INVEST ROCKHAMPTON AGRIBUSINESS BEEF FEEDLOTS Rockhampton is affectionately known as the Beef Capital of Australia with the broader region having the largest cattle producing area in the nation. Advance Rockhampton, Rockhampton Regional Council’s economic development unit sees the development of cattle feedlots in the Fitzroy Agricultural Corridor as being crucial to strengthening of the local beef supply chain. We’d like to actively support the feedlot industry in considering our region for a potential large scale cattle feedlot expansion. Detailed studies have been undertaken to identify suitable land for intensive livestock operations including feedlots with these being west of Rockhampton.
