SNEAKERBOX
COMMERICAL DESIGN I 2020 SUMMER
Sneakerbox is one of Canada’s leading Streetwear and Sneaker boutiques. It globally sourced high quality premium sneakers, streetwear since 2008. It wishes to be perceived by the public as a life of casual leisure taste.
The brand logo emphasise and visualise the sneaker showcase. The simple black and white colour scheme, combined with the Sans serif font, creates an overall modern atmosphere.
Design Concept
The concept for this project is inspired from the client’s branding and skateboard culture, which are modernism and urbanism.
The key theme throughout the space is a modern urban look inspired by the “Concrete Canyons” in city’s skateparks, bringing sense of the sneaker subculture community into the interior space.
To accomplish the scenes, the overall layout is open with a unobstructed view. The interior has a predominantly black background to reflect the dark, masculine branding image. The display area will contrast with the main background to showcase the merchandise. The whole design links together, while addressing the idea of “Concrete Canyons”.

Language Center Of St John’s City
SENIOR DESIGN I 2021 SPRING
The senior project gave me the first exposure to architectural design. This project is based on a competition in St John’s city, Newfound and Labrador, the objective is to respects the history, reflects on the the present and aim for the future.
Senior project II is the final studio course that develops feasible solutions for the projects initiated in Senior Project.

Competiton Information
St john’s city in Newfoundland and Labrador has always been a linguistically diverse place, welcoming people of every language and from every culture. However, this has slowly changed over time. To preserve this language hub, Newfoundland and
Labrador proposed establishing a language center for the province that will focus on the conservation and dissemination of the Various languages that existed historically and are now extinct or endangered.

The proposed intervention must respects the history, reflects on the the present and aim for the future..

The proposed intervention must take inspiration from the existing architecture style of the city and feel like a part of it.
The center would also become an important place for the Tourists. Thus, the design must look at ways to cater them as well.

The design must take advantage of the beautiful location and try to capture magnificent views St John's and it’s harbour.

Concept Statement
The design will focus on the visitor experience; the goal is to create a children-friendly, inspiring, and welcoming collaboration space.
To better match the eye-catching colour of wayfinding, the space is primarily reflected with neutral colour. The circulation organises the public and exhibition areas into a single fluid whole with clear directions that guides visitors through the space. The public space must have the functions of reception, rest, and waiting, as well as adequate sunlight and a cosy welcoming atmosphere.
