THE ABRASION ISSUE By Diego Brizzi RH Italy Team
A lightning start, a quick run, a railroad! A short fight ... and the thread is released .. LOST FISH! Bitterly recover the wire and amazement we see our final cut! Many times, far too many we are faced with a similar scene, we analyze all the situations that made me think and opt for terminals extra strong.
Situation A Spring a few years ago after pastoring in the quarry every other day for a little over a month’s time to see if anything moves. Full of adrenaline mount the field and prepare the primers. The post in question several times explored, had a gravelly bottom without obstacles on the bottom.
TERMINAL: shockleader Nylon Leadcore 45 lb, 25 lb terminal
Even at night and get the first start, a cane fell in an area free from obstacles close to an island, a quadruple 14mm boilies had made the right time to get www.rodhutchinson.co.uk
the barrel and begin to recover and I realized that the end had given! Needless to say that the transducer did not report anything relevant ... The night passed with all other departures brought to dry. Then ... one more go! The fish gets stuck (but where?!), I assemble the boat, coming on top of the fish that is released, solicitation and .. the thread is released! Recovery embittered .. I remain dumbfounded, sliced leadcore!
Situation B Lake irrigation with muddy bottom and the presence of some irrelevant mussel. I opt for a drawn faster than a day. Check on site and launch the reeds quickly in spots previously pasturati. TERMINAL Shock leader in Nylon, Leadcore 45 lb, 20 lb terminal, extremely sporty Having regard to the size of the place.
On the day I get three starts, but in one of these history repeats itself: Arrival of the barrel ... but I feel the lead .. of apprima I thought the fish was unhooked, seems then once recovered .. terminal cut!

Situation C
Large lake, long range on all 3 hot spot near a forest flooded. TERMINAL Shock leader in nylon, Leadcore 45 lb, 35 lb terminal Sudden departure: iron, 2 heads of the fish and the tension is released .. recovery and here we go again! The terminal has sold again, rubbing against some obstacle has led to failure. I could sit here and list many other situations where in the past I have had often broken terminals, leadcore or shockleader, all caused by unexpected strong and abrasion .. All these negative events experienced in the past made me think long and hard about the importance of robust terminals and end in the first place. And that’s why today I rely only extremely robust material, not so much as breaking but as yarn quality and diameter.Clean water and underwater obstacles In clear water submerged, as always pissed shockleader at least 15 m of 060 nylon combined with a 45-lb leadcore and a final generally combined (combi rig) 45-lb. In waters with the presence of underwater obstacles the music does not chanwww.rodhutchinson.co.uk
ge, except for the leadcore that ascend to a 60 lb, as well as in the fishing near the obstacles where build even final of 80 lb. How terminals will opt for the bolt rig or frames with stone to lose in the most extreme cases. Of course the choice falls in similar materials not so much for its ability to seal but for their greater resistance to abrasion. And ‘advisable to pay attention to materials which are chosen: not always a high poundage corresponds to an excellent resistance to abrasion. I happened to break due to friction on the bottom also braids of 70 lb, excellent in sealing but somewhat poor abrasion also because of their reduced diameter. The reason for these choices “heavy is due to take account of possible pitfalls in the fund that often elude us, or are not, however, stated by our sounder. Just a simple sharp rock or a sharp mussel to put an end to our struggle! There are situations where we often strive for a long time hunting for a particular fish. After months spent baiting and fish simply can not afford to lose it, do not you?

Experience teaches About three years ago I was fishing in a lake in Austria. Thanks to clear water in the area of hot spots could be seen thousands of sharp debris crushed mussels carp, at that time a shock leader of nylon 25 m of the 060 proved the winning and despite everything, every 1 - 2 fights I had to replace because of the tears that were created by rubbing on a carpet of debris. Luck would have it, given the negative experiences (A, B, C, etc. ..), I addressed it in a rugged approach. All this fortunately allowed me to not miss any fish!
Sportsmanship The use of robust materials that may appear to many, little attentions sports. Often we are told that we must give the fish a chance, on the contrary I find that true sportsmanship in our discipline is in trying to sail the fish as quickly as possible to try to avoid the trauma and stress catching up. A break, in addition to disappointment, may cause great difficulties for fish and in extreme cases even death. It ‘so good to try to bring to zero the chance that the fish will go with a hook in the mouth or even worse, with an entire terminal. Last but of prime importance is the use of secure terminals, fishing in areas with risk of substandard and therefore probable breakage must always keep as first consideration the preservation of fish, with the development of terminals suitable to situations of high risk.
