Graduates of Rollins’ Master of Arts in Teaching program are prepared to implement cutting-edge technology, research-based instructional strategies, and equity and inclusion best practices in their classrooms.
The MAT program offers two tracks—elementary and secondary education—with fieldwork options in our backyard and around the globe. Our elementary education track for grades K-6 is a state-approved program that prepares you to earn your Florida Professional Teaching Certificate with both ESOL and Reading endorsements. Rollins’ secondary education track provides the necessary coursework for a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate to teach at the middle- or high-school level.
At Rollins, you’ll learn from expert faculty in a personalized learning environment that’s designed to maximize engagement and support. Our small, in-person classes are conveniently offered in the evenings, and our part- and full-time tracks allow you to earn your degree at your own pace. By the completion of your training, you’ll be well prepared to lead your own classroom and help create the leaders of tomorrow.

Since graduating from Rollins, I helped the Read2Succeed Foundation for Orange County Public Schools improve the reading level of first- and second-graders. I also created my own project through Instagram to create content and help Spanish-speaking families navigate the distance-learning process. That initiative opened opportunities to share my experience in local media outlets and gain my current teaching position.
