Autobiography ShawChen CHEN is from Taichung and trained in department of Industrial Design at Tatung University with a master degree from Institute of Innovation at National Taipei University of Technology. ShawChen wants to be a designer who not only makes things look ‘‘good’’ but also focuses on development, manufacture, and marketing. He believes the only way to present a product is to fully understand the product development. After graduated, he worked as an industrial designer in Zeng Hsing, specializing in consumer appliances design. His attribution varies from market survey to the structure design. In Dassi Design Company, he was responsible for visual design and advertisement editing. With strong passion to bring out the best outcome of the customers, he participated in consumer communication, and customized branding. In the free time, ShawChen kept practicing English after work, thus he earned an 780 on TOEIC in end of 2014. Furthermore, he reads and travels for inspiration. He believes that with an optimistic and positive attitude, he can ace on work and encountering new things every day.

Chung-Shan Smart Kitchen System The project named termed as “Smart Kitchen System” was undertaken by Graph-image & Design Lab in collaboration with computer vision & Medical-Electronic Signal Processing Lab and Chung-Shan Institute Of Science & Technology to create an intelligent kitchen control system. Every part of the system is connected to each other. They create a kitchen centered home. The group together to create a kitchen centered home with smart gas store and systems connected to each other. It blends different technologies to work together in harmony. The main device of system is the big touch screen where you can control everything from there, in addition, it shows variety of food information, from recipes, imaging, and proposes separate manipulation with the different recipes. Our main goal is design the product and interface.

Trolley Backpack VAC Backpack vac is a commercial vacuum used in cinema, plane and other narrow space which require deep cleaning. It is portable and easy to be used even in the height areas. The disadvantage of the backpack vac is its heavy weight (12KG). Various components such as power head make it troublesome to housing and pick up.

Star Capturer The traditional way to observe stars is by using Planisphere which is difficult to the beginners. Professional stars observers need more multiple equipments. Star Capturer is integrated with satellite positioning technology and power laser light. Therefore, Star Capturer is able to solve the troublesome equipments setting problems during observing stars. In order to pursue a better experience for the users, Star Capturer is equipped with intuitive operation and designed for the outdoor actives. Hence, observing stars is convenient and simple, user can enjoy the happiness while exploring the infinite universe.
Operation 1. To settle: Pull up the lag, adjust the gradienter. 2. To locate: Turn on the touch screen, key in the time, and choose the star signs. 3. To modulate: Rotate the handle, aim to the star, and push the locate button.

It provides the original and abundant hot spring resources into the heart of Yi-Lan city.There is high altitude rotational water slide that locates on the height of fifth floor. Guests may enjoy the pleasant sensation of speed.
This project is combined with the interaction technology which structures a Real-Time Image recording to the system and an image sharing center. This project wants to share the widely acclaimed water part in the cloud˙

Treasure Businessmen require to handle important documents, including business information and personal photos. Notebooks, cellphones and USB flash drives are therefore easily to be stolen. While information can be transmitted fast and easily, it may be stolen or is lost unexpectedly. Loosing data is equal to loosing financial cost. How to keep the suitable distance with others and protect our personal data are problems we want to solve. Treasure, applying RFID technology, is a great helper to protect personal data. Be installed with RFID sofeware, the computer becomes the RFID reader. As the result, computer can read the signal emitted from the tag in the ring. The distance to read the signal is in one meter. For above, only when the reader accepts the signal can the computer be used. When the reader can not reach any signal, the computer will be locked automatically. Then, it can protect personal information safely.

Genie in water This project is designed for the pump of the aquarium. The pump’s style is based on the fishing cork. It is similar to the genie floating in the water. Genie in Water pumps the air into the water and increase oxygen. Air enters into the pump through the air hole on the top. Then, air cell in the middle. Finally, air comes out on the button. The power is supplied by the 9V battery, switched by rotating the pump body. User can adjust the length to fix in the kind of aquarium. Unlike the traditional pump in the aquarium, Genie in Water’s form is according to the fishing cork; also, the streamline makes the pump livelier. On the whole, Genie in Water makes the aquarium more abundant and breezy.

Sedimentary Rock
As time goes by, the sedimentary rocks on the mountain fill the river. Those rocks areas shaped as they are rubbed smoothly by the river’s flow. The audio’s form is based on the shape of the sedimentary rock. User can operate the audio players and rotate the buttons to control volume and menu. Similarly, operating sedimentary rocks can rotate the top rock to adjust the volume. In addition, the top rock is portable so the user can use it as walkman. Therefore, user can enjoy the music with seamless operation.

As a result, children easily drag umbrellas when taking umbrellas Wheel umbrella is a design which places wheels under the umbrella. It makes children more convenience and easier when taking umbrellas. Besides, there is a stamp of a smiling face on the wheel. It leaves images of smiling faces when the umbrella is dragged through the road. Children can moisten the sough or the water on the road to leave some smiling faces on the pavement. The stamps left on the rood can not only give the children but also the passengers delights. Therefore, with a wheel umbrella in hand, going out in a rainy day is no longer an annoyance. Apart from giving children joy, this product is designed to give positive feedback. It gives the users a surge of happiness from the innermost feelings.

Chess Medicine Box The elder take medicines regularly in a long term. We find that this is a real burden for the elder. It is also a pressure mentally and essentially. There are all kinds of medicine box which clearly indicate the time to take medicine regularly on the market. However, there are too much information and too small sizes of words on the box. It is a pressure for the elders to read them. For a long term medicine-relying patient, taking medicine is a painful experience.In order to decrease the patient’s pressure, this medicine box is designed as a Chinese chess shape. Step by step, you can follow the character of the chess piece when taking medicine. Fight with the disease by using the medicine box. When you finish this step, you checkmate the treatment as well.

There's no reason, then, why we cannot consort, When together we can build so much rapport.
Do you feel tired of the same decoration at home? We hope that when we turn on the light when we go back home, we can also change the atmosphere and the brightness to refresh the house. This product helps people integrate with the environment, and also increases the interaction between its user and environment. Not only does it change the atmosphere, but it also creates the new style of living. By the rolling of the curtain, the pattern on the curtain can reflect the water’s wave on the floor by light. We use the story “flyer and fish” as the present method, to lead us into the imaginative world by the floating of light.

New Direction Your bicycles have to be locked. The solution is to lock your bikes with solid closed circles. There are lots of types of closed circles can be seem in daily life, such as, the gates to prohibit vehicles from entering and the electric poles on the streets, which are all included. The waste steering wheels, which are solid circles, but no longer have the capability of control; by reusing the waste wheels brings up a whole new direction of ecofriendly perspective. Wheels can be locked on walls and handrails, which will be installed into selected corners in the campus.They will be set up as single or multiple forms to adapt to all environment conditions.Bike stands will be placed in every corner of the campus to save your time. To analysis and track the bicycle stands usage, it shows that the issues of inconvenience and disorder since bikes and scooters are mixed up when placing. Hence, creating a more efficiency and aesthetic bicycle placing space can bring up a more design perspective feeling to NTUT.

Concrete is commonly used in the construction engineering. It plays an important role in daily life. Observing the surface of the concrete, you can find its pure beauty and variable texture. This work takes concrete as the leading role to change the atmosphere of the space. It is decorated with dead wood and plant. The concrete becomes the magic to furnish the space and candlesticks. The top mold is made by PET Bottles, milk cans or other containers; therefore, the creation is from the daily life.

The design concept of the Golden Tea Infuser came from the shape of the gold nuggets and pickaxe. In the past age of gold mining, the people, mineworkers, lived a life shifted between a hard mining-work and a great wealth. Time goes day by day and circulate time by time, from zero to something, and vice versa. The surface of the clock is made of one layer flexible cloth, the surface of the clock shows up the shape of numbers from the flexible cloth. The different convex level of numbers are presented by the time. 12:00am

11:30am 隨著時間的循環，我們的生活也是一直不斷的循環，不斷的重覆復甦的動作，這是一個很自然的現象，不需要外 在因素的催促、施壓。這是一個心態，一日之初時，人們腦中所思考的時間是向前延伸的，例如，等等要做些什麼， 我該用中午的時間來做些什麼事，腦中所思考的時間是向前增加的。到了晚上，我們思考時間的方式有了改變， 時間開始漸漸減少流逝，例如，下班了早點回家吧，讀完這本書就去睡覺。腦中的時間由增加轉變為減少，當人 們開始思考到，明天來做些什麼吧，此時，時間就循環了。
