A global village, an interconnected world, international dimensions, multilateral organizations, transnational politics – these have become the most widely used expressions to describe a planet which is changing before our very eyes. A world in which it is becoming ever more the requirement to go beyond the national concept of space and social dimension. For this reason it is being requested, in every occupational field, that young professionals acquire competencies which will enable them to work in an international and global environment. Therefore, we must go beyond conventional academic preparation by adding other ingredients to the mix:
Practical approach of the working world
Transversal competencies and skills
Knowledge of languages and software packages
Ability to adapt in a multicultural atmosphere
Openness to change and dynamism
