museums are known to be iconic. From guggenheim museum to Louvre museum, one can easily recognize their shape by even looking at their silhouette. But what if museum stops being and icon and become a set of experiences through four openings disguised in a pure white walls? Museum with no face, lets you experience different urban moments. It interacts with you and makes you experience something more than just a simple visit to an ordinary museum.

In this project the main issue was how to bring the high tech university campus together with the tradittional culture of the eastern African society. Looking for an answer to this question, we realized that the answer to this question is quite obvious. The answer is IPhone!IPhone is where culture and high technology intersect. Everyone’s IPhone looks the same but at the same time it’s unique and shows the identity of the owner through the set of applications downloaded on its interface. This university campus is an IPhone with different applications available to pick from and start designing the university basedon emergence idea. In this university there is always room to design new apps and expand the campus as time goes by.

The most important issue in south Africa, when it comes to designing is considering the problem of lack of security. In this project the battle was not only try to provide security for both the students and the faculty, but also not necessarily fence around the border.

Site Plan

20 | 66

Our soloution to this problem was to create open green spaces and housing areas close to the border to ensure security. Also this green spaces on the border are a great way to welcome animals to the campus which was the other most important issue to deal with in this project.

Instead of designing a building mass, we decided to design apps, similar to Iphone. Each app has its own identity and function. The designed apps for the school of education are as drawn above. According to the required program, by attaching these apps together, the school comes to existence.

In this residental complex, the main issue was to design for the young people who work and live in downtown Columbus. In this case, the idea was to provide these young people with micro units and give them a unique experience by putting these micro units up in the air. The complex also has some family houses on the ground level as well as a Grocery, Retail spaces and offices.

Music industry has shown a great improvement during the past decade in Iran; therefore new fresh spaces are needed for these musicians to be able to produce music more professionally and creatively. Headphone recording studio and music club is a complex designed to gather musicians together. Headphone is where music is born, raised and listened. Headphone is a place to gather, enjoy and make new memories with the advantage of meeting young musicians and artists. Headphone is where headphone guys meet and now can share their music. Headphone is the new music generation...

The site is located on Enghelab street, Tehran’s artistic , cultural and educational heart. Enghelab street has a compact skyline, therefore designing a landscape urban space would be sufficent and it would also be a pausing place for the massive people who pass by.

One of the most important items in designing a recording studio is the acoustic design of it. If a studio is not acousticly well-designed, the recording studio can easily become disfunctional. Here is a draft of the basic details that has to be considered during designing the studio.

The Headphone Recording Studio consists of three music recording studios. One major studio and two minor ones. The major studio which is located on the first floor is 405 square meters and is designed for an orchestra to be able to record its music efficiently. The minor studios on the other hand are designed to mostly serve music students and local bands to produce their music.

BY importing the path of the river nearby to the site and dividing the river path into four major parts, four vertical public gardens and a central public space were created for the residents to enjoy. The housing complex is designed in ten buildings. Eight of them are linked together two by two with a staircase and an elevator and the other two buildings are accessible with individual bridges for every apartment. There is only one apartment in every floor of the separate buildings giving each apartment a sense of more privacy. Every apartment has its own balcony and the façades are covered with movable wooden louvers giving the residence the freedom to change their apartment’s façade randomly.
