Musician and songwriter on the rise, Blake Rose returns with the release of his debut EP, ‘A World Gone By,’ via AWAL Recordings. The 7-track collection of songs features previously released tracks, “Casanova,” “Movie” and “Ordinary People,” as well as the current EP focus track “Rollerblades.”

Speaking about the new EP, Blake reveals, “My debut EP ‘A World Gone By’ is a coming of age project for me. It touches on my experiences so far with childhood, love, truma and growing up in the age of social media. I put my heart and soul into it and I hope you enjoy!”
‘A World Gone By’ arrives alongside an official music video for “Rollerblades,” which was directed by Brent Campanelli and filmed on location in Venice, CA.
Talking about the new video, Blake explains “Rollerblades is about how our current digestion of social media can cause us to have warped, negative perception of reality that we can’t avoid.”

This past summer, Blake teased the new EP with a new single, “Casanova” ( https://youtu.be/kkQwCol5PP8 ), which was praised by V Magazine for bringing a “tried-and-tested recipe for power, pump, and grit” and Billboard, who proclaimed “Blake Rose may very well take off soon,” hailing “Rose’s crisp vocal” and calling it “a pure pop single about playing the game of love.” This was followed with another stellar cut, “Movie”, alongside an official music video ( https://youtu.be/4xx4ncXUQto ), directed by Sean Hollihan (who previously worked with Blake on the “Casanova” video). Speaking about “Movie,” Blake revealed, “Movie is about putting your life into perspective and questioning your current situation by imagining yourself on your deathbed. For me, it’s about trying to show someone you care about that the relationship they’re in is toxic,” he explained. “Sometimes we tend to wallow in familiarity even if it’s hurtful. It feels too scary to venture outside of that because it’s uncomfortable but ironically that’s exactly what we’re trying to escape. You don’t have to settle for the life you think you deserve, you deserve so much more.”
The EP follows a series of official remixes for his hit single “Lost” ( https://youtu.be/0cHxa4wfp80 ) , including fresh takes on the track from Lucian, Sarcastic Soundsand NASAYA. The original version of “Lost” has accrued more than 60 million combined global streams to date.
Blake Rose is also hitting the road this month, joining American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan on his upcoming North American I Was/I Am Tour. The 38-city tour kicks off in St. Louis on October 14 before concluding December 19 in Phoenix. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.blakerosemusic.com.
Blake has amassed over 150 million combined global streams across his entire catalogue, which include the singles “Lost,” “Ordinary People,” “Rest Of Us” and “Gone,” which was accompanied by a stunning live rendition, taped in Los Angeles, pre-lock-down, that has already surpassed half a million views. Complete with string arrangements, the video showcases the young Australian artist, songwriter and producer’s effortless ability to perform live; with his Buckley-esque vocals, luscious electricguitar-driven melodies, and knack for writing insanely infectious alternative pop songs. “I try to give listeners an experience,” he reveals. “I take a lot of time with every element to make sure I’m creating a world people can immerse themselves into. Whether the narrative is precise or ambiguous I try to attain a certain level of depth with each song that I hope people can latch onto and let it be as much a part of their own story as it is mine.” Watch the video for “Gone” here at https://youtu.be/YwV-9dLYARM.
Born in Australia and based in Los Angeles, Blake Rose’s sound is anchored in luminous and lush six-string conjurations, offset by sparse beat-craft, off-kilter plugins, in-the-box wizardry, and soulful intonation. “The guitar is generally the driving link between the songs,” he goes on. “It’s how I typically write. Everything starts there.” In just over a year, Blake Rose has gone from busking in the streets of Perth to becoming one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in recent years. He catapulted into the spotlight in 2019 with self-penned, selfproduced gems such as his debut ‘Hotel Room,’ which Spotify touted on New Music Friday, with the follow-up track, “Lost,” further igniting a buzz. Now, with the addition of the “A World Gone By” EP to his arsenal, Blake further solidifies his potential as a global force in music.

Dijon has announced that his debut album Absolutely, will be out November 5th. The highly-anticipated album was recorded over the course of a few fervent weeks whilst in tight confines with a close-knit group of collaborators and friends. The album channels the unfettered emotion of Dijon’s live show, which has become a “you had to be there” topic of conversation in the music community with his performance entrancing any witnesses over the last several years.
?To coincide with the album announcement, Dijon shares a video of him perfoming the opening track to his forthcoming debut full length, showcasing the energy and passion pumped into the recording process of Absolutely. As the song builds, more members of the band are revealed in the rustic, country dining room. Absolutely will also feature the previously released single “Many Times” ( https://youtu.be/F8NeBYucGcw ), which arrived with a frantic music video portraying Dijon’s writing process in the same environment as the latest live performance video.
Last year saw the release of Dijon’s critically-acclaimed EP, How Do You Feel About Getting Married? ( https:// dijon.lnk.to/Married ), which included “Jesse” ( https://youtu.be/a2d2FD3hBcY ),Vice’s #15 pick on their 100 Best Songs of 2020 list. How Do You Feel About Getting Married? is built from the Americana-tinged, R&B palate Dijon introduced on his 2019 debut EP Sci Fi 1 ( https://dijon.lnk.to/SciFi1 ), and NPR declared the project “a new peak in cerebral, soul-slicing honesty.” Dijon rounded out the year with his highly praised and star-studded collaboration “The Stranger” ( https://youtu.be/J8CUuL_Fgr8 ), featuring John C. Reilly, Tobias Jesso Jr., Sachi, Dan Reeder, and Becky and the Birds, which Rolling Stone said, “feels as if it contains a sprawling, occasionally strange, but ultimately cohesive little universe inside of it.”
