Before going ahead we must know what are 3.5 mm audio jack cables or 3.5 mm audio jack connection cables. A combination of plug & socket used extensively in devices which are portable for analog audio signals. A connector which is used in electronics specifically for analog signals basically audio known as phone connector is a common family of connectors cylindrical in shape of 3.5 mm or 1/8th inch in diameter & having typical two three or four contacts. Basically the phone connectors invented in 19th century is still widely in use, for telephone switch boards. The primary structure of connector the outer diameter of sleeve is 6.35 mm (1/4 inch). The connector having a diameter of 3.5 mm also known as mini connector & the other having other diameter 2.5 mm is called sub mini connector. As already discussed these connectors have two, three or four contacts symbolized by TS, TRS, TRRS respectively where T stand for Tip, R for ring, and S for sleeve. These connectors are also termed as audio jack, phone jack, audio plug and jack plug. Presently the phone connectors available are in three standard sizes. The one 6.5 mm size since its advent and was used in manually operated telephone exchanges yet in use. The other two that is 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm connectors primarily created for earpiece, transistors radios. All the three sizes of connector are available readily today in two conductors. Unbalanced mono & three conductors. Balanced mono or unbalanced stereo type. Four and ve conductor’s versions of the 3.5 mm plug are used speci cally like compact camcorders, portable media players, laptops & smart phones etc. Concluding that the 3.5 mm audio jack cables on 3.5 mm, audio jack connection cables are of intensive use in the eld of communication
