Post parade, featuring Rockaway’s first-ever Irish shopping village, live music, dance presentations and food—The Rockaway Hotel is hosting quite the extravaganza of activities for all to celebrate Irish pride. The shopping village is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring an eclectic array of vendors at the Pool House. In the Harbor Room (tickets are needed for admission, $50 per person, children 12 and under are free), gear up for a shimmering entertainment lineup: 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Andy Cooney, 3:30 to 4 p.m. O'Malley Irish Dance Academy, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Canny Brothers Band, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Slainte (hailing from Boston, this band makes their first debut in Rockaway!). The Rockaway Rugby Club hosts the biggest parade day fêtes, and with Shilelagh Law back headlining, expect a jam-packed, fun-loving lineup of fun and more fun! According to organizers, the tent is bigger, packing in even more parade-day revelers! Two Degrees, back from Ireland, opens the show at 2:30 p.m., and DJ Timmy Tubs spins all day long.
