Notable Service Project Recently, the Ashland Key Club donated $500 to Luke Laurenson, a 3rd grade student at Bellview Elementary School in Ashland. He is nine years old and suffers from cerebral palsy. Because of this, he requires a walker or wheelchair to get around school and at home. The donation was raised by the Ashland High School Key Club and presented to Luke and his Mom at an Ashland Kiwanis meeting on May 27. Back Row: Marina Taconni, Alana Foley, Roxy Shultz, Sita McGuire, Rachel Parks, Ashley Knect, and Bailey Robinson Front Row: Lilli Patton Carly Walker, Luke Laurenson, Olivia Knox and Sabrina Scoggins.

Luke is a Sparrow, the name given by Sparrow Clubs USA. This is a non-profit organization based in the Pacific Northwest, principally in Oregon and Washington at this time. The premise for the club is for high schools to adopt children with various medical issues, such as cancer, and to provide financial support to the families to help cover medical expenses. May 2014
