ASH
Oak has a yellow to brown colour, sometimes in contrast with pale sapwood. It shows a straight grain or a characterful flame pattern.
Ash planks have a white to pale yellow colour, it has a beautiful pattern with flames and straight grain.

Keeping your wood floor IN top condition is easy We recommend dry cleaning your wood floor with the Quick•Step® microfibre mop. Once in a while slightly damp cleaning can be done with a damp mop.

If you take care of your Quick•Step® oiled floor from the start, it will age beautifully and you will avoid the need to re-oil. Compare this to moisturizing your hands; you wash them regularly, which is necessary, but by doing so your hands become dry. A good moisturizer protects your hands. The Quick•Step® Oil care does the same with your oiled floor: it protects and maintains your floor, preventing it from drying out and looking dull, restoring it to its original beauty. If you clean your floor on a weekly basis with Quick•Step® Cleaning products, you should use the Quick•Step® Oil care once a month. If, for example, you clean your floor every two weeks, you should use the Quick•Step® Oil care once every 2 months.

Light damage is easily repaired in the original floor colour using Quick•Step® Mix & Fix. With one version you can make 24 different colours, so you recreate the colour of the damaged plank quickly and easily. Available in 3 versions, ask your dealer for more advice.
Dilute the cleaning product in a bucket of water and mop the oiled floor with a well wrung out Quick•Step® cleaning mop. You can install your floor in no time thanks to Uniclic® Multifit. It’s your choice how: glued down with the Quick•Step® parquet glue or floating using a Quick•Step® underlay.
Quick•Step® parquet glue QSWGLUE12 This MS polymer glue (solvent- and isocyanate-free), especially developed to glue your Quick•Step® wood floor to most types of sub-surfaces is a ready-to-use, one-component glue. It provides good resistance to humidity and is highly elastic so your floor can breathe and expand freely with any temperature variations. It leaves no residue on your hands! Content: packed in 2 bags of 6 kg each, with glue trowel (use 1-1,2 kg per square meter engineered wood).

Gluing down your engineered wood floor is the best way to reduce reflection sound to a minimum. This is the sound you hear when you walk across the floor.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING Every Quick•Step® wood flooring –with exeption of ash- is suitable for installation over traditional underfloor heating. Keep in mind the following remarks. > For the highest thermal transmittance and optimal efficiency we advice to glue down your floor with Quick•Step® Parquet Glue. A sudden or large change in temperature can cause condensation since a damp-resistant screen cannot be used when the wood floor is glued down. One must take into account the possibility of open joints during the heating period. > With a floating installation using a Quick•Step® underlay, the most effective result is obtained with the Quick•step® Unisound Pro. Using the correct underlay can stop rising damp or condensation. Open joints during the heating period are almost non existent. Compared to a glued installation the thermal transmittance and efficiency is slightly lower.

HEVEA Core Originally planted for its latex production, Hevea - the core of most of our wood flooring - comes from a tree that is better known as Rubberwood. After 25 years, these trees no longer yield sufficient latex and are logged. In the past, farmers used to burn these trees but now Quick•Step® recycles and uses the wood to produce quality Quick•Step® wood flooring.
