Before discussing the changes or e ects brought by the AVR and ARM in the eld of electronic devices like: microwave ovens, mobile phones TV etc. We must know what are AVR and ARM AVR and ARM are the micro controllers which can be used as RAM, EEPROM, timers etc. Required to do some pre x work, can be de ned as a single chip on computer but not a computer. Advance RISC machines are represented by ARM while AVR can be de ned as advanced virtual RISC mainly used in robotics embedded system being a combination of hardware and software. The AVR & ARM are the chip of semiconductors mainly made for silicon and which is heart of microprocessors transistor as well. The AVR is improved version of Harvard architecture 8-bit RISC single chip micro controller developed by Atmel in 1996 as far as ARM is concerned it is a family of instruction sets made for computer processors depending on reduced instruction sets completing architecture. The computer design depending on RISC means ARM processor reduces the requirement of transistors remarkably than the typical CICS X86 processors used in most of the personal computers. The use of ARM in electronic devices reduces the cost, heat and power consumption. Such qualities were desired for light, portable battery power, gadgets like: smart phones, tablets, laptops, notepads and in other embedded systems. This simple device has made possible to design low cost, more e cient, multipurpose CPU and higher core-counts costing less and more efficient in the consumption of energy. Hence we found that the induction of AVR and ARM Development board brought signi cant changes in electronic gadgets and thus helped us in saving power, cost etc.
