THE LITURGICAL INTERIOR DESIGNER’S ROLE

An often-overlooked, yet mission-critical, person in church design and renewal is the Liturgical interior Designer. They are the subject matter experts when it comes to delivering a holistic and visually pleasing worship environment that will inspire the masses. These professionals provide invaluable support services to our Liturgical consultants in the key areas of colors, finishes, liturgical furnishings and sacred art.

A Liturgical Interior Designer’s scope of work includes, but is not limited to, paint and finishes for church interiors, architectural details, furniture, flooring, sacred art refurbishment and design, functional aesthetic resources such as lighting and acoustical fixtures, and so much more. Rolf leads teams of handpicked artists, artisans and painters, along with parish leaders and committees, to deliver the full gamut of sample work specific to each project, highlighting color schemes and decoration through architectural details, flooring, furniture, murals, faux finishes, gold leaf and more. His work ensures that liturgical artwork and appointments, furnishings, and environments are correct and in harmony to fulfill each parish’s unique traditions and in alignment with leadership’s vision. He is a master at finishing new interiors and awakening the beauty of older environments hidden under years of dirt and dust to create awe-inspiring sacred spaces that rightfully place the liturgy and sacred art as the central focus. Rohn & Associates Design, Inc. also has a graphic design department to help you and your parishioners envision the finished project through beautifully rendered artistic visions. When possible, we also try to incorporate local talent, which makes a project even more unique and meaningful.
