purpose for spaces

Purpose, Space cannot exist without time or purpose. In Architecture this Notion does not exist since Space exist even when its devoid of purpose or time. Breaking away from tradition and bridging the notion of time and space was completed by bringing a sense of dynamism to space, to keep up with time and purpose.

Emphasis on the character of the un-built spaces.

Physical barriers deviate the visual axis through the movement path though the visual continuity is maintained The Winding movement through a series of spaces create varied mental conditioning as in the temple sequence Choices of movement path allow the individual freedom of relating in one’s own way. Movement as a critical feature to induce kinetic perception of space

MODEL

The 3d model shows that the building is raised and supported on massive columns. Thus providing a visual connection to the river

RADICAL AGENDA

8

“Architecture should serve the social condition of the people rather than just for visual senses. Hence understanding the social behaviour of the regional society and serving them becomes a primary agenda, problems like climate, material and structure are pure technological depended hence they are time based should be solved based on existing technology rather than working in Isolation. Since today we have new theory ,new tool, new production techniques for building construction.”

Hot and dry climate demands a Structure which is less ventilated, smaller windows and less heat gain and due to site restriction the massing has to be dense to fit the requirement. By looking at various examples of dense and porus structure we can find various examexam ples that is found in the Nature

massing developement: climate study Housing Clubhouse Blocks placed to avoid wind movement along the periphery Blocks placed in ‘L’ shape to funnel the air, to reduce heat gain and unwanted dry winds. Blocks placed in ‘H’ Shape to funnel the air, and also provide large open space in the centre. Cutout for light and ventilation of units below. Final massing with all Units ,Clubhouse and Parking require Cell generated based on functional requirement Cells clustered based on offsets conditions.
