Rafael Nadal Rafael Nadal, the current World No. 1 player, is a Spanish professional tennis player who has been ranked among the world's Top 5 since 2003.

“Rafa” also known as the “King of Clay”, is only the second male player to achieve the Career Golden Slam and the first to win seven French Open titles. In addition, he won the Roland Garros for four consecutive years, from 2005 to 2008. Nadal has won 13 Grand Slam singles titles, the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles, a record 26 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and a record 14 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments. Rafa is only the

second male player to complete the Career Golden Grand Slam. In 2008, he was ranked No. 1 and also won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Nadal was also a member of the Spain Davis Cup team in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2011. In 2010, he won three Grand Slams and three Masters 1000 tournaments, and regained the No. 1 ranking. Rafa, having mastered other playing

surfaces, is one of 2 players in history to have won at least two Grand Slam titles on three different surfaces, hard court, grass and clay. So far, during the 2013 ATP World Tour Rafa’s undefeated on hard courts. Many tennis critics and former and current players consider Nadal to be one of the greatest players of all time.

PLAYERS Kevin Anderson Kevin is a South African tennis player and became the top-ranked South African player in March 2008 after making the final at the 2008 Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas. He achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 19 in August 2013. In February 2011, in his hometown of Johannesburg, Kevin captured the South African Open title for his first ATP-level event title. Anderson has represented South Africa in both Davis Cup play and in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Anderson played three seasons of college tennis in the United States at the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. He was a three-time All-American in singles and two-time All-American in doubles. During his sophomore year (2005–06), he won the national doubles championship with his partner, Ryan Rowe. The following season (2006–07), he led the Fighting Illini Men’s tennis team to a national runner-up finish before again reaching the national championship match in doubles with Ryan Rowe and reaching the semi-finals in singles.

Mario Ancic Mario Ancic is a retired Croatian tennis player. He won three singles titles and five doubles titles. His career-high singles ranking came during the ATP Tour, when he reached World No. 7. Apart from his success on the ATP Tour, Mario helped the Croatia Davis Cup Team to win the 2005 Davis Cup and at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, he and won a bronze medal in doubles for Croatia. As a teenager making his Grand Slam tennis debut at the 2002 Wimbledon

Championships, he defeated seventhseeded Roger Federer. His best performance at Grand Slams came at the 2004 Wimbledon Championships, when he reached the semifinals. In 2008, Mario went on to earn his law degree. He has had the opportunity to speak on 2 occasions to Harvard Law Students regarding his tennis and law experiences.

PLAYERS Mike Bryan With his twin brother Bob Bryan, he has been World No. 1 doubles player for the last several years, first achieving the top ranking in September 2003. The twins have won multiple Olympic Medals, including the Gold in 2012. They have won 86 doubles titles including a record 15 Grand Slam titles. In 2005, he and Bob made it to the finals of all the 4 Grand Slam tournaments, only the second time such a feat has been achieved in the

Open Era. Bob and Mike Bryan are currently ranked No.1 in the ATP for a record 9 times. Together they had the most wins, 20, by a US Davis Cup doubles team. The brothers have been voted Fans Favorite Doubles Team for 9 years. Due to their success, they have been nicknamed â&#x20AC;&#x153;The Wonder Twinsâ&#x20AC;? after a fictional comic book duo.

Sorana Cirstea Sorana Cirstea is the second highest ranked Romanian tennis player and has appeared in the quarterfinals of the 2009 French Open and the semifinals of the Los Angeles Open. She is a power player with a deceptively good serve, quick covering of the ground with her long strides and has a good reading of the game. As a doubles player, she is also very solid with her volley and groundstrokes. Her forehand and backhand are delivered quickly on both sides. Cirstea is a former ITF Junior Circuit top-ten player, reaching her highest

ranking of no. six in June 2006. At the 2007 French Open, Sorana made it to the finals in doubles tournament. Cirstea then had her breakthrough tournament at the 2009 French Open where she upset the 21st seed Aliz Cornet. Having advanced to the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time, she defeated doubles partner Caroline Wozniacki, the tenth seed. Cirstea continued her run with an upset over the fifth-seed to advance to her first Grand Slam quarterfinals. She has played in each Grand Slam tournament the past six years and continues to be an outstanding player to watch in both singles and doubles matches.

PLAYERS Stefan Edberg Stefan Edberg is one of the most successful tennis players of the '80s and '90s. He started playing at the age of seven, following the footsteps of his childhood idol Björn Borg. He had a promising junior career and bounced to the tennis world's attention in 1983, when he became the first and only player to complete the junior Grand Slam. In his professional career, Stefan won 42 singles (6 Grand Slams) and 18 doubles titles (3 Grand Slams), led Sweden to lift four Davis Cups, conquered the Olympic gold medal in Los Angeles in 1984. He was world number one both in singles and in doubles, a record he shares with John McEnroe. In singles, he first stood in the top position of the ranking in August 1990 and occupied that spot for 72 non-consecutive weeks.

Edberg was one of the most brilliant serve & volley specialists and his style of play was admired for its elegance all around the world. The most prestigious achievements in the Swede's distinguished record are his two titles at Wimbledon in 1988 and 1990, winning the US Open in 1991 and 1992 and also, the Australian Open in 1985 and 1987. Stefan has won the ATP Sportsmanship Award five times and this prize was named after him in 1996, when Edberg retired from professional tennis. He joined the Tour of Champions in 2008 and plays occasional exhibition matches, mainly in Northern Europe.

Daniela Hantuchova Daniela Hantuchova is a former World No. 5, achieved in 2003. She an accomplished Slovak singles and doubles tennis player and won her first WTA Tournament in 2002. She also reached the quarterfinals of that year’s Wimbledon Championship and the US Open, ending the year in the top 10. In 2003, she reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. She has gone on to win five WTA tournaments. In 2008, she reached the semifinals of the Australian Open. As a doubles player, in 2005 she became only the 5th female tennis player to

complete the career Grand Slam in mixed doubles. She has won a host of mixed doubles Grand Slam events including Wimbledon in 2002, the 2002 Australian Open, the 2005 French Open and the US Open in 2005. In addition, Daniela also reached the finals of the women’s doubles at the Australian Open in both 2002 and 2009 and at the French Open in 2006. Daniela is considered to be the most successful Slovak tennis player of all time and became only the 37th woman in the Open Era to reach 500 career wins by winning the Aegon Classic in June 2013.

PLAYERS Martina Hingis Martina Hingis is a Swiss professional tennis player who spent a total of 209 weeks as World No. 1. In 1993, 12-year-old Hingis became the youngest player to win a Grand Slam junior title: the girls' singles at the French Open. In 1994, she retained her French Open junior title, won the girls' singles title at Wimbledon, and reached the final of the US Open. She made her professional debut in October 1994. She ended the year ranked World No. 87, and in January 1995, she became the youngest player to win a match at a Grand Slam tournament when she advanced to the second round of the Australian Open. At fifteen, Martina was the youngest Grand Slam champion of all time.

In 1997, she became the youngest singles Grand Slam tournament winner of the 20th century after her victory in the Australian Open, and the youngest-ever World No. 1. She won five Grand Slam singles titles including three Australian Opens, one Wimbledon, and one US Open. She also won nine Grand Slam women's doubles titles, winning a calendar-year doubles Grand Slam in 1998, and one Grand Slam mixed doubles title. In 2006, she returned to the WTA tour in 2006 and climbed to World No. 6 and won three singles titles. In June 2011, she was named one of the "30 Legends of Women's Tennis: Past, Present and Future" by Time magazine. In 2013, Hingis was elected into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Dominic Inglot Dominic Inglot is an English professional tennis player who specializes in playing doubles. He turned pro in 2004 and is currently ranked No. 32 in doubles. He has made the final of eight ATP Challenger Tour Events winning five of them, and has made the final of three ATP Tour events at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships and Swiss Indoors, winning the Citi Open with is partner, Treat Conrad Huey. Inglot and Huey met at The University of Virginia

and this year had a great run in the US Open, only to be defeated in the quarter finals. He is the current British No.3 and English No.2. In 2004, Dominic made his film debut when he was picked to serve as the tennis double for actor Paul Bettany who played a British tennis player who won Wimbledon with a wild card entry in the film Wimbledon.

PLAYERS Ana Ivanovic Ana Ivanovic is a Serbian tennis player formerly ranked No. 1 in the world in 2008 and is currently ranked No. 16 in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). Ana started playing tennis at age 5 after watching it on TV then remembering a phone number to a local tennis school and begging parents to take her. She was given a racquet for fifth birthday and immediately fell in love with the game. As a 17-year-old, Ana first caught the world's eye when she reached the final of the 2004 Junior Wimbledon Tournament. That year she also held her own and almost beat Serena Williams. The next year Ivanovic won her first career singles title. Her ranking continued to rise after she posted big wins against some Top 10 players. By the end of 2006, Ana was ranked 14th in the world, then the next year she

climbed up to fourth! Ana's biggest victory to date came at the 2008 French Open, where she won her first Grand Slam singles title. She also qualified for the annual WTA Tour Championships in 2007 and 2008. In addition, Ana has won the Tournament of Champions both in 2010 and 2011 and has won 11 WTA Tour Singles titles. In June 2011, she was named one of the “30 Legends of Women’s Tennis: Past, Present and Future” by Time and was also included on the list of Top 100 Greatest Players Ever (male and female combined) by reporter Matthew Cronin. Ivanovic is known for her aggressive style of play and impressive forehand. She relies heavily on her power. She is very versatile and can shine on all surfaces. Nadia Petrova describes Ana as “the best out there.”

Petra Kvitova Petra currently ranked World No. 7, is a Czech Republic professional tennis player and one of her greatest inspirations is Martina Navratilova. Known for her powerful left-handed shots and variety, she has won eleven career singles titles. In October 2011, she reached her career-high ranking of World No. 2. Kvitová won Wimbledon in 2011 and the WTA Tour Championship singles titles, becoming the first Grand Slam tennis event winner of either gender born in the 1990s, and the third player to win the WTA

Championships on her first attempt. She has also reached the semifinals of the 2012 Australian Open and the 2012 French Open. Kvitová competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics for the Czech Republic where she reached the quarterfinals. Some of her awards include 2010 WTA Newcomer of the Year and in 2011 was named WTA Player of the Year, WTA Most Improved Player, Fan Favorite Breakthrough Player and Czech Athlete of the Year. Petra remains one of the top players to watch.

PLAYERS Martina Navratilova A champion on and off the court, Martina is not only a tennis legend, but also an inspirational leader who demonstrates tenacity, candor and motivation. Martina amassed an unmatched number of professional records over the course of a career that spanned an amazing four decades. She overcame the odds to become both one of the most successful tennis players ever and an equally successful leader. Martina won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 major women's doubles titles (an all-time record), and 10 major mixed doubles titles. She reached the Wimbledon singles final 12 times, including nine consecutive years from 1982 through 1990, and won the women's singles title at Wimbledon a record nine times. Navratilova is one of just three women to have

accomplished a career Grand Slam in singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, the Grand Slam "boxed set". She holds the open era record with 167 singles titles and 177 doubles titles and recorded the longest winning streak of 74 consecutive matches In women's doubles, Navratilova and Pam Shriver won 109 consecutive matches and won the Grand Slam in 1984. Also, the pair set an all-time record of 79 titles together and tied the record of 20 major women's doubles titles as a team. In addition, Martina won the season ending WTA Tour Championships a record 8 times and made the finals a record 14 times and won the doubles title a record 11 times. Billie Jean King calls Martina “the greatest singles, doubles and mixed doubles player who’s ever lived.”

Michael Russell Michael Russell began playing tennis at age five. In 1996, he was ranked #1 in U.S. Boys' 18-Under. At the University of Miami, Russell was named NCAA Rookie of the Year and finished No. 7 in collegiate rankings before turning pro in 1998.

Houston, Texas. He came through qualifying and beat top seed, world no. 9 in straight sets and was his first win over a top 10 player. Michael made it to the quarterfinals of the 2012 National Indoor Tennis Championships.

PLAYERS Jack Sock Jack went undefeated in high school and in 2010, became a junior U.S. Open singles champion. Jack is an aggressive baseliner with his forehand and serve being his biggest weapons. His second serve is one of the most devastating of the younger generation and he hits with a large amount of spin, as seen on his forehand and second serve. At the 2011 U.S. Open, he received a wildcard winning his first ATP main-draw match over Marc Gicquel. He advanced to play his idol Andy Roddick, a fellow Nebraskan in the second round but fell

short of the win. However, his real breakthrough came when he won the mixed doubles title with Melanie Oudin. 2013 has been an exciting year for Jack. He competed alongside James Blake at the U.S National Indoor Tennis Championships, reaching the finals, where the pair lost to the Bryan brothers. He returned to the US to win his 2nd career Challenger level title in July, allowing him to break into the top 100 for the first time in his career. At the US Open, Jack made it to the 3rd round, which raised his ranking to 86.

Vincent Spadea Vincent Spadea is a ATP Tour professional tennis player and reached a career high tenth position in the ATP Champions Race in April 2003, as well as a career-high ATP eighteenth ranking in February 2005. At the 1999 Australian Open Menâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Singles, Spadea achieved his best performance in a major by reaching the quarterfinals. In September 1999, Spadea achieved a top 20 ranking for the first time. In 2004, Vince won his first career ATP Tour tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona. He continued his journey back up the world

rankings and was back in the top 20 by late 2004. In 2003, Spadea reached the semi-finals of a Masters event for the first time in his career. He went on to the Monte Carlo Masters a month later and reached his 2nd semi-finals in a Masters series. He reached the third round at the 2008 Australian Open. He closed the season by winning two Challenger titles in Waco,TX and Calabasas,CA. Spadea published his autobiographical book, Break Point: The Secret Diary Of A Pro Tennis Player in 2006.

SPECIAL GUESTS Boris Becker At 6’ 3” tall it didn't take long for Becker to make his mark on the game. With his monster serve, the teenager rode a wave of momentum to reach the 1985 Wimbledon finals. At 17, he was the youngest men's player in history to win a Grand Slam title, as well as the first non-seeded player to win the prestigious tournament. Becker repeated his Wimbledon triumph the following year with a straight-set victory over Ivan Lendl. He lost to Stefan Edberg in the 1988 finals but hoisted the winner’s trophy again in 1989, when he also won the U.S. Open championship. Becker won his fifth major title in the 1991 Australian Open, a victory that earned him the No. 1

overall ranking for the first time in his career. He claimed his sixth and final Grand Slam in 1996 at the Australian Open. In addition to his success in the majors, Becker was a force in Davis Cup play. He led Germany to victory in 1988 and 1989, and at one point won 22 consecutive Davis Cup singles matches. Becker also won the year-end ATP World Championships three times, and secured Olympic gold with doubles partner Michael Stich in 1992. But the powerful German is best remembered for his success on the famed grass courts of Wimbledon, where he rocketed to stardom.

Ball Boys & Girls Please welcome our event ball boys and girls. They have been training hard for the past two months and are all very excited to be a part of the event. There will be a clinic set up for the ball kids. Here they can show off their tennis talents. Who knows, the

WTT LEGENDS COACHES Wayne Bryan Father of World # Doubles Team, Bob and Mike Bryan, Wayne Bryan heads up KIDS DAYS for the ATP in America. He also does "on court interviews", intros, tennis clinics, television commentary, and other emcee work for the ATP Tour and the Champion Series. He also makes numerous appearances each year as the front man for his two bands, The Wayne Bryan Band and The Bryan Bros. Band. Bryan was the Coach of the Idaho Sneakers of World Team Tennis in 1999 and he coached the Sacramento Capitals to the World Team Tennis Championship in 2002 and 2007. He was named the WTT Coach of the Year in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Bryan was named Pro of the

Year by the PTR in February of 2008. Jeff Newman, Tournament Director of the Legg Mason Tennis Championships, says Bryan is "One of the sportís greatest showmen,...and one of its most widelyrecognized ambassadors. Bryan founded and ran the Cabrillo Racquet Club, with numerous nationally ranked players and youngsters being awarded Division I Tennis Scholarships. Cabrillo won 32 SoCal Junior Team Tennis Titles and 10 State JTT Championships during Bryan's 25 years at the club. Cabrillo was named the Southern California "Club of the Year" in 1995.

Murphy Jensen Murphy Jensen won the 1993 French Open doubles with his brother Luke. The brothers went on to capture four additional ATP Tour doubles titles, reaching a career high rank of Number 5 in the world. He is currently the Director of Tennis at Sea island in Georgia and a former host of two Tennis Channel programs, "Open Access" and "Murphyís Guide.î Still participating in legends tennis events like the Gentlemanís 35ís at

Wimbledon, Murphy continues to team up with his brother Luke for some tennis. Murphy also hits the road occasionally ó giving tennis workshops, playing exhibition matches and emceeing and speaking at premier ATP and WTA events. In 1994 Murphy and Luke co-founded the JensenSchmidt Tennis Academy with Vince Schmidt, providing tennis instruction for children with Down Syndrome.

WTT LEGENDS COACHES Johan Kjellsten Johan finished as an All-American playing #1 at LSU; and, was the first player in the history of his college to win a Collegiate Grand Slam, the NCAA Clay Court Championship. Johan ranked as NCAA #3 and won 4 professional tour events. He holds an MBA in finance and has over 25 years of experience working in the international tennis industry. Johan has worked as a player agent for several Top 10 players in world and has worked intensively to expand the Global Tennis Legacy Foundation into the US. He has developed a global network and expertise in the highly integrated world of tennis. Johan is part of a new signature athletic program called Vicht featuring Roger Federer's former coach, Peter Lundgren, at Galleria Tennis Athletic Club in Houston.

Michael Brandon Michael resides in Sarasota Florida. He is a former junior player from Nashville Tennessee. Michael coached at the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy for 5 years. The Bollettieri Academy is known for coaching many champions such as Agassi, Becker, Courier, Hingis, Jankovic, Rios, Seles, Sharapova and Venus and Serena Williams. Michael traveled around the world for IMG as a coach for ITF- level competitive juniors and USTA pro circuit players.

Leon Patchett Leon Patchett grew up in Australia where he played a variety of sports including; Tennis, Cricket, Rugby, Australian Rules Football and Soccer. After graduating from Bond University, with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1996, Leon moved into the automotive industry where he spent time with General Motors in North America and eventually back to Australia with an automotive wholesale company. The years of 1999-2003 Leon trained and played on the domestic circuit with some of Australia’s top junior and adult players. Red Sport Australia approached Leon in 2002 to fill the Head coaching position at its expanding Gold Coast site. Along the way Leon progressed his skills by completing a Development and Advanced coaching course with Tennis Australia.Leon completed his training with Peter Burwash International at the beautiful Carmel Valley Ranch, California in September of 2006. In October of the same year Leon was appointed to the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt where he was Director of tennis until April 2009. From April 2009 until July Leon was the Tennis Director at The Yarze Country Club in Beirut, Lebanon. For the years July 2009 until November 2012 Leon was the Director of tennis at Tokyo Lawn Tennis Club. Leon’s last PBI site was at the Intercontinental Muscat in Oman

Ben Cooper Ben Cooper is a former Zealand U18 Nationally Ranked No. #1 Doubles Player, and Former New Zealand U18 Nationally Ranked No. #2 Singles Player. At the age of 17, Ben achieved his highest N.Z Men’s National Tennis Ranking of No. #7. He played NCAA Division Ι Tennis at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton FL, graduating with a B.Sc (Biology) Pre Med. Ben currently resides in the USA and returns to Necker as part of the WTT Legends Camp Coaching Team.

Abigail Desiantnikov Born January 2001, in Cleveland, OH, USA, to Russian native parents, Eugene and Irina, Abigail (Abby) Desiatnikov was introduced to the tennis ball at an early age. By age 3 she was following her father around their local tennis club in Mayfield Heights, OH, with a racquet and plenty of determination. She entered her first local G10s tournament at age 6, winning the back-draw. Abby has not slowed down since. By age 11, Abby had captured two of the most coveted G12s titles in junior tennis: the USTA National Championships in Alpharetta, GA, USA, as well as the prestigious International Orange Bowl title. That same year, Abby captured two back-to-back

USTA National Open titles, in the G14s age division.

This past year, Abby turned 12 and has relocated with her family to Atlanta, GA, USA, to further pursue her tennis dreams. Despite the many changes to her training routine, tennis coaching and the beginning of a complete overhaul to her service motion, she captured the G16s USTA National Open title in May 2013. Most recently, Abby was a Silver Medalist in both the singles and doubles girls divisions at the International Children’s Games in Windsor-Essex, Canada, in August 2013. The ICG have 74 participating countries and is the largest gathering of young people (ages 12-15) taking part in sport in the world. Abby’s contributions brought the USA’s total medal count to 10.

Abby is currently ranked #1 on TennisRecruiting.com in her age group, class of 2019, where she has been consistently ranked for the past 2 years. Her rankings, in the more often fluctuating and older age division, on the USTA’s Girls 14&U list have steadily placed her in the top 20 over the past six months. Growing up, Abby has looked up to many amazing tennis players, and one of her long-time favorites is Rafael Nadal. She is excited and honored to meet and be involved in a program with one of her most admired role models.

They recognize the need, as do we, that this activity is a wonderful chance to capitalize on their presence in the BVI in order to sustain and maintain longevity of tennis especially amongst our youngsters for the short and long- term future.
