State the principle operation of DC motor and DC generator. Identify DC motor starter. Construct torque curve of DC motor. Drawing circuits of face plate starter. Connect DC motor, motor control unit and DC generator. Operate DC motor. Operate DC generator.

COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is designed to equip the students with knowledge in electrical principle operation of DC motor, DC generator, and operation as preparation to the careers as a technician and eventually pursue courses at higher certificate level. The course also covers the principle operation of DC motor and DC generator, DC motor starter and operate DC motor to enable students understand and applied the key concepts and principles of electrical circuit and fault. The course is formulated by taking into consideration the relevant principle operation of DC motor and DC generator, DC motor starter and operate DC motor covered in this course, which are extended further to broaden the students competence in electrical installation and testing.
