Wednesday 23 November
Woolly Hat Non Uniform Wednesday
In support of one of the Year 12 CAP partners, Chailey Heritage which is a school that supports young people with complex disabilities, we are taking part in Woolly Hat Wednesday on 23 November. Your daughter may wear her own clothes and a woolly hat/item to school on this day We are asking for a donation of £1 which can be made here. Alternatively, your daughter can bring cash to school or ask for the donation to be added to her bill. All donations will go to Chailey Heritage School.

Teatime Recital at 16:00
The next Teatime Recital will take place on 24 November in the Chapel at 16:00. There will be solos and chamber music items. This event is free but please book tickets at the following link: Tea Time Recital (ticketsolve.com) The list of performers and programme is available here
Friday 25 November
Art Print Exhibition 17:00 18:30
The Art Department invites you to a celebration of print making this Friday 25 November at 17:00 18:30! The department proudly specialises in many forms of printmaking, including etching, lino and screen printing techniques. There will also be work on display from our new photography course which celebrates both digital and traditional dark room techniques. Alongside student work, members of staff from the department will be sharing their work. Please join us for a glass of prosecco and a canape for a fantastic opportunity to view a selection of staff and student work from Years 10 13.

Christmas Netball Camp Opportunity for Years 7 & 8
With netball season fast approaching, now is the time to get some extra practice in! A fun skill filled local Christmas camp has just opened its bookings. It will be held at the University of Sussex on Monday 19 December 09:00 15:00. Please see the booking link below: Netball Christmas Camp
Messages from the PE Department
If your daughter is being taken to or collected from a fixture, we ask that you kindly make the team coach aware at least 24 hours before the match. All team coach names and email addresses can be found on the school website via Roedean Sport. Thank you.
Message from Roedean Parents’ Guild
We would like to say a big thank you to all the very generous parents/guardians and staff who have already sent in their donations for the Christmas Fair If you have not yet donated, there is still time to do so. We would appreciate donations of the following:
Bottle Raffle Any bottles, ideally alcoholic, but also including bottles of Olive Oil, ketchup, vinegar etc. Bottles of alcohol can be dropped with staff in any of the Houses, but cannot be sent in with the girls or on buses. There will be an additional bottle drop off point in school on Friday
18 November There will be a collection box & Parents' Guild Representative outside the Chapel entrance from 18.15 before the start of the Autumn Gala Concert.
Tombola soft cuddly toys, games, toys, accessories, fun stationery, craft sets, jewellery, friendship bracelets, anything the girls might find fun.
Sweet Tombola chocolate bars of any kind, Haribo, fun size multipacks, tins of Heroes, individual bars of chocolate or individually wrapped sweets. (No Nuts please).
Charity Raffle Prizes cinema vouchers, gift tins of chocolate or shortbread, hampers, books signed by the Author, Gift Boxes, Spa vouchers, Artwork.
Gobstopper Cafe homemade or shop bought cakes.
Secondhand Uniform any pre loved Roedean Uniform or Sports kit would be very welcome
** There are Donation Boxes in each of the Houses ready to receive your donations.
Christmas Messages - LAST CHANCE
Deadline 25th November 5pm
Every year the Christmas Fair Programme includes a messages section, just for fun. (This is a great way to 'donate' if you don't have time to bake, sort, or buy any other kind of donation.)
To order a surprise message to your daughter, for a donation, please follow these simple instructions:
1.Create: Write your Christmas message, state your daughter’s name (or a nickname she will recognise), then…
2. Email to: parentsguildroedean@gmail.com (‘Christmas Message’ in the subject line)
3. Donate your chosen amount to: Paypal parentsguildroedean@gmail.com

Why not forward the details to family and friends? They may love the chance to send a heart warming or funny surprise message to your daughter, it can even be in code. The proceeds will go to the girls’ chosen charities.
