Statement of Need: There are many myths surrounding the use of nonsteroidal anti-in ammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and while it is important to dispel these myths, it is also imperative to understand what risks might be involved. NSAIDs, like all medications, carry the potential for side effects and other dangers that must be understood for effective use in pain management. Following the CMEOCast podcast episode that busts the aforementioned NSAID myths, this fourth and nal episode in the series features expert faculty discussing the precautions to take when prescribing NSAIDs for acute and chronic pain. Learning Objectives: At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to: • Apply evidence and guideline recommendations supporting non-opioid pain management to treatment decision-making.
