Flocked Foam Very short pile synthetic fibres which leave virtually no mottled or stippled pattern in the paint film. Gives a mirror-like finish with gloss, satin and clear coats that is superior to all other fabrics.
Foam Synthetic foam designed for use with gloss & satin paints. Foam has the advantages of not shedding any pile and low roller mottle, ensuring a smooth finish. High density foam is trade quality, low density foam is DIY quality.
Simulated Mohair Classic decorator’s glossing fabric. Noted for its durability and shed-free properties, it is a synthetic woven fabric that gives an excellent finish with gloss and satin paints, as well as being suitable for low viscosity woodcare products.
Sheepskin
A traditional decorator’s favourite that gives excellent performance with a wide range of paint types and surfaces, combined with superior durability. The natural wool fibres absorb paint well, giving superb loading and release for an excellent quality of finish. Rodo uses Australian merino wool in its rollers, acknowledged by the textile industry as the world’s finest grade of sheepskin, which is double combed to optimise its performance and consistency.
Microfibre Woven synthetic fibre, specially engineered to give maximum absorbency, that has superior paint loading to all other fabrics. Releases paint evenly to give smooth delivery and a finish superior to other fabrics with no orange peel effect. Microfibre is suitable for the widest range of paint types and this versatility means it can be used for both gloss and emulsion paints as well as woodstains. Polyamide Woven synthetic fabric engineered for ultra toughness. Polyamide is ideal for masonry and other rough surfaces where its superior durability means it will last longer than acrylic rollers. Rodo has ensured that the long pile depths are combined with optimum fabric density to give maximum paint loading right down to the core. Nylon Woven synthetic fabric that has good solvent resistant properties, making it ideal for gloss, satin, woodstains and other solvent-based products including resin and epoxy paints.
Acrylic Woven synthetic fabric with a good blend of performance and cost. Acrylic is a proven performer whose versatility makes it suitable for many surface types, and for these reasons it is the most popular fabric used by tradesmen for emulsion and masonry paints.
Polyester Knitted synthetic fabric with lowest performance compared to other fabrics, but is cost effective. High density polyester is trade grade that gives improved paint loading and finish. Medium density polyester is DIY grade that gives a basic finish quality.
