear about God’s word. The students from the Strom Bible Institute disciple the children about Salvation of our Lord and Savior; helping them take
While at camp they had fun by doing crafts, playing games, and being able to fellowship in a healthy environment. Each day the campers were able to create a craft to take back to their homes to remember that God loves them and what a great time they had at Camp Brittney. They made armor shield plaques with Ephesians 6:11 to remind them God is always there to protect them. The second craft was a wall hanging with their feet in a shape of a butterfly. The third craft was a cross so they will always remember Jesus Christ and the stories they learned about Him at Camp Brittney. They also competed in fun and exciting games helping them learn the importance of team work. One thing they looked forward to each day was pool time. While at Camp during the week we gave each camper flip flops donated from Palmetto Christian Academy and sweat shirts and jackets donated by our supporters.
that next step to follow Jesus and teaching them that they are loved.

Dunamis 2012
Mission House-
In July, Camp Brittney hosted their third missionary youth conference called “Dunamis 2012.” We had 75 people attend the conference. This year’s speaker was a professor from the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina -- Jorge Cuerci and his wife. During this week Cuerci talked about the topic “To be Faithful until Death.” The youth enjoyed workshops along with discussions on what it means to be faithful.
Camp Brittney is in the process of building a mission house. The mission house will serve as a place for volunteers to stay while serving at Camp Brittney. It also will serve as a place for meetings, conferences and worship space. The mission house has 8 bedrooms and bathrooms, a dining area, a small kitchen, a Chapel and offices. We are praying that the Mission House will be completed in 2013.
Strom Bible InstituteThis year the institute has 10 students that are attending. All students help with the camps and youth conferences in January and July by leading groups, discipling children, playing roles in skits and helping with the service team. The institute students are getting ready to go on a mission trip to Nicaragua October 15-22.

FundraisingCamp Brittney has been blessed by so many of you with your prayers, financial support and service. Many have asked and we have heard! And so we are now selling T-shirts for $15.00 each to go towards funding for Camp Brittney. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt please contact Dayna Bledsoe at bledsoe4him@msn.com.
During camp in July, we had the privilege of having a group from Chapin United Methodist Church located in Chapin, South Carolina along with Russ and Angie Black and family to come and serve at Camp Brittney. They helped with construction projects, with service teams and helped with the children at camp. We were very excited to have them join us that week. Camp Brittney is always looking for teams to travel to Costa Rica to serve. If you are interested in taking a team or going to serve in Costa Rica, please contact Dayna Bledsoe.
