THE SPRY MARITIMES SHOW TURNS 5 THIS SUMMER.
The support the show has received from both the Reps and retailers that participate season after season is heartening and we are delighted that Atlantic Canada has embraced the Spry format and demographic. Importantly; the Show continues to be a work-in-progress and very gradually we are seeing more and more interest from other brands that now see the opportunity the show offers its stakeholders. There are now double the number of brands participating in the show than there was in the first show in Moncton in 2015. That’s remarkable and the trend continues upward. Along the way, the timing of the show has shifted, the location of the show has shifted and the mix of product categories represented has shifted. This will likely continue as the show develops further. It’s an important mandate that the show continues to have the flexibility to be what the stakeholders want and need. We encourage feedback at anytime from anyone that would like to influence how valuable and productive the show can be in the future. The show continues to develop with a quite diverse group of brands each season. I think that’s indicative of what it takes to be successful both as Vendor Sales Reps and retailers in Atlantic Canada. I have a deep admiration and respect for the creativity and resourcefulness of business owners and operators in this region and for what it takes to succeed. It is truly enjoyable interacting with everyone that participates in the show and that now has firmly established the Spry Maritimes Show into the destination it is
