There is nothing like an ocassion so enjoying than this sacred bithday of our Saviour, Christmas. Christmas as we all know is ideally healthy for rebuilding and you are guaranteed to do some makeovers in your homes. When I was a kid, in our neighbourhood, we used to be sharing our prepared foods among ourselves. This really united us and increased enjoyment during the Christmas. Even if you don’t have food or money during the period, you need not to worry so much because love and kindness will reach your home from other neighbours. What am I whispering? Let’s celebrate this festive with love and kindness. Let’s share and freely give from our hearts to those who do not have and even extend it to those who have. Be a true celebrant of this Christmas. Enjoy and surprise everyone with love and gifts. Merry Christmas to y’all.

Centre of Attraction LAYING A PERFECT TABLE
1
Extend Your Table Work out if you need to fit your guests on to one table, and if so look for ways to create an extension with a picnic or garden table of similar height at one end. Use a long cloth to cover them both. Buy extra chairs or bring in garden chairs to use. If space is really tight. Benches are a good option.
2
Consider Your Location If you need an extended table and your dining room or kitchen isn’t big enough, move it into another room. Such as the living room or a long hallway, which might be a better place for your meal.
Think About The Kids Do you want the whole family at one table or will you move the youngsters on to their own? It’s lovely to have all the generations together, but if you’re really pushed for space, consider a separate kids’ table. Make it special by decorating it -you could opt for a children’s theme or make it a smaller version of the main table. Organise Comfy Seating Christmas lunch can be a lengthy affair, so seat your guests in comfort. Don’t forget to add cushions to hard seats. Make sure you can fit all your guests comfortably by laying out dinner plates

LAYING A PERFECT TABLE
PREPARE ENOUGH TO MAKE IT BIG
Wrap it up with the right kit GIFTWRAP & BOXES. For a coordinated look, choose a main patterned wrapping paper and a couple of plain papers In complimentary colours. Stock up on tissue paper and bubble wrap, too, for delicate gifts and boxes for awkwardly shaped ones. SCISSORS AND STICKY TAPE. If there’s more than one of you wrapping, have a couple of pairs of scissors to hand. For a lovely zigzag effect, use pinking shears. A wristmounted sticky-tape dispenser will keep even disorganized wrappers on track.
TAGS. Many giftwrap rolls come with tags in the same design, while plain gold and silver go with most giftwraps. Brown or white luggage labels can be embellished however you like, using buttons, glitter, bows or old pictures

Choose Your Style Think about how you’d like your Christmas table to look. From a white and silver winter wonderland to a traditional feel complete with lavish foliage, go for something that suits your vision of a perfect spread. Pick Decorations Christmas is about going all out. So make dressing your table part of tile fun. Display some of your favourite tree decorations in bowls or on a cake stand, and choose candles, napkins and a tablecloth to complement the theme. Extra touches, such as table confetti or scatter stars, add a luxurious feel. Don’t forget the backs of chairs as a place to add extra decoration. An equal distance apart and checking that there’s enough elbowroom and space on the table for glasses. Sort Out The Seating Plan Where you want your guests to sit is something you should plan in advance. If you’ve got a lot of people around a large table. It can be fun to switch places after the main course to give each person the chance to talk to someone different.
A second, a minute, an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year’s worth of happiness is what I wish for you as we move into greener pastures on this glorious day. Leaving all our worries behind and having a clear mind and hope for the future. Merry Christmas. —Freda Lartey 7th grade PIC. DIR/ED | ROLBRUCKY PHOTOGRAPHY | ROLSTUDIO [BEN]

Beaded Snowflake Ornament
Christmas Carol Ornament
The light will dance on these wintertime snowflakes, made from a variety of crystal-like beads.
Use Christmas carol sheet music to create a lovely ball ornament perfect for music lovers. These ornaments will encourage friends and family to burst into song ▪
What You Need: üü10 corsage pins with pearl ends (available in fabric and craft stores) üüCrystal-like beads in desired shapes and sizes üü1 small cork üüIridescent white glitter paint pen (usually used for fabric, available in craft and discount stores) üüMonofilament thread It’s easy to make a blizzard’s worth of these sparkling snowflakes. Instructions: 1. Add beads to 4 pins. Place beads on 1 corsage pin in desired order, leaving the last 1/4 inch without beads. Make 3 more beaded pins using the same arrangement. 2. Make another set of 4 beaded pins, using a different arrangement. Make an additional set of 2 beaded pins. (You should have a total of 10 beaded pins.) 3. Add 4 matching pins to cork. Cut the cork, if necessary, so it is about 1/4 inch long. With the round side of the cork laying on the work surface, poke one beaded pin into the cork (close to work surface) like a spoke of a wheel. Place a matching beaded pin opposite the first. Place the remaining two opposite each other, between the first set. 4. Add remaining pins. Using the remaining set of 4 matching pins, poke each into the cork, slightly closer to the top of the cork and alternating with the first set of four. Place the remaining 2 beaded pins into each round end of the cork. 5. Cover the cork using glitter paint pen. Allow to dry. Apply a second coat, if necessary, and let dry. 6. To hang, cut a desired length of monofilament and tie to one spoke of the snowflake.
Materials üüChristmas carol sheet music or photocopy üüArtificial berry or holly pick üüDecoupage medium üüWhite/iridescent glitter üüSilver jingle bells, 1”, two üüSheer white/iridescent ribbon, 1/2” x 1/3 yd. üüSilver cording
üüPencil üüRuler üüWooden skewer üüWide, soft paintbrush üüWater basin üüPaper towels üüScissors üüLow-temp glue gun and glue sticks üüThick, white craft glue

Follow manufacturer’s instructions to apply decoupage medium to small area of ball and to back of one paper square. Smooth paper onto ball; if paper won’t lay flat, cut tiny slits into paper edges and press to ball. Cover entire ball in same way, overlapping paper edges. 3. Trim music title as desired and glue to ball in visible location; place skewer in heavy glass or jar to dry. Apply generous coat of decoupage medium to entire ball; while wet, sprinkle with glitter. Let dry. Remove skewer. 4. Cut 8” length from cording; knot ends for hanging loop. Use skewer tip to make small hole in center top of ornament. Apply glue to cording knot and use skewer to push knot into hole. Tie ribbon bow and glue to base of hanger. 5. Cut two 6” lengths from cording and tie a jingle bell to one end of each length. Laying a Perfect Table
9 8
Create A Centrepiece Make your table feel even more special with a larger decoration in the centre, whether it’s a floral arrangement or a more modern alternative. However, make sure it’s not so big that people can’t see each other across the table and don’t forget you’ll still need to fit all the plates and serving dishes on the table, too.
From prince Boateng to Christiana boating You are the sun of my soul. From Jemima, Merry Christmas to the best mum in the world, Mrs. Emma Van-Tagoe. Looking forward to a prosperous new year.
25.12 | A SEASON OF LOVE AND KINDNESS WITH STYLE
10
Lay The Table Place cutlery e1ther side of each plate in the order you’ll be using it, buffing each piece with a lint-free tea towel to remove any smudges or fingerprints. Arrange the glasses you are using, such as a Champagne flute, a wine glass and a water tumbler, above the knife tips on the right-hand side of each place setting. Don’t forget to include enough serving spoons. Get The Lighting Right Think about how you’re going to achieve the right atmosphere by looking at the room’s lighting. Dinner by candlelight can be a cosy option, but guests might not be able to see their food adequately, so place a few table or floor lamps around tile room if needed. Keep matches to hand for lighting the candles and check that decorations or foliage aren’t positioned too close to lit flames.

A Moment Of Hope & Better Future IMPORTANCE OF XMAS [ BY PASTOR PETER BRUCE ]
Christmas is about Jesus Christ, His birth. In Christmas, the most important thing every celebrant should note is not the finished product or only receiving (the day and its happiness, food, new clothes, presents etc.), But on the ONE that brought the holiday. And it’s all about Jesus Christ whom the shepherds searched for and this news. Think of His Love and good thoughts for us all.
In such a time, the most important thing every celebrant should think of or consider most is to keep all things about Jesus Christ in mind, ponder them in heart because… üü Nothing can be done by anyone in life without Jesus Christ (the word). üü Jesus is the way to everything one will need in life [Jn 14:6]. One can only appreciate such a day of Jesus Christ, Christmas if only he/she knows the gap that was between him/her Creator the (source of life) [Gen. 3:2324, Is. 59:1-16, 2Cor. 5:19a]
üü God coming to live again in man (Emmanuel) üü Christmas day reminds us of God giving mankind the second chance. [Jn. 1:12, 3:16,17] üü God’s preparing a lamb for man as a sacrifice, which is the only one he will and can accept man again. [Jn. 1:29, Gen. 3:21, Heb. 9:22] üü A moment that one should see the God Almighty, The Savior, the Lord of Lords in that baby Jesus Christ, like the wise men from the east. DO IT AMICABLY
Christmas is not just about having too much alcohol to hangover or next to the bedroom for sex. Let us make this year’s christmas a period to merry with joy, reunite, share and have thorough thoughts on how bright the future is for you and your partner. Have a special moment to reflect on what has happened within the year and tell yourselves; let the past be past and focus on the next year. With that in mind, you will easily trash out issues and come to an agreement which will always strengthen your relationship.
Make sure to reflect on what has happened and focus on the next year by sharing

An Ocassion to reunite and share with... Christmas is a special period I will say; to help bring families and love ones together. It is a period that triggers the good spirit in us to show an apprciation in one way or the other to someone precious or anyone. Christmas as we know to be the birth of our Saviour, signifies and will continue to be an antidote to anger, pain, etc. This is love, reunion and sharing. Show your love to your family [from kids to the very old] by offering them a gift that will be a piece for them to remember and just watch the change in attitude for the next year. TRY THIS; PLAN AHEAD BY SETTING OUT A DAY OR TWO TO SHOP GIFTS FOR YOUR FAMILY. LET’S GO THROUGH SOME GIFTS FOR YOUR KIDS, MAN AND WOMAN
FOR KIDS It’s no secret that kids like to have fun. This is also the age where most people are the most active so whatever you get your child make sure it is something they will

enjoy. Christmas gifts are probably more important to kids than anyone else, which is why it is always appropriate to go all out when it comes to a kids gift. You probably have an idea of what the
particular kid enjoys to do. Whether they like to play video games, watch movies, ride toy motorcycles or anything else, the Christmas gift you choose should be something they will like. Kids can be very sensitive, so make sure that you don’t get the kid something that they will not like, because it could backfire. Put a little thought into it, ask the kid or parent subtly and you should be able to make an educated choice on what gift to choose.

How to have a fashionable Christmas The festive season is a time to celebrate, make merry, and share goodwill with friends, family and the community at large. If you’re anything like me, what you wear on the outside depicts your mood some of the time but other times helps to change your mood. To be in the celebratory mood during Christmas I recommend you go bold, and have fun with fashion Christmas fashion in many countries around the world is closely linked to occasions. What to wear to that end of year office party? How about a Christmas themed party? Oh, and what if you met a cute potential significant other during this season?
PAGE36
Here are ten tips from MAKSI, a Ghanaian based fashion label with Pan African dreams that aims to deliver ‘fab, fresh and funky’ clothing to the global world. üüHave fun with your fashion. Try on a dramatic fascinator. Pile on loads of jewelry. Carry a bold bag.

üüDo you have an irresistibly toned stomach? I say flaunt it if you want to. And even if you don’t, flaunt it if you can get away with it. The advent of inspirational curvy bloggers have shown the rest of us regular folks with * ahem* lumps and bumps in more places that we
[DECEMBER 2013]
would like that instead of baring our stomachs we can rock a high waisted skirt (instead of one riding low on our hips), with a boob top. üüRemember the key is to be comfortable in what you wear so if you don’t feel comfortable baring skin then please don’t. üüDress up for occasions, or dress up just to lift your spirits. It’s Christmas time. Wear something fun whilst putting finishing touches to your Christmas tree if you wish.

How to have a fashionable Christmas üüDon’t forget the little touches that make an outfit special. A cute ring. Brightly coloured nails. A hairstyle that makes you feel good.
SOME DO’S FOR THIS HOLIDAY A simple white or black dress will go everywhere with you this holiday season. Accessorize with gold, silver or a tinge of green and red; and you’re ready to go. Light weight dresses like cotton and chiffon is great when you’re in the holiday season, especially with the summer-like whether during this time of the year. Spice it up with a floppy hat, bangles, from the local market, gladiators or black sandals in you’re ready to go. A simple color coordination can do the trick, turning a simple outfit into a fabulous one. Be sure to match your shoes, bag, and belt all the time. It’s a fashion statement!! Remember it’s Christmas season, don’t be afraid to rock the bright colors.
PAGE38
And what better way to do this than with our very own African print fabrics. With the print heavily in style, they are your friend this season. Make-up is always important in a woman’s life. Try and match your eyes with your outfit in some way. Be sure to stick to soft colors that sit well on your skin. It’s the new season, try a new hair style that fits you. Do wear lasting perfume,as a woman this is a plus. You may have to spend more, but it gives you that extra ability to stand out in all of the right ways. Shoes are important, the right shoes for the occasion makes all the difference. Remember leopard is the new neutral, so fill free to rock the leopard print hills and loafers.

üüMen you know we are speaking to you too right? No boring suits for you this time round. Try a kaftan in a standout colour. Go bold with your accessories, and * ahem * yes, if you want to show off your chiseled chest we promise not to complain. üüMix and mash it all up. Throw out the rules. Want to wear a floppy hat at nighttime? Do you üüFancy dressing up for a bike ride with your partner? Yep you guessed right. Do so in style üüCan’t decide which shoes to wear? Well we can’t help you with that.

IMPORTANCE OF SIMILAR STYLE GARMENTS Most men often overlook the importance of buying similar styles. Men should buy garments that can easily be mixed and matched with alreadyowned clothes. Once again, it will give the effect of a broader wardrobe. Abide by classic cuts and colors, that way an eccentric piece of clothing can blend in with most of your available wardrobe.

Social media/rules some
Best practices how to be savvy (and safe) on social media Most social-media apps are location-enabled, so be smart about what personal details you divulge. If you’re traveling alone or are uncomfortable revealing your physical location, consider updating your social media channels only after you’ve left a restaurant or checked out of your hotel. Being “social” is fun, but you should always feel safe. Pay attention to your surroundings—walking while texting is never a good idea. If you plan to stay connected when you travel, make sure your smartphone battery can handle all your tweeting, check-ins, photography and videos—and leave enough juice to call a cab or map your way back to the hotel. Turn down the volume. The din on social media can reach a roar if you don’t take control of it. Creating lists on Twitter will help you sort through the noise and keep up-to-date on a destination. After following someone on Twitter, click the “person” icon and choose “add or remove from list.” create a list for your trip by following local restaurants, hotels, tourism boards and chambers of commerce, newspapers and magazines, and travel and food bloggers.
Channel your inner Boy scout: Be prepared. Facebook and Twitter are often the first places to break news of flight delays and disruptions.
look for mass-transportation Twitter feeds and those of local governments—both city and country—which often tweet updates on road conditions, flood warnings, safety and airport delays.
Pay it forward.. Crowdsourcing relies on good travel karma. Rack it up by leaving travel tips or reviews after you’ve stayed at a hotel, experienced a much-hyped venue or stumbled on something new. Tell others what you thought, and if you would recommend it. Whether it’s the view from your hotel room or that amazing meal you still dream about, your smartphone photos can also do much of the talking. And as I review my Pinterest board, Instagram photos and other digital mementos Find interesting Twitter feeds by browsing the options under “Who to Follow.” When viewing profiles, scan their lists, which classify their feeds into topics. you can subscribe to a list to see updates from all its members without having to follow each. on pinterest, log in with your Facebook or Twitter account and import your contacts to start following their boards. like Twitter, Instagram also uses a hashtag system to categorize its photos, making it easy to find users with similar interests.
Get with the program. Many hotel groups offer special rewards to Facebook and Twitter followers. But if you follow their loyalty-club accounts, you can receive even more freebies.
TRASLATION APP Most Comprehensive Google Translate (free; Android, iOS) In addition to having 64 languages for typed and spoken translations, Google Translate is particularly savvy when it comes to brand names. The data dependent app offers the best results, but Android users can get exclusive language packs that cover the basics and can be used offline.
Best for international travel Jibbigo Translator Currently, it offers easyto-use typed translations for 20-plus languages and spoken translations for 13; more are being rolled out soon. Especially useful are its customizable glossaries, which let you add terms you know you’ll need ahead of time.
