Name: Tiger Year: 12 House: Keswick Since arriving at Roedean, Tiger has been a tremendously positive force. Unfailingly community-minded, Tiger was instrumental in ensuring that, by the end of the first day, her tutor group were bonded through private jokes, a WhatsApp group and exploration of shared values. She has very clear ideas about how a boarding community should work and is always seeking to put forward initiatives that will celebrate and share the diverse cultures at Roedean. Tiger is also a fiercely independent young woman; she knows her own mind and has an admirably strong sense of self. Tiger is determined, kind and energetic; a real asset to the school community. I am from the UK, but also live in Dubai. My first impression of Roedean was the location; I loved the view of the ocean. The staff and pupils also seemed very warm. I enjoy maths because of the quality of teaching; My teacher is very nice and is very good at explaining complicated topics so that I understand.
I am in Keswick House and every term we have a themed ball; where we can dress up and mingle with our friends. On a daily basis there are many activities to do around the house that change weekly so you can get different experiences. There are so many options for co- curricular activities that you can do privately or as a group; I often go to the gym, swim, attend lectures and do piano classes My favourite thing is the sunny days at Roedean, because I can walk the vast grounds of the school and can see the ocean or go visit the farm animals.
