Christmas lunch - Tradition!

Why must it always bee the same? Turkey, beetroot, rice and all the other things. (sources: a lot of websites!)

It need not be like that! We can do so much more – different at least!

Here is a novel idea: meat-less Christmas! No turkey, beef, lamb, pork or anything like that. Welcome to the:

There are now so many other things to do, so we have put a menu together. It is easy to do and tasty. Better than the turkey – trust me!

Starters: we need a nice starter: Salt-baked root vegetables with labneh Cooking with salt in this way ensures that the vegetables are cooked evenly and gently, and will yield a beautifully soft texture once cooked. The

Main course: we know beef wellington? OK, here is a twist: Mushroom wellington. You want 3 to 4 large portobello mushrooms for this recipe. Try to pick mushrooms that are about the same diameter so you don’t end up with a lumpy bumpy portobello wellington. The cooked mushrooms (oil! Until nicely browned and glazed) are then layered with cooked baby spinach (chard works well here too) and caramelized onions.

Oven at 200 degrees and all of it in the pastry and let it bake for some 30 minutes.

Dessert: Super food sweet potato fries Ok, this is actually the dessert I am going to make for Christmas. I imagine a huge plate in the middle of the table and then there will be this huge mess of sweet potato fries drizzled with chocolate.

What to drink with it: I recommend green tea
