make it official- Where to get your license

Make it official

In the province of Alberta, you can get your registration of marriage and marriage license at any registry agent office. Your partner and you must both be in attendance with proper identification. You will be asked multiple questions while you are there such as when and where are you getting married or if you’ve had any previous marriages. It will cost $40, and you must be married within three months of receiving the license. The province of Alberta does not require you to be a resident, but it does require two witnesses at the ceremony. Your officiant will need to send the signed registration of marriage form to Vital Statistics within 48 hours of the ceremony.

Sara + Riley

s a g e b i s t r o , c a n m o r e

Sara and Riley got engaged while on vacation in Vancouver. The pair watched the Brahm’s Tams Drum Circle at sunset, after which Riley proposed. Their wedding day can be best described as retro, bohemian, rustic chic - think bright sunflowers, crocheted lace and big round sunnies. Breeze Photography captured the vintage feel of the entire ceremony, and Twyla, the officiant, put together a memorable sand ceremony that perfectly complemented the vibes of the day.
