GREEN CONSCIENCE Decowood sources wood from only well-managed reserves and does not harm nature and ecological balance in any way.
WOOD FOR PL ANET KEEPING THE EARTH GREEN -
Greenlam Industries Limited is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified which promotes and monitors responsible management of the world’s forests. Decowood sources its wood ethically whilst earning FSC credits. The FSC certification ensures that the sourced wood is of known origin and hasn’t been harvested in an unacceptable way.
-
Decowood emits only recyclable waste which ensures a low carbon footprint and negligible emissions. The goodness of nature is brought to you without disturbing nature itself.
04
WOOD FOR PEOPLE KEEPING THE PEOPLE SAFE -
Decowood uses water-based glues which is devoid of Volatile Organic Compounds or VOCs. These can cause harmful emissions and can damage our health. This is how Decowood ensures a clean and healthy indoor air quality.
-
Nature is good for us. Being around nature leads to lower stress levels and more positivity. Decowood brings the wonder of nature to your home and lets the beauty of wood enrich your life.
-
Did you know that cutting of trees can help save the environment? We know that trees are good for our environment because they replenish the oxygen in our atmosphere. However, this isn’t always true. As trees begin to wilt and decay, they start to release CO2 into the atmosphere. This greenhouse gas is toxic for our environment and is one of the key causes of global warming. To monitor the CO2 emissions, Decowood takes great care in ensuring that the trees are harvested as they mature and before they start to decay. This not only reduces the carbon emissions into the environment, but also ensures that the wood harvested is of utmost quality.
05
ART OF CR AF TING
SEAMLESS PATTERNS PEELING First step towards creating veneers which seem mesmerizing to the eyes, is by selecting the best in wood. The finest logs sourced by Decowood are sliced with precision and processed into superior quality thin veneer flitches as per the required dimensions.
DYEING The next step in the creation of our striking veneers is immersing these high-quality sheets in soluble organic dyes to enhance every hue of the wood. This process is free of chromium and other heavy metals, ensuring clean and healthy indoor air quality.
3
COMPOSITION This is Decowood’s most exclusive step towards creating breath-taking Engineered Veneers displaying an array of designs and hues. Every veneer is tailored as per the requirement and each dyed sheet is mixed and overlapped (with all fibres in the same direction) for pressing to create a seamless pattern on each veneer.
4
BONDING The composed veneers are then sent to a bonding machine to produce stunning and unique patterns. Decowood uses water-based glues which are devoid of VOCs. Each design stands out depending on the colour of the glues used in the machine.
06
PRESSING
5
Bonded sheets are sent for pressing to further beautify each pattern. Our exquisite templates define flame finish and/or briar patterns. First, by cold pressing to flatten out the veneers, followed by hot pressing to end the glue reaction. After pressing, a compact cube is obtained.
SQUARING AND SHEERING
6
Excellence is our forte and we never compromise on that. It is this process that encompasses the highest level of rigor by Decowood’s master craftsmen. Every log is befittingly squared off and refined for sheering to produce thin slices of veneers to elevate the look and feel of each veneer.
7
SHEETING Taking us one step closer towards completing our final masterpiece, is the sheeting process. To create premium sheets of veneers, the thin slices of veneers are further processed and pasted on ply to achieve a high character product.
8
QUALITY CONTROL For Decowood, delivering quality is a habit, not an act. Our word-class veneers are achieved after going through multiple rigorous quality checks. Starting from species, type, thickness, moisture content, to the type of core material and construction methods. And if necessary, repaired by skilled craftsmen to give highest quality veneers.
07
VARIANTS The Veneered Laminates Veneer Laminates are produced by pressing veneers on special kraft paper. These veneers can be bent into a curve of 8cm radius and can be rolled and glued onto any shape of furniture. Furthermore, this awe-inspiring collection is unrivalled for its exceptional texture and exquisite quality.

PRE-POLISHED VENEERS A master creation comes to life only by meticulous detailing and precision. To bring out the characteristic beauty of veneer, it is necessary to protect wood surfaces with high-quality wood polishes. For exceptional and ageless spaces, Decowood recommends installing superior quality factory polished veneers.
Benefits of using Pre-Polished Veneers -
Our dexterous solution not only enhances the appearance of the surfaces, but also helps in achieving shorter project timelines without any hassle of onsite carpentry.
-
The enhanced design aesthetics can be achieved through our highly cost-effective solutions that saves the trouble of multiple onsite polishing processes.
-
Using necessary know-how and top-quality equipment, Decowood assures superior quality, durability, and longevity of wood veneers.
Type of Finishes Gloss Finish - Highlights the wood grains to make a bold and shiny statement. Matte finish - An understated luxurious, yet timeless look.
Easy steps to polish veneers Cleaning
1
Decowood begins the polishing process with cleaning of the unfinished veneers. To begin with, a dampen cotton or microfiber cloth is wrung out to remove extra water. Wood veneers are then meticulously wiped in the direction of wood grain to remove any light dust, debris, or residue. To finish off, the veneers are wiped with dry cotton or microfiber cloth. Sanding
2
To attain a smooth and soft to touch surface of the veneer, Decowood uses high-quality sand paper. Sanding on the veneer surface is done with light pressure to ensure the grains do not get removed. Wood fillers are used to further smoothen the surface, layer by layer, till the characteristic smooth surface is achieved. Coating
3
The last step to achieve the unforgettable finish is coating the veneer to enhance its sheen by using: Epoxy – A highly durable coating that resists normal wear and dries quickly. It helps in absorbing the oil content in wood and stops it from reaching the top coat. Base Coat (Sealer) – It has excellent sheen retention and is less yellowing as compared to the usual coatings. It has high resistance to scratches, stains, and heat. Top Coat – The final coat on the veneer, as per the required type of finish. We can either apply gloss for a shiny surface or matte for a subtle surface. 10
