AWAKE, MY SOUL, AWAKE

regeneration, the straight and narrow path which leads to the highest mastery, and gives the greatest joy and peace to the individual.

Once you see this path of immortality, its purity, its grace, and its bliss, you will be filled with a divine enthusiasm to travel it to the supreme goal, and you will see the uselessness of all mortal aims that do not help you to fulfill the object of your soul’s existence, the manifestation of the Creator in form and power. Once you place your feet on this path you will go forward steadily in a progressive way, allowing no obstacle to hinder your determination, nor any idea of time to disturb your faith. You will be filled with the conviction that you are on the Path of Life, and only by systematic effort for days, months and years can you fulfill the object of your being.

When all thoughts and desires of your nature are polarized toward the realization of the highest ideal, even the loss of the physical counterpart of the mind, the body, will not stop your upward progression through the eons of eternity. Your soul will continue to inhabit its pure mind-body or spirit form, and it will continue the development and regeneration of its mental forces. Thus, your soul will perfect the expression of its wisdom and power through its spiritual body in all its future progression in the objective realms of the universal heavens.

Your soul nature slumbers because of the ignorance and materiality of the mortal mind. But you may awaken your soul to a splendid realization of self-conscious power and dominion.

The soul cannot be awakened fully in a day, or even in a year. The development of the soul is a process of growth or unfoldment that should occupy all the days and years of your earth life; and then its more perfect flowering should continue in the spiritual world throughout the ages of eternity.

Were it possible for the soul suddenly to awaken to a degree of consciousness which can come only by years of mental and spiritual growth, the physical nature could not respond to the more rapid, spiritual vibrations. Each new soul realization must be followed by such soul expression as will tune the physical brain and body to the more intense vibrations of spiritual force.

Before the soul can express its feelings born of divine Love and Wisdom, the erroneous beliefs and the disturbed feelings of the mortal mind must be dissolved. The beliefs of the mortal mind in evil, and the fears of evils, keep the mind clouded and in a negative and powerless condition.

By daily study of divine principles, by affirmations of Truth and blessings of Love, the entire mind is cleansed of dark thoughts and feelings, and a new foundation of faith is established in the powerful presence of Love-Intelligence.

The diseased bodies and disturbed affairs of people reflect their lack of spiritual development.

People can begin to demonstrate the beauty and health and the peace and prosperity of the Divine Mind, as they develop a true faith and feeling from their own souls. True faith is formulated by thinking in accord with the principle of Divine Love. People can experience the power of the Creator only as they make the Spirit of Lave and its wisdom organic. They must organize the thought of the Creator into every cell and fiber of their spiritual structure. Faith so developed is a positively intelligent force that can overcome every negative condition of mind, body, and affairs, and reveal that it is generated from the Mind of the Creator.

Your soul is Divine Spirit individualized. It is clothed in thought. Thought is the vehicle of Spirit. Your thoughts of truth and love are spiritual forces which embody the intelligence and power of your soul.

Your soul can find conscious expression only through thoughts akin to its divine nature; therefore, such time as is spent in the study of Truth and in the exercise of Love, in the form of praise and blessings, is wisely spent. Affirmations of the truth and quality of your soul develop a mental body sufficiently positive to allow the soul consciousness to come into expression. This spiritual study and affirmation develop a positive pole for the soul battery; and through this positive pole, the soul will gradually gain control over its negative pole of mind, the body, and bring every negative tendency of the sense-mind into alignment with its wise dominion.

Recognize and talk to your soul in the following manner, and its latent powers will respond to your recognition and love. There is an exalting power in these statements which you will feel as you repeat them over and over.

Awake, my soul, and feel the power of the Creator slumbering in Thee.

Awake, and realize that thou art an Angel of the Ever-Present.

Awake, and be strong with the Strength of thy eternal nature, which shall conquer death and live forever.

You are now strong with the Strength of Omnipotence.

Awake, thou who sleepest, and arise from the darkness, to where the Light of the Ever-Present may shine upon Thee.
