Of the original Dokken members, only Don Dokken and Mick Brown remained. This line-up released the album Long Way Home, but John Norum suffered a hand injury during the band’s early 2002 tour of Europe and had to be replaced by former Dark Lord guitarist Alex De Rosso who played over a hundred Dokken shows. That same year, Dokken was featured in the Metal Edge Rock Fest tour along with Ratt, FireHouse, and other similar acts. In the spring of 2003, Dokken embarked on an extensive tour of the United States, opening for Scorpions and Whitesnake. After the tour, guitarist Alex De Rosso lost his visa and had to return to Italy.

VIDEO Alex recorded the all-star album for Rus sian band Pushking, a project with rock icons Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley, Billy Gibbons, Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, Eric Martin, Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Nuno Betterncourt.

“Fast” Eddie Clarke and Pete Way

Fastway - Fast Eddie Clarke, Pete Way, Waysted & Motorhead Hearing that UFO bassist Pete Way was keen to leave that band, the two met and decided their new band’s name would be an amalgamation of their own two names, resulting in Fastway. They advertised in the music press for a drummer and a vocalist. Meanwhile, a rehearsal was organised for which The Clash drummer, Topper Headon, filled in on drums. Headon was doing this as a favour so that Clarke and Way could rehearse. The ads began showing positive results, cassettes from potential band members arrived; one of these was from a young singer named Dave King. Clarke was impressed with his voice and financed a trip to London for King and, after an audition together, King became the Fastway vocalist. Ex-Humble Pie member, Jerry Shirley, became the drummer. The band sent out demo tapes and were approached by CBS Records for a recording deal. Way announced his departure just as they were about to sign the deal, but CBS had faith in Fastway and decided to sign them despite this setback. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Eddie_Clarke

ichael Schenker (born January 10, 1955) is a hard rock and heavy metal guitarist of UFO and a founding member of the Scorpions. He signed with Chrysalis Records in autumn 1979 after leaving UFO. He is the younger brother of Rudolf Schenker of Scorpions fame. Michael was born in Sarstedt, Germany. He started playing in his early teens when his brother Rudolph brought home a Flying V guitar, which captured Michael’s imagination. His playing style is unusual in that he seems not to use conventionally practiced guitar scales but seems instead to improvise. Listen to some awesome guitar work:

debut was “Had To Cry Today” – the bluesy, riff-heavy opener to Blind Faith’s self-entitled debut album and possibly one of vocalist Steve Winwood’s best vocal performances ever.

Richard Roman “Ric” Grech Born, 1 November 1946, Bordeaux, France – 17 March 1990, Leicester, England, was a British rock musician and multi-instrumentalist. In the spring of 1969, former Cream guitarist Eric Clapton and former Traffic frontman Steve Winwood formed the supergroup Blind Faith; in need of a bassist, they immediately recruited Grech, with whom they’d both jammed when Clapton was in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and Winwood was in the Spencer Davis Group. However, Grech failed to give Chapman and Whitney adequate notice, and Family was due to start a U.S. tour with Ten Years After. Grech agreed to go on the tour until Family could replace him, but he proved to be unreliable when Family played their first American show on 8 April 1969 at the Fillmore East in New York, being so disoriented he could barely play. Returning to England, Grech recorded with the group the self-titled album, Blind Faith, with Clapton, Winwood, and drummer Ginger Baker, a former bandmate of Clapton’s in Cream. The quartet toured the U.S. to support it. Clapton was disappointed with the quality of the music and the performances, and Blind Faith called it quits. Grech and Winwood stayed with Baker to form Ginger Baker’s Air Force, a “supergroup” which also included Denny Laine (ex-Moody Blues) on guitar, Chris Wood (ex-Traffic) on sax and flute, and several other musicians; when that group ended, Winwood reformed Traffic with original members Wood and Jim Capaldi, and Grech joined as their bassist. In October 1969, between Blind Faith and Traffic, Grech recorded two tracks for an unfinished solo project, “Spending All My Days” and “Exchange And Mart.” Among the participants in the session was George Harrison. In 1970, he appeared on Graham Bond’s album Holy Magick. As in Family, Grech lasted two albums with Traffic — Welcome to the Canteen and The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. Along with drummer Jim Capaldi, Grech co-wrote the minor hit “Rock N Roll Stew.” Drugs, however, remained a problem, and Winwood and his bandmates eventually decided they had no alternative but to dismiss him. Grech remained active in session work, playing with Rod Stewart, Ronnie Lane, Vivian Stanshall and Muddy Waters. He also worked with Rosetta Hightower, the Crickets, Bee Gees and Gram Parsons. In January 1973, he performed in Eric Clapton’s Rainbow Concert, and he reunited with Roger Chapman and Charlie Whitney when the duo recorded an album in 1974 after Family’s breakup. Grech was one of many special guests on that record, which led Chapman and Whitney to form the group Streetwalkers. Grech, however, was not in that band. Grech made at least two reported attempts to start a new rock group in the seventies but both failed. During 1973-74, he played in one of numerous versions of the late Buddy Holly backing band The Crickets. Instruments Years active Associated acts

Rolling Stones Hyde Park 1969 Early Vinyl Bootlegs The track list matches what

was later officially released on VHS but this release is from the early 1970’s (1972/3); my best guess is that this came from a dub of a video of one of the TV broadcasts. Contraband released their audience tape in mid-1973 as # 3689, so OG might have been faster and released a much superior sounding version. OG 504 is/was not that rare, surprisingly, and to support that, this is the only OG bootleg I have actually held in my hands when I was in Tokyo last year. While it sold in 2005 for an impressive $250, time has not been kind to what has to be considered the first OG release, due to how easy it became to obtain the source material on CD (and later on DVD). *** Lots to read here: http://www. ukrockfestivals.com/stones-inthe-park.html

Banks Hate Bitcoin In September, 2017, I put $1 worth of Bitcoin in a Bitcoin wallet. Today it is worth $2.50. You cannot open a bank account with $1. In fact, at Bank of America, for example, you have to open an account with $200 then they charge you $14 every month for loaning them money to do whatever they want with your money including closing your bank account and keeping the money if they feel like it. And,

if you let your $200 sit in the bank for the next 14 months, you lose that $200 due to monthly fees. Yet you can trade your fiat (cash) for Bitcoin and get as little as $5, $20, etc. But you may pay a one time fee for the trade so it may be worth it to get a little more than $1. However, no bank, no exchange, nobody can take your money once you have it in your crypto wallet and you are likely to gain substantially by holding it. Many people are becoming millionaires by

trading cash/fiat for Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. It is privately stored in your own walletbank. So, no wonder banks hate Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. A Satoshi is the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin that can currently be sent: 0.00000001 BTC, that is, a hundredth of a millionth BTC. In the future, however, the protocol may be updated to allow further subdivisions, should they be needed. Further examples of units. 1 BTC = 1,000 mBTC (millibitcoin) 1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis, named after the founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

But when it drops people get scared and think they have to sell it because they feel it will never go up again. And, when it is up people feel it will never go down again. But it does. Keep in mind that if you are lucky enough to buy Bitcoin, you are actually holding a very valuable investment that many, including major investors like Bill Gates, Richard Branson and more say will be worth 1 million each in just a few years. Overstock and Expedia accept it. There are currently close to 4.3 million Bitcoins left that aren’t in circulation yet. With only 21 million Bitcoins that will ever exist, this means that there are about 16.7 million Bitcoins currently available. Out of those 16.7 million, it’s estimated that 30% of those may be lost forever as a result of things like hard drive crashes and misplaced private keys. “You buy a million dollar Lamborghini for $100K. The economy tanks and that same Lamborghini is now selling for $100. Do you sell your million dollar Lambo for $100 now or do you buy ten more and wait for the economy to correct itself?” —Crypto Twitter Quote

The future is looking bright for Bitcoin. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, an independent agency of the US government created in 1974 that regulates futures and option markets spoke highly of Bitcoin on February 6, 2014. A few comments: CFTC Chairman, Christopher Giancarlo repeated the regular stated phrase on Crypto Twitter: “HODL”! (Hold On For Dear Life). “I hope people pursue it vigorously” - SEC Chairman “68 violations made by big banks have been fined by CFTC,” according to Senator Brown. “It’s clear that virtual currencies have brought us to a new age.” In short, Brown said many banks have been fined, SEC / CFTC should continue to fine banks. Cryptocurrency is a new era.”

Arizona Senate Votes to Accept Tax Payments in Bitcoin By DAVID Z. MORRIS February 10, 2018 | Fortune Magazine The Arizona move is a positive signal for Bitcoin. The Arizona Senate on Thursday passed a bill that would allow residents to pay their income taxes using Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies “recognized” by the state’s revenue authorities. The law will next be considered by the state’s House of Representatives. Accepting payment of income taxes in cryptocurrency has profound symbolic and practical significance. Historically, the use of government-issued currencies for the payment of income tax has helped guarantee those currency’s widespread adoption as a payments medium. Skeptics of systems like Bitcoin, which allow quick global payments but are not issued or backed by gov-

ernments, have argued in part that their separation from government revenue structures reduces their inherent usefulness and, in turn, value. HAWK Written By Londa R. Marks | July 2016 In the mid 1980’s Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder and president of Atlantic Records was considering signing popular Hollywood, California glam rock band HAWK to Atlantic Records. Just at that time turmoil within the band began and ultimately everythingdisintegrated due to money issues and personal differences.

HAWK was founded by and sponsored by Londa R. Marks and Doug Marks. HAWK band lineup was Doug Marks (Metal Method guitar instructor, guitarist), Scott Travis (drums, Judas Priest), Lonnie Vencent (bass, BulletBoys & King Kobra), Charles Morrill (vocals). HAWK album included David Fefolt (vocals), Matt Sorum (drums, Guns ‘N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Hollywood Vampires, Motorhead), Dave Tolly & Steve Ayola

Originally mastered at Greg Fulginiti, Artisan Sound Records, Hollywood. The Hawk album was recorded in 1986 as a Doug Marks solo project after the original band dissolved earlier that year. Being signed to Atlantic Records may have been a good thing, but maybe not;

25 years later, a HAWK album is at least still being sold by one of the original HAWK artists, Doug Marks, for $7.50– $18.00 each. If Atlantic Records had signed the band, possibly a lot of money/ fame/artistic validation would have happened with HAWK but also possibly no money would have been made for the artists. In some cases however, selling your own albums can give you control over what you earn..
