Spry Season Preview; Spring/Summer ‘20 June 3rd – 6th, 2019 Embassy Grand, Brampton, On

WELCOME…

To another season of buying for your store and another Spry Winter Market. At the time of writing this Welcome note, the Spry Season Preview is taking place. What’s particularly super-exciting about that is what’s going on outside. There is already accumulations of snow on the ground, threats from the weather-people of 10-15cm more to come and multiple days in-a-row of snow-making temperatures in the forecast. All of this is setting up the local riding season nicely and winter boots and jackets are making cash registers sing. It appears the weather gods have decided to co-operate and at the most appropriate time. A heart-felt “Thanks; Big guy”!

Spry Show - The Treasure Trove

If you haven’t been to the Spry Show before; think of it as a treasure trove. It’s quite unlike most other shows. The treasure trove analogy comes from the fact that the building is quite literally full to the brim with brands at the show and in every corner of the building there are brands and opportunities for your store waiting to be found. Again; there are more than 100 brands that will be showing for the first time. There are lifestyle apparel and accessory brands, athleisure brands and even more footwear brands than ever before. In total there will be 5-600 brands present at the Winter Market, strategically and carefully squeezed into the Embassy Grand building like never before! The Show is a fantastic opportunity to research great new product for your customers for the next Fall/Winter season and to get a ton of buying done for the store in a super-productive and relaxed environment over 4 mid-week days. Coming in for the Show is also a great opportunity to mingle with other progressive, creative independent retailers and to pick up ideas for your store. It always amazes me the great ideas that get bounced around over a chat with a peer whilst having a sandwich in the Buyers Lounge or over a cocktail at the social. We hope and encourage you to spend time at the show.

WELCOME

I look forward to seeing you and to chatting with you in January at the Show. It’s truly enjoyable and refreshing to hear how your store is doing and what things are working well for you.

4

And by the way; 2019 is going to be a very special year for Spry, which will be celebrating 15 years of shows. We hope you can join us for the various celebrations we will host over the course of the year. It will make it even more special if you can. It’s both delightful and an honour to count the number of sales reps and retailers that will be at the show in January that have, quite literally, participated in every single season since the shows started. Remember Barrie, August 2004? Robert Lauder Show manager.

What’s New What’s Hot for Fall ‘19/Winter ‘20 Armada Armada has made Mens Outerwear for 11 years and for the first time presented in two specific forms. Introducing Mens Freeride Outerwear and Mens Freestyle Outerwear. Both shaped and connected by the same vision of what modern ski outerwear should look like. Mens Freeride Outerwear – Targeting a more technical, performance-oriented freeride skier. The evolution of technical outerwear in our line shines in 1920. We took what we loved from our prior models and allowed it to influence a clean, functional design in high end performance fabrics. Mens Freestyle Outerwear – Made for a younger, style-driven and fashion forward consumer. Freestyle is our heritage and our core and we will always stay committed to showcasing its influence. Creativity and unique expression remain at the forefront of this line and guide our design and material choices. Evers GORE-TEX 3L Jacket Our Signature Premier Performance GORE-TEX® 3L Freeride Shell. Brand new for 19/20 the Evers combines a clean,

Fully featured, including 100% Seam Sealing, YKK Aquaguard Zippers, 4-Way Stretch Powder Skirt and Interior Goggle Pocket the Evers comes in a slightly longer, moderate tailored fit and is our interpretation of what a progressive, high performance Freeride Jacket can and should look like. Carson Insulated Jacket Our top-of-the-line Freestyle Jacket, fully featured and insulated. With a full style update for 19/20 the Carson Insulated stays ahead of the pack. The most technical Freestyle Jacket we make has gathered a strong following over the years, and for good reason.
