Month of April
We have a few things for April. We know Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and even grandparent’s day. But we also have Siblings Day.
Siblings Day is a new thing. It started in US and Canada (celebrated 10 April) by Claudia Evart to honour the memory of her brother and sister, who died at early ages. It also got to Europe where it is celebrated 31 May. It also has an equivalent in the Hindu celebration of Raksha Bandhan (Sisters tie a string around the wrist of their brothers).

It was started in 1997 in the US and in 2014 in Europe, so it is one of the newest ‘celebrations’.
Wiki: “Examples of commemoration during this observance include giving your sibling a gift (including a surprise gift), a giftcard, and taking one out for dinner.
Non-material examples of observances during this day includes giving hugs to your sibling(s), enjoying time with them, honouring their presence in your life, and greeting them on various social media platforms using childhood photos.

Old Permic Script. This is something completely different! We know Cyrillic alphabet – Russian. However, Permic is “a “highly idiosyncratic adaptation” of the Cyrillic script once used to write medieval Komi (Permic).
The script was introduced by a Russian missionary, Stepan Khrap, also known as Saint Stephen of Perm in 1372. The script derived from Cyrillic and Greek, with Komi “Tamga” signs, the latter being similar in the appearance to runes or siglas poveiras because they were created by incisions rather than by usual writing.
The inclusion of the latter aided the script to greater acceptance among the medieval Permic speakers of the time.
The script was in use until the 17th century, when it was superseded by the Cyrillic script. Abur was also used as cryptographic writing for the Russian language.
April 26, which is the feast day of Stephen of Perm, is celebrated as Old Permic Alphabet Day

Permic allowed the very old languages to be written by having an alphabet and a method. That is why it is significant.
