Our schools

Rocky Mountain Prep is a network of tuition-free, public charter schools located in Denver and Aurora.

Our mission is for every child to realize their full potential through a rigorous and loving elementary education.

We are currently enrolling Pre-K through 5th-grade scholars.

Choosing the right school for your pre-k or elementary student can feel like a daunting task.

But when we talk to our current families, they share that Rocky Mountain Prep became the clear choice when they met our staff, experienced our culture, and saw how our scholars were growing.

Though we can’t open our physical doors this year to families searching for an exceptional elementary school, we’d love to share what led current families to choose RMP.

Choose a culture of love We anchor in our PEAK values -- Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness -- and scholars celebrate one another and grow through shared values.

Teachers incorporate these values into classroom culture and the whole school celebrates with PEAK parties to recognize scholars living out their values and making our community stronger.

Third- through fifth-grade scholars participate in Circle, a social-emotional curriculum where scholars check-in on emotions, share big life events, and connect on what they value and their lives outside of school.

Learn more about Circle here.

“The education is at a great level and there's also a social-emotional part. My student is learning how to discuss his emotions and what to do with them.

- Debbie, Parent of an RMP Creekside scholar

Choose strong academics Our research-based English Language Arts curriculum focuses on phonics and builds content knowledge and vocabulary so that all students fall in love with reading.

Students receive two sections of math daily to become master problem solvers and critical thinkers.

Every grade level participates in science to set scholars up for a world where Science Technology Education and Mathematics (STEM) are growing fields.

We also offer specials like music, dance, art, and coding because we know that scholars who receive specials do better academically in all subjects.*

*specials vary by campus

“I have a student who is really advanced. It could be easy to let him slide. His teachers are always communicating with things we can also work on at home. I can tell that every single student is cared for and there is so much energy put into academics.

- Jessica, Parent of an RMP Berkeley scholar

Choose extraordinary teachers We know amazing teachers are one of the most important factors in supporting our scholars and our community. Our teachers are recruited from across the country. In fact, we offer teaching positions to less than 10% of all those who apply.

All of our staff participate in weekly professional development to further their craft. We have teaching assistants and additional staff support in the majority of grade levels, which means more individualized support for your scholar.

And just like our students, our staff is evaluated on PEAK values and participates in Circle because we know that when our staff and community is connected and rooted in common values, all of us -- including our students -- thrive.

“It’s a healthy environment for kids to thrive in because the people want to work there and truly care about what they do.”

- Sarah, Parent of an RMP Fletcher scholar

Choose a diverse and supportive community At all of our schools, we create opportunities for connection through monthly conversations with the principal, a family leadership team, and community events such as carnivals, academic nights, and more.

We care deeply about feedback from our families and know that open lines of communication are the key to strengthening our community. As such, we ask for feedback every other week through a three-minute text survey called Possip.

Each school communicates with families regularly through school newsletters and mobile apps, in addition to regular direct communication with your child's teacher.

“I love the diversity [at RMP]. It wasn’t until I went to Festival of Nations that I learned there were students from over 30 countries at the school. My child comes home sometimes and she’ll want to learn how to speak a different language because her classmates do.”

- Enjaneek, Parent of an RMP Creekside scholar
