he Kingdom of God is threatened by demon invaders. Lucifer assembles a third of the Divine Host attempting to overthrow God and His legions of angels, to place himself as ruler of the Celestial Kingdom. The angels that have formed an alliance with Lucifer are called Watchers, Grigoris, and Zones (known as Demonites). These angels have revolted against God by refusing to be servants to Adam. Diplomatic efforts have collapsed, and the region has plunged into anarchy. Chaos and turmoil have shaken the heavens and have weakened the suppression power of the seal. Now the Celestial Kingdom has come to encounter darkness. In a fierce battle, Archangels Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel lose their weapons, and they are taken captive by Demonite forces. During an intense battle, their weapons, The Pendant of Light, The Bow of Justice and Arrows of Truth, The Shield of Strength, and The Sword of Power all fall out of the spiritual realm, and they manifest into the natural world. Buried in the Earth, the weapons are lost and sealed away until the sons of Adam—Abe, Dave, Josh, and Jake—discover these powerful treasures. Accidentally, they unlock the weapons’ secrets, opening a doorway into the spiritual realm. Entering a world untouched by time, they meet a mysterious guardian known as Melchizedek. Knowing their mission, he leads them into a place called the Chapel Pyramid. Hidden within the shadows of the pyramid are the Four Eternal Stones of the Gods: Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. All are lying dormant. Deep within these sacred stones lie the Four Enchanting Beasts of Light, the phoenix, Pegasus, the unicorn, and the griffin, defenders of the cosmos, ready to be released if called upon. With transcended bodies, the sons of Adam come face to face with a vengeful spirit hell-bent on ousting God as ruler of the angelic world. Manipulation and distrust have divided the Celestial Kingdom, putting God vs. gods and man vs. spirits in an epic battle of the ages. If
both worlds are to survive, the sons of Adam must rely on their instincts and skills to defeat Lucifer and his hoards of Demonites. They realize that there is no greater calling than that which has been bestowed upon them. They must free the Archangels from their prison, and unite them with their weapons to beat back a relentless foe. If they should fail, both worlds are doomed for all eternity.
CHAPTER 1
H
igh up in the exosphere is a behemoth mansion that challenges the imagination. Its Gothic appearance makes it a beauty for the eye to behold, sitting in the emptiness of space. The street in front of this mansion is paved with gold, and leads from the main entrance of the gatehouse to the city. Beyond the gatehouse is an outer court, which is a lower level of the inner court. The size of the outer court is immeasurable. It is capable of holding millions upon millions of creatures of all sizes. The beauty of the garden is unimaginable. The landscape of the gardens is masterfully designed. Its layout consists of pathways, rockeries, walls, fountains, waterfalls, sitting areas, decking, and plants, placed throughout the garden. At the west side of the outer court, overlooking the garden, sits the magnificent Gothic mansion. On the inside of the mansion, there is a hall for feasting, a chamber for counseling, and a chapel for worshipping. From vaulted ceilings, beautiful Mateo chandeliers hang in various places throughout the mansion. Several diamond staircases lead to three terraces, steps above each other on the upper floor, overlooking the throne room. Holding up the terraces are seven clear quartz pillars, their precious stone interwoven with peacock-colored vines that reach the top of the ceiling. Two blue calcite lamp stands are positioned at the base of each pillar. The throne room itself is massive and impressive. Its floor is made up of what appears to be a sea of glass, clearer than crystal. The one sitting there goes by many names, but the name He is most commonly called by is Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, The Lord of Host. His appearance is like jasper and carnelian, resembling aqua. A spectrum of light forms a multicoloured rainbow, which arches over His throne. Four eternal flames positioned around His throne burn perpetually. The walls of the throne room are garnished in white and crimson, with purple and black agate rhinestones deeply imbedded in them. 1
Lost Treasures of the Gods One eon ago, while looking out from His terrace into the dark abyss, a vision of an orderly and harmonious system appeared to Him. Its orderly arrangement contained untold billions of ornaments of divine order. As He honed in on the vision, He saw a small blue sphere, teaming with life. The inhabitants of the sphere sang praises unto Him, ministered unto Him, and communed with Him often. Fascinated by this, He decided to make this vision a reality. Overwhelmed with creative energy, Lord Ehyeh made ready to plunge into the depths of the abyss below. As He prepared to exit the throne room, He took the four eternal flames with Him to aid Him in His quest. As He left the monastery, there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. The LORD descended into the vast emptiness of the deep. He drastically reduced His glory, which enabled Him to blend into the darkness, becoming almost invisible. Lord Ehyeh walked across the dark space, as if there were a surface upon which to walk. The darkness of the black abyss intrigued Him so much, He decided to investigate it a little further. He commanded the four eternal flames to hold their positions as He traveled across the abyss from end to end, gathering information about its expansion and its limitations. After gathering the necessary information, He ex nihilo, out of nothing, brought forth a superordinate object—a glob of matter—and later, a host of other different species that He envisioned. The substance had no form, as darkness was upon the face of the deep. The image of the Lord moved over the surface. Seeing His reflection, He said, “Let there be light.” Illuminating in the dark sky, the glory of the LORD shone around Him, revealing an aqua and teal-colored surface. He called the flat translucent glob of matter water. Stepping out of His glory, Lord Ehyeh saw the light; He saw that the light was good. He compressed the light, dividing it from the darkness. The light He called day, and the darkness He called night. The latter part of the day, He called evening, and the early part of the day He called morning. He called this the first day. Looking at the pre-mortal matter in its present condition, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh saw that it was empty and void. He said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water; let it divide the waters.” From the glob’s watery surface, vapors began rising into the sky, forming a canopy. The LORD divided the waters that were under 2
Lost Treasures of the Gods the firmament from the waters that were above the firmament. Like a curtain drawn out, the canopy expanded over the water, rounding its contour into shape, and separated the waters. Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh made the outer layer of the firmament. The once pure gas He turned into dense hydrogen, while the lower parts of the firmament He turned into oxygen. Looking at the firmament, He divided it into three heavens. Within these three heavens, He created space pockets known as atmospheric layers. He divided these three layers into five individual parts. He named them troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere. The first two He called the troposphere and the stratosphere. The troposphere is the densest layer of gas, and contains seventy-five percent of the atmosphere. It is designed to hold all water vapors. Next to be created was the stratosphere. The stratosphere is the second layer of Earth’s atmosphere, just above the troposphere. Ninety percent of the ozone in the atmosphere is contained in the stratosphere. These two atmospheric layers are known as the First Heaven. Next, in order, are the mesosphere and thermosphere. Located fifty to eighty or eighty-five kilometers above Earth's surface, the mesosphere’s atmospheric tides are driven by upward momentum from the lower atmosphere, which extends into the lower thermosphere. Within the mesosphere, meteors and comets burn as they enter Earth’s atmosphere. Next is the thermosphere. The thermosphere is the fourth atmospheric layer moving outward from Earth. This gigantic layer of atmosphere is designed to contain the ultraviolet radiation that causes ionization. Solar radiation causes the dense air particles in this layer to become electrically charged, enabling radio waves to bounce off Earth. Within these two atmospheric layers are the angelic chambers and a gianormous hall for celebrating. These two atmospheric layers make up the Second Heaven. The fifth and final layer of the atmosphere is known as the exosphere. This massive expansion of space is the uppermost layer of the atmosphere. From the exosphere, atmospheric gases, atoms, and molecules escape into the layer’s inner core. This huge space pocket is known as the Third Heaven in the order of the atmospheric layers. With Earth being barren, Lord Ehyeh looked out at the planet from both ends. He placed a magnetic pole at each end of the Earth. 3
Lost Treasures of the Gods He placed one pole in the North and the other in the South, with the North being at 90° degrees. He placed a polar cap at each pole, with the interior—the Earth’s core—to sustain them. He divided the solid sphere into three layers. First, He started with the core of the planet. He covered the core with a layer of rock that He called the mantle. Finally, Lord Ehyeh composed a great variety of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks that made up the crust. All were submerged beneath the body of water. Looking above at the firmament, the LORD named the firmament Heaven, and He called the evening and the morning the second day. The next day, while hovering over the water, God looked up to the Heavens and said, “Let the waters under the Heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” Like a huge vacuum, trillions of condensed droplets were drawn upward in the form of ice crystals in the firmament of Heaven. The crystals gathered to form clouds across the atmosphere. As the droplets floated above the upper layer, the water underneath the firmament began receding, revealing a rocky crust of land. Walking in the midst of the rising droplets, Lord Ehyeh watched as levels of waters retreated further and further away from the crust. Banks and shorelines began to appear along the edge of the sphere’s crust, revealing its landscape, exposed by the receding waters. Three days would pass before Lord Ehyeh decided to bring an end to the rising droplets. Walking over the dry land, He looked out and saw millions of miles of ecoregions, soil, and rocks before Him. Pleased with the result, He called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of waters He called seas. A few miles away, Lord Ehyeh decided to cultivate an area eastward of the great sea. After mapping out its borders, He called the area Eden. As He walked across the surface of the barren tier, Lord Ehyeh decided to beautify the empty landscape. From out of the ground, He made grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life grew in the midst of the garden, as well as the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Lord Ehyeh saw that it was good, and said,
4
Lost Treasures of the Gods “Let the Earth bring forth more grass-and-herb-yielding seed, and let the fruit tree come forth, yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself.” As Lord Ehyeh commanded, the Earth brought forth grass-andherb-yielding seed after its kind, and the trees yielding fruit whose seed was in itself after its kind. Then The LORD caused a river to flow out of Eden to water the garden, where it divided into four heads. The river provided water to every square inch of the garden. The name of the first river was Pison, which encompassed the whole land of Havilah. There was an abundance of gold, bdellium, and onyx stone in the region. The name of the second river was Gihon. This flowed through the whole land of Ethiopia. The name of the third river was Hiddekel. It flowed toward the east end of the garden. The fourth and final river, He called the Euphrates, and Lord Ehyeh saw that it was good. The evening and the morning, He called the third day. As the deep depths of darkness covered the Earth, The Lord saw a need for light to shine upon the blue planet, and The LORD said, “Let there be light in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night, and let it shine there for signs, for seasons, for days, and for years, and let the lights in the firmament of the heavens give light upon the Earth.”

ilting 23.5 degrees from vertical, the Earth’s orbital motion was set to bring about the planets’ seasonal change. Satisfied with the results, Lord Ehyeh held out His right hand, and a bright burst of energy emanated from His palm, revealing quad-trillions of amber lights. He hurled the amber lights into the vast darkness of the deep. Clusters of lights were scattered across the heavens, reaching the ends of the universe. The clusters of lights formed quasars, milky ways, galaxies, nebulas, and black holes. Because of the intensity of their heat, Lord Ehyeh positioned them light years away from the Earth. He called this large body of light the universe. With light shining upon the Earth, He saw a need for an even greater light to shine upon the planet. So the LORD made two huge spheres, one of which He overshadowed. He infused the sphere with His glory, causing it to bloom to a whopping 864,938 miles wide, to rule the day, and the lesser sphere he caused to rule the night. He called the greater sphere tut, sun, and the other He called muat, moon. He designed the muat to make one full orbit around Earth every 29.5 days. During this period, the lesser sphere entered into a series of phases that caused light to reflect off Earth’s surface, which made the shape of the sphere visible to the eye from Earth. To maintain the order, Lord Ehyeh created several more strange moons and planets, which He set in the solar system. One of these planets has several rings around it and another has a massive storm center that never disbands. A grand total of seventeen planets including the Earth were created, along with many moons. Lord Ehyeh saw a need for servants, councils, and guardians to assist Him in the decision making and policy planning for the universe. He reached into His hair and plucked out a lock from the root. He separated the lock into twenty-four individual strands, with the roots standing upright. As Lord Ehyeh examined each strand of hair, He looked in the direction of the kingdom, calling forth twenty-four 6
Lost Treasures of the Gods celestial lights. From every angle of the kingdom, twenty-four bright flashes twinkled in the dark sky above Him. As the LORD commanded, the twenty-four celestial lights descended from the kingdom and appeared before Him. He motioned for the lights to merge with the strands of hair. As the lights merged, they transformed the hairs into twenty-four empty shells, all covered in white garments. Hair of every variety adorned the creations. The locks of some were medium long; the locks others were short and curly. A couple of them had receding hairlines, while others appeared to be bald. Some had faces that looked like ripples in water, while other had faces like a haze of heat from a scorched road. Some were clean-shaven, while others sported beards, mustaches, and goatees. Pleased at their appearance, Lord Ehyeh said, “Being that these Anodroids shall possess my knowledge, I shall call these creatures Superiniels (elders), because they are beings of valued wisdom. Their governing shall be under my mandate.” So the glory of the LORD overshadowed the Anodroids, bringing them to life. Immediately, their instinct told them to bow before Him, and He said to them, “Arise. I Am Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, The Lord of Host. I am the Supreme Lord of the unirealm, the natural and spiritual realm, and these crowns of gold that I possess are a symbol of my righteousness, and a testament to my wisdom. They shall sit upon thy heads for all eternity as a symbol of thy righteousness and a testament to thy wisdom. Only in the presence of the Lord shalt thou cast them down as a sign of my majesty. I created thee to worship me, to sit in counsel with me, to assist me in judgment. Thy speech shall go unopposed when rendering thy judgment before me. Only in the throne room shall I be greater than thee.” All the Superiniels in unison agreed to Lord Ehyeh’s decree. He further told them that throughout eternity, they would be his elders, helping to render judgments from Heaven. “I shall bring forth creatures of immense power and strength to aid in controlling the divine order. They shall carry the seal of the Lord for all eternity. Their breed shall be unlike any other in all of Heaven.” Looking out into space, LORD Ehyeh saw and willed for the cascading star that was streaking through space to appear before Him. The brightly colored topaz appeared as He commanded. With little or no effort, He broke the massive luminous plasma ball into four 7
Lost Treasures of the Gods individual pieces. Like a sculptor with marble, He cut, shaped, and molded each piece of the star, skillfully defining each image. This creation reflected His sovereignty and His glory. He looked at all four creatures, and lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon the four creatures, bringing them to life. Because of their intimidating appearance, having four wings attached to their bodies, He named these creatures Terrestrials, Four Living Creatures. These creatures’ appearance is of brilliant nickel with bright gold flares surrounding their aura. Their function is to maintain a divine connection between thought and wisdom. They were charged with helping to secure the LORD’s manifestation. These bright, dazzling creatures have four heads attached to their celestial bodies with their faces distorted. Their faces are left uncreated, with their geometrical shape intact. They reside near the throne of the LORD. Terrestrials can switch on or turn off their glory at a moment’s notice. Their energetic assimilation makes them tireless in their activity. Their keenness carries positive energy as Lord Ehyeh decreed throughout the Celestial Kingdom. He told them that they represented all things spiritual. He charged them with carrying the seven spirits of yovel, jubilee. Their strength, he told them, is in numbers. They are capable of maneuvering at lightening speeds. They are equipped with a pair of lethal arms, capable of slicing through steel, gold, and copper.
The place is London, England, and the year is 1934, when Joshua awakes to another gloomy morning. . . “Mum, why is it always so blinkin' gloomy here first thing in the morning?” Joshua asked, as he rubbed his eyes, stretching. “I do not know, son. It’s always been that way since I can remember,” she responded, and continued humming “On the Good Ship Lollipop,” the tune from the movie Bright Eyes, starring Shirley Temple, which had opened the previous night at the local movie house. “Joshua! Get up lazybones. Why don’t you go help your father?” He got up and jaunted off to the bathroom, where he cleaned himself up and got dressed. Running downstairs, he yelled, 8
Lost Treasures of the Gods “Mum, could you fix me a peanut butter sandwich on toast for breakfast, please.” Honoring his request, she fixed him a sandwich and shooed him out the door so she could catch up on her reading and finish her cup of coffee. He gladly took the peanut butter sandwich and ran out the door. Peanut butter is a great way to start the day, he thought, running across the field. Not quite a teenager, he was taller than most of the boys his age. His disposition was always bright and cheery, ready and willing to lend a hand, even when it seemed like he really did not want to. He heard his dad inquire from under the tractor, “Joshua! Is that you, son?” “Yes, it is,” he answered, munching on the rest of his sandwich. “Good! Come help me,” said his dad. “What ya doing, Pop?” With a bit of frustration in his voice, his dad said, “I’m trying to fix this bloody engine on the tractor.” “Ooooo . . . You know how Mum feels about you using that word,” “Well, don't tell her, then,” replied his dad. “Ooooo . . . You know how Mum feels about me telling stories,” His father looked over at him with a raised eyebrow and laughed. “You are your mother’s son for sure. Come over here and hand me that tool I asked ya for,” his dad said with a smile. Joshua sat on a pile of hay and waited patiently for his father to finish working on the tractor’s engine. “Dad . . .” “Yes, son.” “I'm bored.” “Ok . . . So what would you have me do about it, Joshua?” “I don't know, Dad,” “Well, why ya don’t go play?” “Mum told me to come out here and help you.” “All right, Joshua.” His dad paused for a moment, and then he said, “Joshua, why don't you go and have some fun. I can handle this. And besides, if you are so bored, you’ll be no help to me anyway.” 9
Lost Treasures of the Gods His dad looked at him smiling. “So go.” Like a bullet, the lad bolted out of the barn and ran into the field, pretending that he was a plane zooming around the vast grounds where his house sat. He soon found himself at the base of the mountain near his home. As he continued pretending, he saw Cody and Tyler sitting on the ground, talking to each other. “Hey, guys, what are you doing? he asked. “Just talking,” said Tyler. “Oh, well, I need to talk to you guys . . . so can I join in?” “Sure,” replied Cody. “Where have you been anyway? We hardly see you anymore after school.” Tyler looked at him as he waited for the answer. “I know. I haven’t been feeling so hot lately. When I get home, I go directly to sleep. As a matter of fact, that’s what I want to talk to you guys about. Remember a few years ago when I was having all those nightmares, and everyone thought I was nuts?” Simultaneously, the boys said, “Yeah, we remember.” “Well, those dreams are coming back again,” said Joshua, with a somber expression. “No way!” said Tyler. “Yeah, but this time, it’s weirder than the last,” “Weirder than those yellow eyes you kept seeing?” Cody frowned as he asked the question. “Yeah. This time there are three other people besides me and those creepy eyes. Plus, there’s a whole lot of fighting going on. I don’t want to tell my parents. They will just think I’m going nuts and have a whole bunch of doctors telling me that something’s wrong with me.” The boys looked at one another and began to fidget. “Stop being antsy.” and hen he shouted. “THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME!” He was becoming frustrated over the thought that some of his family and friends thought he had a psychological problem. He knew he wasn’t going crazy, but the dreams had begun to take their toll on him. “So . . . is there anything else about those dreams you remember?” asked Cody. 10
Lost Treasures of the Gods “I remember hearing a barking sound. I thought that it was Rex barking. When I went to tell him to be quite, he was sound asleep,” “Yeah! Oh! So, how long have you been having those weird dreams?” asked Tyler, nudging Cody. “A couple of months now,” “And you haven’t said anything to anyone?” asked Tyler. “No,”. “Are you crazy? You should tell someone about this,” said Cody. Joshua stood up, throwing his hands to the sky. “Guys, I don’t want to tell any grown-ups about this. You have to swear too me that you won’t say a thing to anyone. I mean it! Swear it,” said Joshua, becoming agitated. “Oooook,” said Tyler and Cody, looking at one another. The three of them made a pact, shook on it, and pinky swore. Joshua trusted Tyler and Cody to keep his secret because they had been friends for what seemed like forever. “What else do you remember? Tell us,” asked Tyler.

hey all take a seat on the grass as Joshua began telling them the rest of story. “I remember that it was really dark. I mean pitch black, and I was all alone. Then I noticed those same eyes staring at me in the distance. I looked in the same direction and I saw three boys. They all looked like they were a little older than me. At least, they were taller . . . I think,” He continued explaining his dream to Tyler and Cody. “The people in my dreams all had some sorta things with them. These things looked like weapons. I don’t know . . . It was really hard to see in the dark, but I could see these really tall creatures standing directly behind them. There were four of them, but one of them didn’t have anyone in front of it. He was beckoning to me to come to him. I’m not sure if that was really what he was doing, and yet I felt the urge to go to him,” Fascinated by what they were hearing, Tyler and Cody listened intently to their friend’s story. He noticed how much attention they were paying to him, so he decided to make it a bit more interesting. He continued on, but became more animated, “Those piercing eyes turned and looked at me,” he said in a stern voice. Joshua stood up and spun around, showing Tyler and Cody the action, as though it had occurred in a movie. He began to describe some of the images that he’d seen in his dream. “Their eyes were bright red with three yellow pupils in the center of each.” He opened his own eyes wide and lunged forward toward Tyler and Cody, startling them. “It was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen,” “Incredible said Tyler and Cody, as they looked at each other. “So, what do you think the dream means?” asked Cody. “I don’t know,” he says as he shrugged his shoulders. “We’re you scared?” asked Tyler. “Not really. They are just dreams, aren’t they?” He was really asking himself that question, while Tyler and Cody shrugged noncommittally, and said, “Who knows? Maybe it’s a premonition of some sort.” “A what?” Joshua asked. “You know . . . like when you know something is going to happen in the future, but you don’t really know, because it’s in the future, and then that very thing happens exactly the way you saw it,” said Tyler. “Hmmm. Maybe that’s what it is,” said Cody. “I don’t know,” said Joshua. “Well, we are off to the store. Do you wanna come with us?” Tyler asked. “No, thanks.” “Okay. We’ll see you tomorrow morning,” said Cody, as he patted Joshua on his shoulder.
12
Lost Treasures of the Gods Tyler patted him on the back, saying, “You are probably just going through a phase or something.” There was a moment of silence. Then all three boys burst into uncontrollable laughter, and they all fell to the ground. “That’s what our parents always say,” said Tyler. “Yeah, you’re just going through some phase,” said Cody. Still laughing, Tyler and Cody walked off and turned back to wave to their friend. Joshua waved back, and then turned and walked away in the opposite direction. Tyler asked Cody, “What do you really think about Joshua’s story?” “It’s kinda creepy, the way he keeps having those crazy dreams,” said Cody. “Yeah, it is,” said Tyler. “Do you think it means something, Cody?” Tyler asked. Tyler continued looking at Joshua walking off in the distance. “Beats me.” “What if they really are premonitions? That would just be creepy.” The boys looked at one another once again. “What if something terrible is going to happen to Joshua and his dreams are trying to warn him?” Tyler stopped walking as he asked the question. Cody remained quiet, but his mind was filled with wonder at what his friend had just said. “What if he’s really in some sort of danger, and Joshua has tapped into something that no one else has ever seen?” Tyler continued, “I know we promised that we wouldn’t say anything, but . . .” After a momentary pause, he said, “maybe we should say something.” Cody stopped Tyler in his tracks, “You know we can’t do that. We swore to Joshua that we would not tell.” “You’re right. I’m scared, though. What if something really is wrong with Joshua? What if he needs our help, Cody?” The two looked down at the ground, as they walked, and Tyler said, “Nah . . . We sound like mother hens.” “Maybe you do,” “I am a rooster!” Both of them laughed, making odd chicken noises, trying to out do one another as they proceeded on their way. At the base of mountain side, Joshua looked up at the rugged slope. He decided he would go for a climb. While climbing, to amuse himself, he began to sing a song. “Jack and Jill went up the hill, to see what he could find. Jack fell down, broke his crown, landing on his behind.” He began to laugh at his clever little ditty. He tripped over a small bush, and he began tumbling down the mountainside. He fell back halfway down from his ending point, landing on a small ledge that he had stepped on not ten minutes before. Sitting on the protruding ledge, he looked down between his legs to see what he had landed on. He had landed on something silvery. He hadn’t really taken notice of it while he was walking up the mountain. Pulling himself to his feet, he rubbed his bum. “Ouch! That really hurt.” “It wasn’t my crown that got broken,” he said, laughing to himself. He began to investigate the object that he’d discovered after his fall. He tried to dig around the object, but it was lodged into the mountain really well. He dug deeper, until he
13
Lost Treasures of the Gods saw an emblem on the item. It appeared to be a letter. As he dug, he discovered that the thing was very large. He looked underneath it and found nothing but more dirt. He began to dig it out from its resting place. He dug underneath it until the hole he was digging was almost a tunnel, with his head and shoulders inside. Only his feet remained sticking out. He crawled out and sat down. He looked over and noticed that the item was extremely shiny. On the surface, it looked like a treasure chest cover. If it was a cover, then where was the rest of it? He wondered. Once again under the object and lying in the makeshift tunnel began to creep him out. He scooted out backwards until he was outside the hole. Sitting there on the ground, Joshua noticed that his surroundings had become very quiet, and all the birds in the vicinity had stopped singing, “That’s weird. I don't hear any birds chirping. It was so loud here a moment ago.” Unexpectedly the Earth began to move violently. The shaking knocked Joshua slightly off balance. Scared, he held onto the edge of the item he’d found. Huge rocks began falling around him. “OH, NO!” He shouted. Terror gripped his voice, “I'm going to be smashed to pieces if I don’t get off this mountain!” He said as boulders fell on both sides of him, making him flinch with every crashing sound. He looked up and saw an enormous boulder barreling down the mountain toward him. Unknown to Joshua, at the top of the mountain stood a Demon. His eyes glowed red as he scanned the terrain, searching for the lost item. He recklessly tossed aside trees, kicked rocks, and unearthed gravel, causing boulders to break free from where they lay. Watching from a distance, an Arch Yinpiniel saw a huge boulder heading in Joshua’s direction. The demon left and went over to the other side of the mountain. Joshua’s quick thinking saved his life as he dove under the object that he’d begun digging out. Creation continues . . . The LORD tells both Superiniels and Terrestrials that He was going to bring forth more guardians to aid in keeping order in the Celestial Kingdom. Lord Ehyeh grabbed four of the bright flares from around each Terrestrial. With each flare, He created four enchanting creatures. The heights of two of them were massive, while the heights of the other two were average. After examining the empty shells of the creatures carefully, He took the flames and put it into the each of their mouths. Fire raced through the creatures’ empty shells, and the burning zeal began bringing their fiery spirits to life. Their anion flames burnt purple and gold as a cation aura surrounded each of them, symbolizing their zeal for the LORD of Host. He decided not to put a seal over these creatures; instead, He opted for their spirits to return to the Terrestrials. After giving life to the four creatures, He put them into a deep sleep, and placed them inside of four tombs. The light of Lord Ehyeh turned each tomb into four astonishing gems. One tomb was turned into an emerald; the other three tombs were turned into a ruby, a sapphire, and a diamond. The LORD commanded the Terrestrials to take the four stones to the entrance of the gati (gate). The Terrestrials did as they were commanded to do. Very pleased, He said to the Superiniels, “I shall bring forth beings of divine light and wisdom. They shall be my Holy Thirteen. They shall be an extension of the Lord, and the third extension of existence. These creatures shall possess an ascending and descending principle of creation, whether out of or in
14
Lost Treasures of the Gods balance, in harmony, or in synchronization with each other. They shall be my record keepers and guardians of my glory. I shall ordain them to be leaders of the Celestial Choir, singing praises unto the Lord, giving the Lord the highest praise, because my glory shall cease not.” From the mouth of Lord Ehyeh, a shining silver plume of smoke was released as He regurgitated it from His belly. The smoke expanded outward vertically, where it began to settle and take on the shape of thirteen Celestial Beings. The beauty of these creatures was aweinspiring. The height of one of these creatures was very noticeable. Its beauty far superseded the beauty of the other twelve that were present with Him. Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh anointed them to be first in the choir and teachers of song. He told them that their beauty is a reflection of Him, because of His glory. He decided to call these beautiful creatures Illuminiel. The light of an Illuminiel is a burning, all-consuming, and unquenchable flame. They can mimic any bodily structure or take on the appearance of anything in the spiritual or natural realm, with the exception of Lord Ehyeh. With their radiant and enlightening power, to look upon them in their natural state would instill fright. They carry a deep insight into Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh's secrets. Their chief task in the Celestial Hierarchy is to sing the praises of Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh. If threatened, they can lay waste to an entire army, unleashing havoc. After He created the Illuminiels, Lord Ehyeh sent them over to stand next to the Superiniels. Pleased, He said, “I shall bring forth four more creatures that shall serve as caretakers of my throne and keepers of my wisdom. They shall minister unto the Lord concerning all the affairs of creation. They shall be fashioned from these four eternal flames. They shall be known as the burning ones, because they reflect the pure holiness of the Lord.” The Superiniels agreed to the creation of more celestial lights. So Lord Ehyeh took the four burning flames that He brought from before, and He fashioned from the flames four mighty blue creatures. He shaped their images by combining the vitalism, vital sparks, of the Superiniels, Terrestrials, and the Illuminiels, bringing them together as one. The vital sparks turned these creatures from blue flame to red and gold, with six wings, two covering the upper torso and face, two covering the lower torso and feet, and two to fly with, their red and gold color symbolizing fire.
CHAPTER 4 Their faces were composed of millions of molecules. As they spoke, small specks of light that would burst whenever a sound was made. These fiery spirits sang praises unto God continuously, reminding Him of His Holiness. He gave them the names Aνωτέρω, ∆ικαίωµα, Αριστερός, and Kάτω από. He called these agents of light Seraphim. He made them the elite in the order of angels. He told them that they were to surround His throne. The one perched above His throne was the only thing higher than the throne itself. The other two were on either side, with one at the basin.i Aνωτέρω is the Greek word for above. ∆ικαίωµα is the Greek word for right. Αριστερός is the Greek word for left, and Kάτω από is the Greek word for underneath.
He told them that one by one they would minister unto Him concerning the affairs of the universe. Seraphim can never physically leave the throne room, except when Lord Ehyeh bids
15
Lost Treasures of the Gods them to do so. They can appear in holographic form anywhere outside the throne room. Their flames are fueled by their eternal love and zeal for the Lord. They send out positive energy through the order of angels as decreed by Lord Ehyeh. Their assimilation always keeps them in the presence of the Almighty. He turned to His newest creation, the Seraphim, along with the Superiniels and the Illuminiels, saying to them, “I am calling for more servants to tend to the Earth and its host. Their task will be to glorify the Lord and sing praise to my majesty. I shall bless them with my likeness, and my light shall be their light.” The Terrestrials returned just in time to see the LORD extending His right hand. They watched as sparks of light began to stream from His palm, gathering to form a great sphere. While hovering in the face of the deep, Lord Ehyeh recited the Ne-O-lia language of the spirits. From within the sphere, shadowy figures began to form and take shape. The images of these creatures were undesirable as they appeared within the sphere. Countless numbers of syfluescent beings that He called droids streamed from the symbionic light of the LORD. Standing like soldiers in a military formation, the appearance of their faces was like blank canvases waiting to be painted on. Lord Ehyeh looked at the sea of droids standing lifeless before Him, some with two and four pairs of wings attached to their celestial bodies. Some were created with faces that looked like dust, while others had faces that appeared as lightning. The rest of the clan had unshapely and distorted faces. From His waistline, He pulled out the Urn of Amal. Its lid was sealed with a thin layer of light. Lord Ehyeh broke the seal of the Urn, removing its lid. After that, He began chanting the Holy Conite language of Tarkane-un (language of the spirits). Like from a pot of boiling water, steam rose above the urn’s opening. The hydrogen gas in the atmosphere turned the steam into a bright azure blue mist as it hovered over the urn. The LORD blew the mist into the faces of the droids. The mist entered the droids’ bodies through their nostrils. After the mist entered their bodies, deep within, their amber light began to glow, flowing like blood coursing through veins. The amber light split into to two individual pieces. One piece traveled up to their heads, while the other piece traveled to center of the creatures’ transparent bodies, forming their brains and their hearts. All of their hearts began to beat in a synchronized rhythm. The light of the droids overshadowed the dark vast depth of the heavens.1 With the spirit of the Lord rushing through their bodies, the syfluescent droids themselves became living spirits. He decided to name all of the syfluescent droids angels. Some of these beings had eyes like lamps of fire, others had eyes like black diamonds, and still others had eyes like sparkling, brightly colored jewels. All of them were large and fearful, yet the ones with the black eyes were not only fearful, they were dreadful looking as well, because their eyes were deep, dark, and void. And the Lord divided His legion of angels into four platoons. Each platoon had a separate division known as a schema. To compliment their nature, He gave each schema an angelic name. The first group of schemas He called Superiniels, Terrestrial, and Illuminiels. The second group of schemas He called Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones. These two groups He placed first in the hierarchy in the angelic order. The third group of schemas He called Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Rulers, and Authorities. They were placed second in the hierarchy of the order. The forth and final group of schemas He called Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. They were 1
Syfluescent: Ciphered florescent light. Tarkane-un: The first spoken language of Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh. Crequoise (Cree coy us),
smokelike.
16
Lost Treasures of the Gods placed third in the hierarchy. All these groups of schemas were created with one purpose, and that purpose is to serve Lord Ehyeh without conditions. Lord Ehyeh placed a seal of divine order over each platoon, which stands for all eternity. Four divisions in the order of the hierarchy with fourteen separate schemas as a whole had now been completed. Each schema was given a name and a task to perform, according to their rank in the platoon. With their very distinct appearance, these creatures were given the name Cherubim, because they represent all that is natural and spiritual. Cherubim are an elite being among angels, whose task is to help maintain order in the Heavenly Host. They are descendants of the Terrestials. They can also switch off their glory at a moment’s notice. They were created with four outstretched wings. Their name signifies Keeper (One that has charge). Their position makes them some of the most powerful angels in service to the Lord. They are beyond the throne of the Lord. They are guardians of light and stars. Their rank makes them fourth in the heavenly choir. They have the responsibility of being the charioteers, driving the chariot of the Lord. They guard one of the gati (gate). They are also charged with guarding the throne. They are best known for their knowledge and power. Armed with flaming swords, annihilation by incineration is the fate of those that stand in their way. Despite their massive size, these creatures can move with alarming speed. They are capable of destroying massive areas with their light of diffusion. Cherubim are only surpassed by the love of the Seraphim. Now, being closely connected with the Cherubim, Thrones are an unusual band of angels that possess tremendous power. They are third in the schema and their position ranks them amongst the most powerful angels in the hierarchy. Like a working clog in a machine, when Cherubim move, Thrones move with them. They appear as a beryl-colored wheel-within-awheel, and their rims are covered with hundreds of bright, jewel-like eyes. They are charged with sending healing energies, while shining their light on the unjust. The spirit of the LORD is conveyed in a certain manner to these angels, who, in turn, pass on the message to the angels of the lower ward. Next in rank are the angels of the third platoon, first in the schema. Dominions hold the task of regulating the duties of lower angels. They receive their orders from the Seraphim, Cherubim, and on occasion, Lord Ehyeh Himself. The appearance of Dominions is green and gold, and their symbols are the sword and scepter. They are responsible for ensuring that the cosmos remains in order. Quietly, they concern themselves with the details of the very being and the existence of all things in the universe. Dominions can make themselves appear as physical beings by walking through the doorway between the natural world and the spiritual realm. Next are the Virtues. These angels are ranked fifth in the ascending order of the hierarchy. Far from being weak and feeble, their unshakable virility makes them unwavering. They are glowing and statuesque in appearance. Their divine illuminations and their assimilation with the LORD enable them to work miracles on Earth. Virtues were created to be the keystones of the Seven Holy Virtues. The order of the Seven Holy Virtues consists of Chastity (opposes lust), Abstinence (opposes gluttony), Liberality (opposes greed), Diligence (opposes sloth), Patience (opposes wrath), Kindness (opposes envy), and Humility (opposes pride). They lie beyond the Thrones, and are equal to Principalities in the hierarchy. They carry out the orders issued by the Dominions. Their task is to oversee creation and keep the universe from falling into utter chaos. Their first order is to preside over the movements of the celestial bodies, as well as events of weather, including rain, snow, and wind. Through them, the LORD
17
Lost Treasures of the Gods governs the Earth’s seasonal change: spring, summer, winter, and fall. Their extraordinary energies make them powerful and unmovable. They are ranked sixth in the ascending order of the hierarchy. Powers maintain the border between Heaven and Earth. These angelic beings are shaped with brightly colored, hazy fumes of orange, reds, and yellows. Their appearance is blurry to the naked eye. They’re known for wearing a crown and a jasper-encrusted scepter. Jasper is the symbolic stone of the Elite Guard to the Celestial Host. They are charged with guarding the four corners of the universe. They are the first major line of defense, dispensing any threat to the Celestial Kingdom. Powers are warrior angels. They will defend the heavens until the end. Powers warrior angels are co-equals to the Dominions and Virtues. They’re the brain trusts who serve as advisers and policy planners to Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh. Their colors are blackgreen and their faces are gold. Their task is to work with the Seraphim and the Rulers and Authorities to implement the LORD’s policies for the universe. They guard the gati between the two realms, ensuring that incoming souls that leave the mortal world reach the Jannatu ‘chaplet (beautiful place) to await the LORD’s judgment. They are a major line of defense when it comes to protecting the gati. Known as The Gavel, Rulers and Authorities are a very specific band of angels. They consult and collaborate alongside of the Seraphim and Powers. They are equal in power and authority to the Powers and Dominions. Both are under the guidance of the Seraphim. They are responsible for writing the documents and doctrines of the LORD, bringing His word into law. As a monarch, Rulers and Authorities exercise the rules according to the law of Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, The Lord of Host. Rulers and Authorities have the legal power to enforce, engage, and execute the law of Lord Ehyeh, and they are given the right to determine, adjudicate, or settle issues or disputes and have jurisdiction over the well-being of the cosmos. The year is 7 B.C. . . . The camp was quiet as the twilight gave way to the dawn. Those who lived amongst the tents were just waking up. Abram could hear the sounds of blankets being tossed a side as the shepherds readied themselves for the coming day. Abram, who was about fifteen, was already hard at work, tending his family’s flocks, ten herds of thirty animals. “My son, I have been thinking about moving the family to Canaan. With you being ill, I do not know if you can make that journey. Your brothers are getting older, and soon the youngest will seek to take a wife of his choice,” said Abram’s father to one of his other sons. “Father, when Abram takes a wife, I know that I will be better then. Could you wait until that time to move the family?” said Behera. His father, Abinai, agreed to stay until his youngest son took a wife. Nadav, the second eldest son, was about to marry his niece Iuniewe, the daughter of Manias, his uncle. In their tradition, it was customary to marry within the family, to keep the bloodline pure. Yet, they were never full-blooded family members. They were half-brother/sister born of the same father, but with different mothers. Watching over the flocks along with his mother, Abram and some of the herdsmen were hard at work tending to the sheep. Their herds consisted of sheep, goats, and cattle. The early morning was his favorite time of day, because it was cool then. That’s when Abram would take the herds out to graze. Accompanying him on this day were four herds of sheep, three herds of
18
Lost Treasures of the Gods goats, and three herds of cattle. His mother and a few manservants came along for protection, while his father stayed behind in camp to protect their riches. His family was amongst the richest in the land.
CHAPTER 5 Abram led the herd down into the valley, because the flat plains were dry from the lack of rain this season. He led them into the valley because there was plenty of grass to sustain the livestock. Abram, with his staff, walked through the flocks, surveying the numbers. He was always ready to lend a hand when necessary. One of the servants helping him noticed that something was on his mind. The look upon his face indicated that he was deep in thought. “Master . . . Is everything all right with you?” “Everything is fine,” Abram answered. But the expression remained on his face. As he carefully maneuvered through the herd of sheep, he stopped for a brief moment. Captured by his thoughts, he reminisced over the images that had occurred some ten years earlier. He reflected back on the day when he’d been sitting outside of his tent so long ago, and he’d heard a voice calling out to him. “Abram,” said the voice. Looking to his right, he saw nothing. The voice called out to him again, “Abram.” He looked to his left and saw nothing. Scratching his head, he was sure that he heard someone calling his name. He got up and began to walk away from the tent and went about ten yards before he stopped. He looked back, only to see that his tent was gone, and the only thing around him was sand. He called out to his mother. He waited for a response, but there was no one there to answer. He squinted, his eyes because the sunlight was so bright that day. He put his hand over his eyes to block the sun’s rays. As he did that, he saw a dark figure standing in the distance. The stranger called out to him, “Abram, come to me.” A frightened Abram stood still, not moving even a little bit. He couldn’t see the stranger’s face. For a moment, he thought he knew this man. The stranger looked familiar to him. The stranger called out to him again, “Come to me, child. I will not hurt thee!” “Who are you?” Abram asked. The stranger stood in silence until darkness consumed the day. Slowly, the moon’s light pierced the few clouds. The retreating shadow gave way to the radiant light that streamed from the moon. As the light beamed down, it shone on the stranger, revealing his face. Abram was startled at the stranger’s physical appearance. The night light revealed the mangled face of a creature, and not of a man. Frightened, Abram covered his eyes, while calling out to his parents. He turned and ran in the direction of their tent. Startled by the child’s cry, the creature quickly vanished into the night air. Hearing her son’s cries, his mother ran out of the tent to see what the commotion was all about. She found her son crouched down with his hands over his face. Frantically, Nushuri helped him to his feet saying, “Abram, Abram! What’s wrong? Did somebody hurt you? Are you all right? What
19
Lost Treasures of the Gods happened?” Too frightened to speak, Abram sat there crying, refusing to remove his hands. His mother called for the boy’s father, Abinai. Hearing the cries of his wife, he ran over to see what was troubling her. A small crowd had formed around Abram and his mother. The people, hearing the commotion, had come to see what was wrong. Running toward the crowd, Abram’s father made his way through, shoving some people aside. He finally saw his wife trying to comfort his son. Quickly, he went to see what was wrong. Hearing his father’s voice, Abram stood and embraced him. There was a look of sheer terror on his face as he held his father tight, crying. “Don’t let it take me! Don’t let it take me!” “Don’t let what take you?” asked his father. “That thing!” “What thing?” Abram pointed in the direction where the creature had appeared to him. They looked in the direction, where he pointed they saw nothing but trees, off in the distance. His father told him that it would be all right, he would not let anything happen to him. Both parents carefully examined Abram’s physical appearance. Seeing nothing wrong, they escorted him back to the tent. As they got back, one of the villagers looked at the other, saying, “What an imagination he has.” They laughed. As the two men laughed, some of the other villagers sensed that something wasn’t quite right. They went over to the altar to prepare a sacrifice to God. While being led back to the tent, Abram looked over his shoulder and he saw that the creature was gone. Later that night, he was plagued with nightmares of the thing that frightened him, the face that taunted him, and the voice calling out, “Come to me.” He cried out, “NOOOOO!” Instantly, he was awakened from the dream. The memory of that event only lasted for a moment. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, he continued walking among the sheep, making sure that they are all accounted for. Standing on a small hilltop, he looked across the plains at the herd. Thinking to himself, he said aloud, “There seems to be a charge in the air today.” Abinai walked around checking the tents of his people. He was a skilled tanner, and he had taken it upon himself to make sure that all the tents were in good shape. The camp was just north from where Abram had settled. From where he’d been standing under an achamoth tree, Baalamus stepped out from the shadows. Unaware of demon’s presence, Abram’s father was enjoying his time alone. Baalamus entered Abinai’s body, temporarily taking control of it. Abinai called for his servant, Abdul-Azeem. He asked him to deliver a message to Abram for him. The servant did as his master ordered and went to deliver the message to his young master. Baalamus exited Abinai’s body and vanished, leaving a puff of grey smoke in his wake. Abinai shook his head, because he had blacked out for just a moment. Twenty minutes later, while surveying the area, Abram saw Abdul-Azeem approaching. Abram went to meet him, and upon their meeting, the servant bowed before him in a show of respect, saying, “Young master.” “Yes,” said Abram. “Get up and speak.” He rose to his feet and began delivering the message.
20
Lost Treasures of the Gods “Your father has requested that you move the herd down the riverbed on the east side, because there is some fresh green grass there that the flock would surely enjoy.” Abram turned his head and looked in the direction of riverbed, some miles away. He looked back at messenger and told him to go back and say to his father that he would do as he said. As the manservant left, he began leading the herd in the direction of riverbed. While walking to the riverbed, he began speaking to himself, as though he were talking to someone else. “You know . . . It’s been a long time since I’ve thought about that dream.” “How long ago it has been since you had those dreams?” “Oh, I was just barely six then.” “For real . . . Stop lying.” “I’m not lying.” “What did your mother say?” Before answering his own question, he stopped for a moment. His throat was becoming dry from the self-talk. He pulled out his wineskin to take a drink of water. After he was done refreshing his tongue and quenching his thirst, he stared across the hot plains to see how much further they had to go. The heat waves obscured his vision. Being accustomed to heat, he peered squinting through the heat wave where he could see the edge of the riverbed. Through the years of hard labor and the success of his family, there was one image that remained vivid and plagued his mind— that one particular moment when he’d stood a few feet away from a tall dark figure. Since that time, he had experienced many restless nights. Sometimes his sleepless nights came one after another, or at other times, they would occur all in a row for a week, until exhaustion took hold of him, and then he would sleep soundly. Over time, he learned how to replace those dreadful thoughts with pleasant ones, like thoughts of his family, friends, and his mother’s stew. His carefree nature returned to him as he led the herd down to tasty green pasture by the riverbed, as his father had requested. While doing so, he kept a sharp eye out for thieves and predators. It was not rare for thieves to come and to try to steal a shepherd’s livestock. However, today was a quiet day. To him it was a relief, so he didn’t think about it for long. He continued enjoying the pleasant day. Abdul-Azeem returned to Abinai, telling him that he had delivered the message to Abram and that his son had sent him a blessing. Not sure what to make of that, he looked at his servant as though he must be mistaken. “I never told him to go do anything.” Thinking nothing more of it, Abinai resumed his walk around the tents. In the distance, Abram saw Tou, another of his father’s servants, approaching with a few items in his hands. He was carrying bread, dried meat, and fresh water. After reaching Abram, he said, “Young master, the days are long, and your father wants to make sure that you are fed before bringing the herd back, so I have brought some food for you and your mother.” Tou handed him food and water. He takes the meal and sends his servant on his way. He began to eat some of the bread and meat as he leisurely walked with the herd. After a moment or two, he noticed that the riverbed was only a few yards away, so he sat down to eat some more of the meal. After eating, he relaxed for a moment, sitting with his back against a tree. With the herds now in greener pastures, he felt himself starting to drift off to sleep. He stood, stretching, trying to get his blood circulating through his body, when something, in the distance caught his attention. “What is that?” He squint his eyes, trying to see through the heat waves. He placed his hand above his
21
Lost Treasures of the Gods eyebrows, blocking the sun’s glare. He saw what appeared to be a shadowy figure walking toward him. As the figure got closer and closer, four more images emerged from behind the figure, forming a V shape. “I must be tired,” Rubbing his eyes, he saw that the strange figures were still approaching. He picked up his staff, which had been lying against the tree. As the five figures approached, they merged back into one. “What was that?” Abram thought. He rubbed his eyes, as if something were in them. His vision, which was slightly blurred, began clearing up, but now the figures were gone. Abram turned around, only to be startled by a stranger, who was now standing in front him. He thrust his staff forward, keeping the stranger at bay. As fast as Abram could blink his eyes, the stranger was gone. Then the stranger reappeared behind him and coughed. Startled, Abram turned, and swiftly moved back. “How did you get behind me?” He was quite annoyed at being taken by surprise. “Young master, please forgive me. My intention was not to frighten you,” “You did not!” said Abram sharply. The wry smile on the stranger’s face made him uneasy. “I have walked a great distance, my lord. May I share a place here with you under these trees?” Not knowing who this stranger was, he cautiously moved back, motioning for the man to take a seat. At the boys request, the man sat down. For a brief moment, Abram changed his focus as he looked out at the flock where they made their way alongside the riverbed.
CHAPTER 6 “Where are the others that I saw walking with you?” “Others? There art no others, only I,” “Why would you be traveling alone? I’m positively sure that I saw someone else with you. What sort of deception are you trying to put over on me?” “My lord . . . I deceive thee not. My name is Baalamus. I have been traveling alone all around the countryside, trying to find a place to settle.” “All alone?” asked Abram, not believing his story, and he eyed Baalamus suspiciously. “Not quite,” Baalamus said, with a slight smirk. “Others are here in close proximity. I guess thou could say, we are scouting the area,” he said, with a toothy grin. Out of nowhere, a foul stench began to dominate the air around them. “Peeeeew! Something must have died,” said Abram, waving his hand in front of his face. He looked over at Baalamus once again. “Why art thou looking at me? I have nothing to do with this stench that thou smell,” said Baalamus, while waving his hand in front of his face. Baalamus rose from his sitting position and stretched. He reached out his hand, offering the friendly gesture of a handshake. Abram reached back to accept, but before they could make 22
Lost Treasures of the Gods contact, he heard a thunderous sound, unlike anything that he had ever heard before. As he looked out at the sheep, a small, dark cloud suddenly appeared. The cloud grew in size as it loomed overhead. The wind rapidly picked up and began blowing violently. Oblivious to Abram, within the cloud sat Balaadime, who had awaited Baalamus’ signal. The order of creation continues . . . Principalities are first in the third triad. They are third in the hierarchy and they are ranked seventh in the order of the angelology. Principalities are a ruling-class of magnificent angels, angels that function as heavenly messengers of the LORD. They lead others in a princely fashion, and they are given more freedom than their lesser counterparts to come and go as necessary. They are also responsible for carrying out divine acts concerning their area of jurisdiction. They are guardian angels whose task is to manage the duties of the angels and to protect living creatures outside of the heavenly realm. They are empowered with strength beyond that of any natural creature that Lord Ehyeh has created. Their study consists of announcing divine things, as commanded by the LORD. Second in the third triad are Archangels, and they are leaders of the divine army. They are given the name Archangels, because of their nature, suited for defense. They are covered in full body armor, including breastplates. They are the Angels of the Lord, Malakh Yahweh. Archangels are a celestial race of angels that possess untold supernatural power and are a first rank fighting force. In battle, they are backed up by the Powers, Dominions, and Principalities to bring a quick end to any threat to the Celestial Kingdom. When these four schemas unite, they are an impregnable force to be reckoned with. They’re ranked eighth in the order. They are charged with overseeing the duties of the lower angels, and they can speak by the authority of the LORD, whom they represent. Their celestial rank is just above the lowest in the angelic order of the angelology. They are second to last in the celestial hierarchy. Finally, are those who represent one of the eleven great creative schemas in the order. Created and fashioned from light, pure and bright, these creatures are known as angels. They are ninth in the order of the hierarchy, and fourth in the third triad. They concern themselves with the affairs of all living things in the universe. They are spiritual beings, presiding in the solar system of the Second Heaven. These beings are a medium of the LORD's power; they were created to execute the LORD's will. They are the gateway for information, knowledge, and communications as the LORD’s messengers. They reside inside the LORD’s court, sitting in council with Him. Known as His "Holy Ones," they are lowest in the order of angels in the angelology. Within this band of angels is another clan of a different sect. They are small in stature, bright and radiant. Because of their abnormally short height, they are dubbed as Arch Yinpiniels. Arch Yinpiniels are an extended group of angels. Their sizes range from the very tiny (the size of a thimble), up to the size of a three-month-old human child. Their strength rivals anything created on the Earth. Yinpiniels are able to influence the present and foresee the future. Their radiant light makes their fairy-like appearance pleasant and desirable. They are capable of possessing any animal on the Earth, but they are unable to take human form. They are also masters of illusion. These angels control the gateway between the natural world and the spiritual realm, opening and closing it as they sees fit. As a whole, they are
23
Lost Treasures of the Gods known for gathering around the Throne of God, singing hymns directly in His ear. They also attend to the animals and plants on the Earth. Angels, having no physical existence, are known as benevolent beings. After giving names to His divine platoon, Lord Ehyeh looked at all of His legions of angels who prostrated themselves before Him. From among them, He selected the Seraphim to minister unto Him concerning all His affairs. Next, He looked in the direction of the Illuminiels. He sought out one to be the master conductor of the heavenly choir. God selected a vibrant, bright Illuminiel, whose light shone like carnelian, chrysolite, and amethyst out of the platoon. The LORD looked at the beauty of this magnificent creature and called him over. Standing nineteen feet eleven inches tall, the Illuminiel prostrated himself before the Creator as He said to him, “Ahhhh, thou Illuminiel art the most awe-inspiring creature of all that I have created. As thou standeth before me and these witnesses, from this point on, thou shalt be known as Lucifer, Chief of the Illuminiels. Every precious stone is thy adornment. I have created thee with outstretched shielding wings. Thou shalt reside on the Holy Mountain of the LORD. Thy purpose is to stand behind my throne and lead the choir in heavenly songs, singing praises unto thy Creator. Among stones of fire thou shalt walk. I find thee to be blameless in all thy ways. Thou art the most beautiful of all angels that I have created.” After accepting his new role as leader of the Illuminiels, Lucifer glided back to his platoon. As the LORD walked down a few flights of stairs, He commanded all of the Archangels to step forth. As the assembly gathered in the presence of the Almighty, the Archangels prostrated themselves before Him. Standing before them with scepter in hand, in a thunderous voice, Lord Ehyeh commanded the assembly to arise. He reached behind his back, placing his hand under the train of His garment, bringing forth the Scroll of Peneuma (Crystalline Spirits). 2 With the scroll in hand, the LORD willed it open to reveal the sacred names of the Jelani. The names that were written on the scroll were Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Chamuel, Zadkiel, Jophiel, Raguel, Zerachiel, Remiel, Simiel, Orifiel, Selaphiel, Jegudiel, and Barachiel. He read off the sacared names out loud. As each name was being called, a piece of the scroll would break off. This continued until Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh read off the final name. Fifteen individual pieces now hovered in the air. Lord Ehyeh looked at each of the Archangels and said to them, “If the Peneuma finds thy hearts not to be pure, thou shalt instantly be destroyed. However, if the Peneuma finds thy hearts to be pure, then you fifteen shall be given an eternal flame that will never be extinguished. Do you accept this fate?” All the Archangels said in unison, “Let thy will be done.” Lord Ehyeh continued, saying in a thunderous voice, pointing to each of them, “As you stand before me and these witnesses, you fifteen Archangels shall bear the names Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Chamuel, Zadkiel, Jophiel, Raguel, Zerachiel, Remiel, Simiel, Orifiel, Selaphiel, Jegudiel and Barachiel for all eternity. You shall be heads of the lower ward in the angelology. Your task will be to guard the Throne of the Creator, carrying out divine decrees, as one.”
2
Crystalline Spirits: Are microscopic beings that are cousins to the Arch Yinpiniels. The only thing is Crystallians have a transparent like
appearance. They resemble a white dwarf star; their light is as brilliant as their larger counterparts.
24
Lost Treasures of the Gods All fifteen angels bowed before the LORD. The Seraph ∆ικαίωµα said amen twice, while the others continued saying, “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD ALMIGHTY!” They all nodded their heads, signifying to the LORD that they were in agreement with His decision. Pleased, Lord Ehyeh turned and walked back up the staircase, and in a voice that shook the heavens, He said, “Let the commixing ceremony begin!” From each of the fifteen broken pieces of the Peneuma, two thin, strand-like tentacles protruded. The strands gripped and wrapped themselves around the arms of the Archangels. The tentacles produced lekamytes, smaller worm-like beings that scintillate and penetrate the Archangels’ bodies, making their way to the center of each of their hearts, searching for impurity. They struggled to keep a straight face, because the movement of the lekamytes felt like tiny fingers tickling them. The desire of their hearts caused them to hold their position, allowing the lekamytes to fulfill their mission. After several minutes, they exited the bodies of the Archangels. In doing so, they dissolved into a bright stream of light, returning to its original shape. Upon completing its task, the scroll remained intertwined with them. Finding no impurity, it began to refine the hearts of the Archangels. Water wrapped around small bolts of lightening, began to emerge from the center of each piece of the Peneuma. The bolts struck the Archangels, hitting them squarely in the chest. With the brilliance of many stars in a small space, their light was sealed within their being forever. After the ceremony was completed, each piece of the Peneuma disintegrated into several clouds of silver-gray smoke, and upon vanishing left sweet scent of myrrh lingering behind. With Lord Ehyeh looking on from His throne, all fifteen Archangels kneeled before Him with their heads bowed. The LORD scanned the platoon, searching for a leader. He selected a powerful, magnificent being known as Michael, who stood seventeen feet eleven and a half inches tall, with a gold like metallic, razor-sharp double-edged sword, to be the head of the Arches. God dubbed Raphael as the healer. He anointed Gabriel as the messenger, and Uriel as the bringer of light. After accepting his role as lead commander, Michael commanded his platoon to stand together with him. As he thrust his sword in the air, the Archangels chanted, “We are the Guardians of the Heavens and of the Earth. We shall defend both worlds at all cost.” All of the other legions of angels cheered and clapped their hands, while some hovered above the Arches, singing songs, with God looking on. The glory of the LORD illuminated, signifying that He was very pleased. After the ceremony was completed, the Creator dismissed the Celestial Host from His presence. As he did so, He saw that all that he had created up to this point was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. The next day, the LORD created an abundance of moving creatures that had life: fowl to fly above the Earth in the open firmament of Heaven, great whales and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, the male and female after their kind. He also created every winged fowl that flies or walks after his kind. He created the male and female after their kind; and the LORD saw that it was good, and He blessed them saying, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the Earth.”

Lost Treasures of the Gods
CHAPTER 7 The evening and the morning were the fifth day. During the cool of the day, the Lord created all sorts of living creatures. He created cattle, beasts, and creeping things. The LORD created the male and female after its kind. In the meantime, as the LORD was creating the creatures, the Terrestrials returned from the gati. He told the Terrestrials to go amongst the herd and touch four animals. The Terrestrials went out amongst the living creatures, trying to decide which ones to touch. From amongst the herd, they walked and touched an ox, a lion, and an eagle. They had a very difficult time agreeing on the fourth and final beast. As they lay a hand on the animals, their distorted faces began to take on the appearance of the creatures. The first image to come into view was the face of an ox. They chose it because the ox is a strong and focused creature. The second image was that of the brave and fearless lion. The third image to come into sight was that of the swift and powerful eagle. They could not decide on the fourth creature to touch, so the fourth face remained distorted, with its geometrical shape intact. Like their smaller siblings, the faces of the Cherubim simultaneously took shape as well. Standing on fertilized ground, LORD Ehyeh saw the need for a sanctuary to house all His creations. So He planted a garden eastward, and He named it Eden. Out of the ground, Lord Ehyeh made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. Not too far in the distance, the LORD planted two trees in the midst of the garden. One tree He called Etz haChayim, and the other tree He called El Árbol de la Ciencia.3 Looking out at the garden, the LORD saw that it was good. The natural landscape consisted of all types of plants, animals, and microorganisms, with all of the physical factors of the environment. An elaborate and complicated ecosystem was now in place. Telepathically, He called for the Celestial Host to stand before Him. Like a herd of charging wilderbeast, an undetermined number of angels filled the heavenly sky, descending upon the Earth. As they presented themselves before the LORD, the animals came as well. He informed them of the need for a keeper of the garden, with the Seraphim looking on, he said, “I have given life to everything that I have created. As you can see, the heavenly garden needs a husbandman to watch over it. What do you think about a keeper to watch over what I have created?” After hearing the LORD’s statement, the Seraphim decided that it would be a good thing to create a being to watch over the Earth. The Seraph ∆ικαίωµα stepped forth to inform the Celestial Host of their intention to create a new being. After He was done briefing, the Lord of Host stepped up to make His announcement: “We have decided to create a new creature. A new breed that’s smart and intelligent. It shall obey the Lord, serve the Lord, and commune with the Lord. This creature shall be different from everything that I have created. This new creation shall dwell on the Earth and tend to the needs of the Earth. Powers, Principalities, and Archangels, your task will be to watch over this creature that I shall bring forth.”

Lost Treasures of the Gods Deep down, curiosity began to creep into Lucifer’s mind as he pondered about the LORD’s new creation. Without understanding, Lucifer, standing next to Michael, leaned over, and asked him, “What is this new creation?” Michael whispered back, “I guess one of us. Whatever it is, it must be a special creature.” “Why doest thou say that?” asked Lucifer. “Because God is going to make this creature the keeper of the Earth,” As they turned their ears to the LORD, they saw Raphael raising a finger over his lips, displaying the shhhh sign as he continued to listen intently to Lord Ehyeh. “I shall make this new creation from the belly of the Earth. It will be fashioned from our image in our likeness. We have agreed to give this creature dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, over every beast and thing that creeps upon the Earth.” As the sun’s rays intensified in the heat of the day, Lord Ehyeh dismissed the Celestial Host, sending them back to their lair while He remained on the Earth. The Seraphim also departed from the Earth, returning to the mansion. Guarding the entrance to the throne room were two powerful angels from the Cherubim sect, known as Ofanium and Haayoth. As the Seraphim arrived back at the mansion, they were greeted by Ofanium and Haayoth, who escorted them into the throne room. After entering the throne room, the four Seraphim took up their positions around God’s throne, while Ofanium and Haayoth returned to their posts. The eternal flames of the Seraphim burned continuously with the zeal. The doors to the throne room suddenly burst open. Like two spinning discs, Ofanium and Haayoth re-entered the throne room, ushering in the LORD. The Terrestrials, Illuminiels, and Seraphims, bowed before the Him, saying: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD ALMIGHTY” As the LORD took His seat on the throne, He ordered Ofanium and Haayoth to leave Him. The two Cherubim’s, vanished from the throne room, leaving Lord Ehyeh, the Terrestrials, the Illuminiels, and the Seraphims, to discuss the final preparation of Creation. Hoping that he would get some answers, Lucifer remained quiet and listened. After their brief deliberation, the Lord dismissed the Terrestrials and Illuminiels from His presence. Both sects of angels left Lord Ehyeh without hesitation. After the Terrestrials and Illuminiels were gone, the Seraphims continued ministering to the LORD about His new Creation. One lunar cycle during the cool of the day, Lord Ehyeh, along with ∆ικαίωµα and Αριστερός, descended to the Earth from Heaven. With His feet firmly planted on the surface of the Earth, He stretched out both hands, raising them to the heavens. As He did this, countless numbers of small droplets of mist began to rise upward from the surface of the Earth. 1822 A.D . . . Fire blazed in the center of the village. The women prepared the evening meals for their families, while the men played their instruments, singing songs of their ancestors. Jacob lived in a tribe full of cloth weavers, pottery makers, hunters, and musicians. They were the best this land had to offer. Other villages came here to trade all the time, as well as to listen to the music of his people. He sat outside his dwelling, watching the younger children playing, including the members of his family, as his mother prepared a meal from the wild boar that he and his father
27
Lost Treasures of the Gods brought back from their day of hunting. The sun was now setting; its brightly colored hues painted the evening sky. His father went to speak with the village elders about letting his son go on the hunt alone. It was customary for a young boy making this transition into manhood to go on a solitary hunt. Jacob loved to hunt; he was blessed with the gifts of precise timing and accuracy. This made him a skilled archer. He had other gifts as well, but hunting was what he lived for. He was the best storyteller in the whole village and, to his knowledge, of the neighboring tribes as well. His father boasted that he could talk his way out of anything, and Jacob would have to agree. He also has a flare for practical jokes; however, he was usually the only one to find them funny. He was the second eldest child in his family. His older sister was married and lived in another village, twenty miles away. He missed his sister and thought of her often. She was seventeen years old when she gave birth to her first child. At fourteen, he was ready for his second passage into manhood. His first experience had occurred at the age of five, when all males had to be circumcised. Standing outside of the council meeting hut, he could hear some of the words the elders spoke to his father, so he moved further away from the meeting hut, trying not to listen to what was being said. With the majority of the villagers gathering around their own huts speaking to one another, it was hard for him to hear their conversation, which he was glad of. Jacob heard the sounds of clacking sticks hitting together, and clicking tongues, which signified that the meeting had been adjourned. The chief elder patted Jacob’s father on the back and sent him home to break the news to his family. As he exited the hut, Jacob’s father called him over. The boy was very anxious to hear what the elders had decided. As he approached his father, he said, “Please tell me what the elders said.” “We shall talk about this over dinner,” replied his father. Quietly, the two made their way to the hut. Approaching their dwelling place, they paused briefly to take in the aroma of a hot cooked meal, waiting to be devoured. His mother greeted both of them with a gentle hug. She told them to go wash up for dinner. After washing their hands, they sat down to an evening meal. They gave thanks to their gods for providing them with a place to call home and a hot meal. Uncertain about his future, Jacob nonetheless enjoyed the delightful taste of his mother’s cooking. During dinner, his mother asked his father how the meeting went, with their son looking on, while still eating, his father announced the long awaited news to the family. He said, “The elders have all agreed that it’s time for Jacob to hunt alone.” Jacob stopped eating and slowly looked up from his bowl with the biggest smile anyone has ever seen on him. He got up, beat his chest, and said, “I am becoming a man.” He walked over and hugged his father, smiling and laughing. His father told them that the ritual would begin the next day. His mother’s eyes, upon hearing the news, swelled up in with tears. He was to go to the north region and journey for three days. He should return with enough meat to feed them all. They all sat down to finish their evening meal. When they were done, the women went about cleaning up, and Jacob’s father called to him from outside. “Jacob,” said his father. “Yes, Father,” “It’s time for you to prepare yourself for the ritual hunt, the blaha-de (bla ha day),” said his father. His son said enthusiastically,
28
Lost Treasures of the Gods “I have been looking forward to this day!” His mind raced with anticipation, begging to try out his skills. He developed a feeling in the pit of his stomach like the one he got when he’d first gone hunting with the men. His mother and father talked and laughed, while he listened and watched. His father looked over at him, and said, “One day you will have a family of your own, with your future wife, Yamahu (Ya may u).” His mother interrupted. “She’s eleven now. When she is of age, her parents will present her to you.” He looked over at them with a blank stare. Every now and then, their families would gather and talk about the future of their children. This made both kids uncomfortable. She just smiled and looked away. When she looked at Jacob, he could see that she was shy and didn’t like to hear talk about them getting married. He couldn’t agree with her more. He knew that unless something happened to one of them, their fate was settled. Even at eleven, she was very beautiful, and every now and then someone caught him staring at her. Whenever they teased him about her, they said, "She is a beautiful young woman." He’d just shrugged his shoulders and replied, “She will do.”
CHAPTER 8 Yet, in his heart, he thought the same way about her as they did. When the women would talk about her, she wouldn’t say a thing, except that she didn’t want to get married. She entertained the thought of marriage as being practical. She had been told that she had to have a husband who would hunt and take care of her. She was taught that a woman must cook, clean, mend clothes, make baskets, and have children. That’s what her mother, sisters, and aunts did. Sometimes they would fish, but not often. These were the things that they discussed when the families were together. Jacob’s father and Yamahu’s father were both sitting near the fire. He joined them. His father began to tell him the story of when he had to go on the blahade. “Ahhhh, I remember the first time I went on the hunt alone. I was the same age as you, my son. Hmmm . . . maybe a few months older. I was so excited at having the chance to prove that I was a man and a warrior,” said Monaupo. A broad smile crossed his father’s lips as he reminisced. Jacob settled down to listen to his father, who was a skilled storyteller, as well. His name, Monaupo (Mon-oh- Poe), means tongue like rapid water. The name fit him well. His father continued speaking about how he slew his first wild game to feed the whole village. Jokingly, Jacob said, “How many people were in the village then, five or ten?” Opuniahay, who is Yamahu’s father, laughed loudly. “Always kidding around, huh Jacob?” “We will miss that sense of humor while you are away.” Looking up into the heavens he thought how great it would be to hunt in the vastness of it all. What wild things could there be up there for a mighty hunter such as myself? His
29
Lost Treasures of the Gods imagination ran wild on his self-imposed question. He often wondered if there was anything up there at all. Are there other places like this place?, On another world perhaphs? He thought to himself. Such thoughts plagued him on more than one occasion. He couldn’t help but feel that there had to be more to creation. The stars were unusually bright on this night, like diamonds reflecting the sunlight. Though they didn’t have much use for such rocks, many people came to this land looking for these things. He didn’t really understand the importance of such things, but he had seen them, and he knew how they brilliantly shined and sparkled. They were pretty, but not practical. At least not for his people. But that is what the stars reminded him of tonight, those diamonds. “It's getting late, son,” his mother said. “It’s time to come in and rest. You have a long journey in front of you tomorrow.” He nodded, and tried to go to sleep, but sleep was far away from him. All he could think about was going on the hunt, and what an adventure it would be for him and his best friend, Feather. His mind raced, imagining all sorts of scenarios, like watching water buffalos and giraffes, and observing lionesses as they hunt. He also thought about stalking a herd of gazelles, and running across the plains as though he were being chased by hyenas. So many things raced across his mind until finally he fell asleep. He arose well before daybreak and gathered his things. His mother was awake, preparing for the coming morning. She had a meal waiting for him to take with him on his journey. Looking around, he asked where his father was. His mother informed him that he had left that morning about an hour earlier to take care of some village affair. He kissed his mother and asked her to tell his father that he would see him in a few days and to keep well, not knowing his father was already back and out walking the perimeter of the village, happy and worried about his child. He clutched an item in his hand. Jacob’s mother smiled and hugged him, and he walked out of the tent. He got on his horse, and before he took off toward the northern region, his father called out to him, “Wait my son! I have something for you. This is a special wineskin I made for you to take on your quest. It will keep your water cool.” He hugged his father and promised not to let him down. Climbing on his horse, he said, “Let’s ride, Feather.” He nudged her sides gently. Off they went, exiting the village. The villagers sang warrior songs as they prepared for a three-day celebration. At the same time, the women sang songs of jubilee, and some wove special garments. The whole village was singing and celebrating, and when he returned, there would be eating, drinking, dancing, and stories of other blaha-de adventures. The women ground meal for baking bread, while the men mixed mud for making body paint. Through all the excitement, the elders of the village quietly spoke of the possibility that the one who had left might not return. Jacob felt carefree, alone but for Feather and his trusty bow. The journey was both exciting and frightening for him. The day was beautiful, with blue skies and a few wispy clouds above. He couldn’t explain why the colors of the plain were so much brighter today, just as the stars had been the night before. Even though there was ample game close to the village, a blahde was to take place further away, so the young warrior could use the skills he had attained thus far. Those included survival techniques. “Not too much is going on out here, Feather.”.
30
Lost Treasures of the Gods They passed through a small village along the way. The inhabitants of the village knew him because they often came to his village to trade. He stopped long enough to replenish his water supply for the three-day journey, and the villagers gave him some dried figs to take along. With the blessings of the villagers, Jacob exited the village to continue his journey. After riding for a few hours, He stopped by a watering hole so Feather could get something to drink. While his companion drank her fill, Jacob sat down under a large tree to eat some of the food that his mother had prepared for him. While doing so, he thought about his family and wondered what everyone was doing back in the village. He looked over and saw Feather grazing on some leaves nearby. Already he missed them. Fed and well rested, he gathered his things and whistled for Feather. They set off once again on their journey. It was early in the afternoon, and the sun was parked at midday. It was now warmer, and the day seemed to be moving on slowly. It was becoming breezy. As the warm breeze began to grow in force, Jacob looked out across the deserted plain. Small dirt devils were twirling several miles away. In the distance, he saw signs that a windstorm was approaching. “Maybe we can outrun it,” he thought out loud. With a nudge from his heels, he took his horse in the opposite direction. He commanded Feather to ride like the wind, because of the approaching storm. Looking back, he saw that the storm had picked up speed and was almost upon them. He encouraged Feather to run more swiftly. “Run, Feather, like you are trying to catch tomorrow!” he whispered in her ear. Feather quickened her pace. Feather’s long, quickened stride put some distance between them and the storm. Jacob looked up into the sky and saw a mass of swirling clouds. A whirlwind began to form above him, with streaks of lightening in the middle of it. As it approached the horse and rider, he pulled on the reins of his trusty steed, maneuvering her movements. Feather’s hooves barely touched the ground; she was now running at top speed. The funnel had moved behind them, and was chasing them. “RUN, MY FRIEND!” Jacob shouted to his horse, as they galloped along. Feather had now put some distance between them and the whirlwind. Before they got too far ahead, however, the storm was once again upon them. Looking back, he could see obscure fingers emerging from the tunnel of the wind. What was that? Some spirit is trying to capture me. Winds fiercely whipped around them. He leaned down closer to Feather, urging her to go even faster. Quickly, Jacob grabbed his headscarf and wrapped it around his nose and mouth to keep the particles of dirt out of his lungs. Feather’s eyes glowed as she raced toward the caves. Jacob thought to himself, Good—I know this region. It’s the Valley of the Caves, and there are some caves just a little distance from here. They arrived in the familiar area where he knew the caves would provide them shelter. Fighting his way through the whipping debris spraying his face, he quickly located one that was big enough to hold him and his horse. They had left the whirlwind behind, and the shadowy fingers were gone. While entering the cave, he sensed a presence occupying the space. He said to Feather, “I have been in these caves before, and yet, it seems different today. Just like everything else seems just a bit unusual.” He heard the sound of dripping water in the distance, and so he led Feather deeper into the cave to investigate. He saw a light streaming into the cave through another opening. Near the opening, he saw a pool of fresh running water, fed by an underground spring, with a small
31
Lost Treasures of the Gods waterfall running down the side of the cave wall into the pool. Where did this spring come from? I didn’t see one in here before, he thought. Hmmm maybe someone dug a hole and found it. This cave was amazingly beautiful. It shimmered with iridescent flecks imbedded in the wall face. Feather leaned down to get a drink of water from the pool, and Jacob pulled out the wineskin his father had made for him, and went over to the waterfall to fill it up. Good thing, too. It was just about empty. The luminous rocks in the cave gave off just enough light that Jacob was able to see, once his eyes had adjusted to the darkness of the cave. He pulled out a piece of fresh fruit and gave it to Feather, who gladly accepted the sweet treat. No one knows how long a windstorm will last. Sometimes they come and go quickly. Sometimes they can last for hours at a time before stopping. After consuming a few of the figs, he searched for a place to rest. “Feather, I guess we can lie down here and rest until the storm passes us by.” Taking out his sleeping mat and a small pillow, he made himself comfortable. He lay down, yawning loudly and closing his eyes. He drifted off to sleep and began to dream. He dreamed, that he was, back home. His friends were playing on the outskirts of his village, dancing and telling a story about a time long ago when a stranger came to visit them, promising them new things to see and new adventures to behold. He was a mysterious figure that always lingered in the shadows. Jacob sat on a large stone with his legs crossed, watching the boys dance a warrior’s dance. The night was black; there were no stars or moonlight because of the thickness of the clouds, and there was a chill in the air. The sounds of haunting laughter filled the dark night. From the shadows, a voice said, “So, Jacob is your name now?” “Who said that?” said Jacob. From the shadows, the voice said, “You have chosen the name of the one who wrestled with the Lord until daybreak. That’s an interesting choice, if I may say so.” Looking around, Jacob saw nothing but the vast darkness. Howling wind blew through the cave. His senses, like a hunter’s, became acute. He listened as the winds carried the voice throughout the cave. Jacob was very aware of his surroundings. He said, “I know this is a dream.” Or was it? The Creation of man . . . Dense fog condensed into droplets of water, which watered the whole face of the ground. Lord Ehyeh kneeled to the ground, and with His hands, gathered soil from the surrounding area. He carefully sculpted man from the dust of the ground. He leaned down and breathed a long slow breath—the Spirit of Life—into the man’s nostrils. Moving through the hollow chambers of man’s anatomy, His spirit progressed through the empty vessel, where it began developing the cells that formed his skeletal structure. The Spirit of Life also formed and shaped his internal organs, muscles, tendons, skin cells, hair, and of course, his life blood.
CHAPTER 9
32
Lost Treasures of the Gods After completing the task, the Spirit of the Lord exited man’s body through his mouth in the form of warm air. With the blood of life coursing through his veins, the heart of man now beat with the rhythm of all life. Like a cool breeze in the heat of a summer day, air streamed from the nostrils of man. Satisfied with man’s progress, the LORD rose to His feet and softly called out to man. The voice of the LORD traveled deep into man’s ears, his eyes began to open, and he became a living soul. Lord Ehyeh tellipathicly called for the Seraphims. In a flash, the mighty angels stood in His presence. “I have decided to delay the creation of the female. I shall study this creature’s ways and manners. I shall monitor its behavior, all the while building a relationship with him.” Man rises to his feet with a blank expression on his face. He scanned his surroundings slowly and carefully. The LORD approached him, introducing Himself to the man. “I am the Supreme Lord of the Universe, and these are my Seraphims ∆ικαίωµα and Αριστερός. They are my ministers and my angels of light. I am their Creator, and the Creator of the Heavens, the Earth, and the entire host. I made thee as the crowning jewel of all of my creations.” Man saw all the land of the Earth before him. He continued to survey the area as Lord Ehyeh said to him, “I have given thee the Earth as thy domain, and I have given thee dominion over every living creature that roams the land, from the mighty elephants to the tiny parasitic wasp.” Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh led Adam to the edge where all land stops. He showed him the great waters, and He said to him, “Look out across the vastness of the great sea and tell me what thou behold.” Man paused for a moment, he looked to his left and then to the right, and finally he looked straight ahead. “I see a lot of substance before me. Is there any Earth (land) out there?” he asked. Lord Ehyeh replied, “No, there is not.” “Why didst thou bring me here?” “I brought thee here because I have given thee dominion over every creature in the sea. From the great whales of the deep to the tiniest sea plankton of all, sea creatures are also under thy domain.” The man turned to see all the living creatures of the sea before him. He slowly approached the sea and placed his hand in the water, and a small fish came to the surface as if to say hello, and the man smiled. Walking back to where they came from, Man sat down on the grassy knoll, and the animals began to approach him willingly. Lord Ehyeh watched him as he began to interact with the animals. The LORD looked at the Seraphims, smiled, and said, “He seems to be comfortable with his surroundings, and his interaction with the animals has pleased me.” “Yes, my Lord,” Both Seraphims agreed. Joyfully, Lord Ehyeh responded, “Behold, it is very good.” He turned to the man and said to him, “I am going to give thee a name, which thou shalt be, identified with and be recognized by for all time.” He excused Man from His presence for a moment, and as he walked away, the LORD admired his creation, and He turned to commune with the Seraphims about selecting a name for
33
Lost Treasures of the Gods him. The Creator pondered over what He should name this man that was made in their image, after their likeness. Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh turned to both Seraphim saying, “Man’s heart is in the right place, but his mind could become curious, like the Dominions that I have created. They both concern themselves with their very existence.” “All wise Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, why does man have thee so perplexed, my Lord?” asked ∆ικαίωµα, the Seraph on the right. “I have created him unlike no other creature in Heaven or on Earth. I fashioned him out of the miry clay, and it troubles me deeply,” said The Lord of Host. “Why is that, my Lord?” asked Aριστερός, the Seraph on the left. “I designed that creature to be solid in every phase. I sense that his weak point is his mind. It’s also the centerpiece of his soul. It will yearn for the things that it cannot have, and once he loses control over his thinking, he will be deceived into thinking that he is not like me.” Looking at the man, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh decided on a name for him. He said, “Being that man was taken from the Earth, I shall call him Adam.” The Lord of Host walked over to man, who was standing in the midst of the animals. In a soft still voice, He called out to him, “Adam.” Not understanding his name, man continued to be enthralled with the animals. Lord Ehyeh called out to the man more sternly, “Adam.” Hearing the voice of his Lord, the man turned and looked at Him. Lord Ehyeh summoned him to come nearer. “Yes, my Lord,” Lord Ehyeh responded in a fatherly voice, “I have given thee a name.” “What doest thou mean, Lord? What is a name?” He had no understanding of the term, but his eyes were filled with wonderment at the excitement of learning something new. Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh imputes man with wisdom as HE explained to him what the term meant. He said to him, “Thy name is a tag that thou will be identified by.” He gave an example: “My name is Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, which means the Lord of Host. I am Supreme LORD of the Celestial Host. We work together as one. What they see, I see; what I see, they see.” “What is my name, Lord? Lord Ehyeh said, “I have decided to name thee Adam. The meaning of thy name is Red Earth, because out of it was thou created.” Satisfied with his name, joy erupted from the depths of Adam’s soul as he repeated his name out loud: “My name is Adam! From out of the Earth I was taken! I and the Earth are one!” He smiled at the self-realization that had overtaken him. He jumped for joy as Lord Ehyeh stood watching his creation display his emotion. A short time after, Lord Ehyeh sent Adam into the shade, out of sight. He telepathically summoned all the Celestial Host to appear before Him. In the dark depth of the sky, numerous amber lights appeared in the distance. Like comets streaking through the night sky, the Celestial Host speeded toward the Earth. They all descended from the heavens to present themselves before The Lord of Host. From the all-wise Superiniels to the small and powerful Arch Yinpiniels. Every angelic being that Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh created came. After descending to the Earth, the Celestial Host joined
34
Lost Treasures of the Gods the animals and the creeping things as they all bowed before Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh with their faces toward the ground. In one voice, they said, “THOU ART WORTHY! THOU ART WORTHY! THOU ART WORTHY! THOU ARE WORTHY, LORD!” Lord Ehyeh commanded them to rise. Patiently, they waited to hear His decree. Standing on a mountain that He named Golgotha, Lord Ehyeh said, “The new creation is complete. I have given my creation dominion over everything here on the Earth, and he shall be keeper of this planet. He is the crowning jewel of all that I have created. I have given him a name like no other here on Earth. Thou shalt address him by this name for all eternity. I have decided to call this new creation Adam, because out of the Earth he was taken.” Hearing this bit of news, Lucifer’s countenance began to fall, as envy crept into his mind. Lord Ehyeh continued, “Thy task will be to watch over him in all his affairs, making certain that no harm should befall him. Thou shalt assist him, so that his work is not strenuous. Thou shalt help him with all his inquiries.” All of the Celestial Host remained quiet. After a few minutes of silence, The Lord of Host said aloud, “My beloved creation . . . Come forth!” From out of the shadows, man came forth to present himself before God. For a moment, a confused look covered all of their faces as this strange looking creature emerged from the shadows. They watched in amazement as the creature approached Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh. The creature’s makeup intrigued them very much. Never before has they seen anything like it. As man stood next to Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, Lord Ehyeh said to them, “As thou standth before Me, I present to thee . . . Adam.” The Celestial Host looked at the strange looking creature as it stands next to Lord Ehyeh. A gasp could be heard from the clan, and a puzzled look consumed their faces. Their minds clouded with confusion. As they all stood in silence, they carefully studied the new creature from a distance. After seeing their Lord embrace the new creature, they began to sing praises unto Him for His magnificent works. The sound of chimes rang throughout the heavens as all of Creation stood before man. In a voice that sounded like running water, Lord Ehyeh commands them to bow before him. All the animals, along with the Celestial Host, bowed before man. In the center of everything, Lucifer stood in defiance, with his arms crossed and wings outstretched, displaying a scowl. A look of humiliation could be seen overshadowing his face. Lucifer pondered why Lord Ehyeh would do such a thing, and questioned why the LORD made them servants of man. Michael, while bowing to the ground, looked over and saw that Lucifer’s countenance had fallen. Rising to his feet, Michael approached Lucifer, who was still standing in defiance to the LORD’s commandment. He said, “Lucifer, Chief of the Illuminiels. Why has thy countenance fallen? Why art thou not bowing as the Lord commanded thee to do, before His new creation?” “Art thou mad?” Lucifer began . . . “Thou wanteth me to participate in a celebration of vain glory?” He pauses for a moment and then continued, “Did thou not hear what the LORD said?” “Yes . . . I heard Him.”
CHAPTER 10
35
Lost Treasures of the Gods Lucifer’s light began to burn fiercely, with brilliantly colored amber, like a raging inferno. He angrily continued to speak. “Lord Ehyeh hath gone mad! The alignment of the Celestial Order is in danger of collapsing!” Hearing the commotion, Lord Ehyeh intervened in the heated discussion between the two angels. “Chief of the Illuminiels, why doest thou refuse to give ear to my commandment?” he asked sharply. Boldly, Lucifer walked toward the LORD, saying, “Creator. . . Thou cannot be serious!” Lucifer says as he laughs himself into a stupor. “Art thou rejecting the commandment of the Lord, seeing that I have given Adam dominion over all the Earth?” “No! I’m rejecting the silly notion that thou hast asked us to bow before this unworthy creature of dirt, which I will eat up with a verb and break down with a noun,” he responded sarcastically. “Keep thy tongue silent!” said Michael. “Bite thy own tongue,” said Lucifer, waving his wing at Michael while continuing. . . “I have every right to say what I feel,” he retorted. The LORD commanded Lucifer to return to his crystal lair to await judgment. “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh . . . Thou wanteth to punish me for not bowing to that infidel?” he replied. “Be silent! Do as the Lord saith and return to thy crystal lair!” said Michael, as he drew his doubled-edged sword. Angry, Lucifer turned to Michael with a grimace. Just beyond Michael’s shoulder, he saw the other Archangels approaching. Backing down from a confrontation, he said, “I shall give ear to thy tongue this time, but the next time I shall do no sort.” Angry with his Lord, Lucifer prepared to depart for his lair. But before he left, he secretly zapped the image of a nearby jackal that was still bowed to the ground. As he left, he mumbled under his breath, “You fools may bow before man, but I bow before no man!” Michael turned to ask Lord Ehyeh for His forgiveness, and softly, the Lord said, “Thy action is forgiven, valiant one. Thy courage has proven to me that thou art a formidable leader of thy sect. Go, and return to thy platoon.” Lord Ehyeh looked out among the Celestial Host. With a resounding voice, He asked, “Are there any others that share the same opinion as Lucifer?” Fearing the LORD’s wrath, they all replied no to His question. “All right then . . . Thou mayest return to thy lair and await My command. I shall remain here with Adam, instructing him concerning his duties as keeper of the Earth.” The Celestial Host praised their Lord and departed to their lairs. God stayed behind to give Adam instructions concerning his duties as keeper of the Earth. Then Lord Ehyeh took the man and placed him in the garden. He showed him how to dress and keep this place, which was now home. Lord Ehyeh said to him, “Of every tree in the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it. For on the day that thou eat thereof, thou shalt surely die.”
36
Lost Treasures of the Gods Remembering the confrontation between the angels, Adam asked Lord Ehyeh why that Celestial star refused to listen to His commandment. Lord Ehyeh told Adam that it was because he did not understand the reason why he, Adam, had been created. “He seems to be pretty angry with you,” “That’s nothing for you to concern yourself with. And besides, they all have the right to voice their concerns. As for you, I have walked with you to the edge of the great sea and across the plains of the Earth. I have been with you throughout your existence, and will be there for you through infinity.” Adam looked at him, smiling. Back at the crystal lair, Lucifer was still upset, pacing back and forth, grumbling to himself, saying, “Who doth Michael think he is? How doth he challenge me in front of God and the Celestial Host? Did the LORD not say that I . . . me, Lucifer . . . am the most beautiful of all that He created? I know I did hear Him correctly!” Clenching his fist, Lucifer continued his self-conversation . . . “Shall I not repay him for his defiance? I am going to make him regret his selfish ambition.” He left his crystal chamber, heading over to the Angels’ Chamber of Light. As he arrived at the entrance, he heard voices echoing from deep within the chasm of the lair. Quickly, he walked into the chamber, ready to address his comrades. In the Garden of Eden, Lord Ehyeh gave Adam his final instructions concerning his task. The LORD said to Adam that he wanted him to name every living thing that has the breath of life, including the trees that bear fruits, and the trees that bear no fruits. Excited, Adam responded, “Yes. Lord, I will do as thou command.” July 2010 . . . The Kings were preparing to leave on their vacation. Mrs. King asked, “Kids are you getting your stuff together? We’ll be leaving in an hour, provided your father gets back in time with the supplies,” she yelled up to her children from the staircase. “I am all done!” Beth said, in her normally annoying bubbly voice. David, who was listening to his favorite gospel CD, didn’t respond. He was sitting on his bed, folding some shirts to pack in his duffle bag. He grabbed his Bible and opened the cover. He always wrote important dates in the back. He wrote the date, July 21, 2010, inside the cover, and he placed the book in his bag. Strong in faith, David and Beth attended church twice a week. David didn’t understand why his parents didn’t attend church regularly, since they both had been brought up in church. Before Beth was born, they were always in church, as a family. David was glad that his parents encouraged them to go, even if they didn't go themselves. “David, are you getting ready?” David didn’t hear his mother calling him. He was still listening to his nanodisc. His mother finally went to his room. David was oblivious to her standing there in the doorway. When he finally saw her, he jumped up, startled, and said, “Hey, Mom!” She motioned for him to take off the earphones. “If you didn’t have that music so loud, you would have heard me calling you five minutes ago,”
37
Lost Treasures of the Gods “Oh, sorry, Mom,” “Now, are you just about done getting your gear together for the camping trip?” his mother asked. “Yeah, sure,” “Why do I have to go on this stupid trip every year?” “Now, you know your father looks forward to this camping trip. It’s the only time he actually gets to relax, and when we get to spend time with him without all the interruptions of work.” “I know, Mom, but don’t you think I’m just a little too old to be going on this camping trip?” “David, you are only fourteen years old,” said his mother. “I know, but I have been doing this all my life!” Which hasn’t been that long, and if you want it to continue, you’ll get a move on it,” his mother said with a smile. “Very funny, Mom,” David said, in a slightly annoyed voice. Young as he may be, David was very tall for his age. He stood 5 feet 9 ½ inches and he was strikingly handsome. All the girls would come around, wanting to talk to him. This made his mother practically nuts. She had to talk to him about the countless phone calls he received after school, and she shuddered to think of all the scenarios that might go along with dating, which would be starting soon. David was a good kid with a good head on his shoulders, she thought, most of the time, anyway. “I’m back, honey! Are you and the kids ready to get this show on the road?” “Just about,” she replied, as she gave her husband a quick peck on the cheek. “Oooh, may I please have some more of those?” asked David’s dad. He winked at his wife’s flirting. “Honey . . . What took you so long?” “I stopped to have the RV detailed. Got some gas and while I was at the station, I got a few extra supplies for the trip,” “Oh! This will be almost like a second honeymoon.” “Except we are taking the kids this time,” she said with a laugh. “Oh, yeah that’s right, the kids.” He twisted up his face, and scratched his head. “All right, let’s hustle it. It’s almost nine a.m.” He winked at his wife of sixteen years. “We should have been on the road an hour ago,” David smarted off, as he ran up stairs to get his gear. “Yeah, yeah, yeah…If I didn’t fuel up, we would have been on the side of the road,” “Kids, come on! Let’s go,” his mother shouted. David somberly walked down the stairs. He was the last one out of the house. He stopped to chat with a few of the neighborhood girls before getting into the RV. His dad checked to make sure that the house was secured and the alarm set. “Ok, David. It’s time to go. Wrap this up and get into the RV,” said his father. David finished talking to his admirers and he got in the RV. The neighborhood girls waved goodbye to him, and called, “See you Kiiiiiiing David.” Smiling, David waved back to them as he headed inside the RV. His mother said, “You think you are hot.”
38
Lost Treasures of the Gods David responded, “MOM! I must get that from your side of the family.” “Smarty,” his mother replied. David took his seat, his dad hopped into the RV and got into the driver’s seat. He fastened his belt and called out, “Everyone buckled in?” Then he asked, “Is everyone ready for an adventure?” Sure thing, Dad! Beth said, with her wide grin. David was already lying in his bunk, with his music going and sunglasses on. “What’s wrong with David?” Marcus asked his wife. “He’s fourteen, and he thinks that he’s too big to go on a family camping trip,” said Justine. “Oh! I see. He’s at that phase in his life?” “Yes, dear, he is,” “Bye, Mr. and Mrs. King!” some of the neighborhood girls shouted out. Bye, Beth! Have fun. Bye, King David,” the girls teased him as he looked out the window. He waved and smiled at the girls. He displayed an extra big smile for Tracy, who he thought was such a cutie with her bangs. “Marcus! This really was a great investment. This RV is like a home away from home. It’s very comfortable and stylish. It has all the amenities. I like the fireplace, the big flat-screen television, generous living space, and it has two bathrooms. You really went all out on this new toy, honey.” “Well, I figured once the kids were grown we could use this puppy to have that real vacation.” “Oh, you are so romantic.”
CHAPTER 11 She gave Marcus a nice kiss on the lips and returned to her seat. “Grand Canyon, here come the Kings!” he shouted. Marcus put his favorite jazz compilation into the twelve disc CD player. About an hour into the trip, Justine got up and went to see what Beth was watching on the forty-two-inch-screen television. “How about some breakfast, mom? I’m getting hungry,” Beth said. “Is everyone up for some breakfast?” “Sounds great, babe,” said Marcus, while he hummed to the music. “David? What about you?” She got no reply from David. “Beth,” she called out, ask David if he wants some breakfast.” Beth tapped her brother on the shoulder. He looked at her, giving her a why are you bothering me look. “You want some breakfast, Kiiiing?” she smirked. “Whatever.” Beth laughed and went back to the galley to help her mother prepare breakfast. “Pigs-in-a-blanket, Mom, that’s what I want to eat.”
39
Lost Treasures of the Gods Beth pulled out a large bowl to mix the pancake batter in. “Sounds like a plan to me,” her mother agreed. “Honey, please pull over at the next rest stop so we can eat together.” “You got it, baby.” As they pulled up into the next stop, the food was all but ready. After bringing the RV to a complete stop, Beth and Marcus exited the vehicle carrying the utensils, and searched for a table. They selected one not too far from the RV. Justine and David carried the cooked food to the table where the other two members of the family were sitting, and they all sat down to eat a hearty breakfast. After having a wonderful meal, Beth and her mother cleared away the paper plates and plastic cutlery. Marcus looked over at David, who appeared very tired. “Are you okay, son?” “Yeah, Dad, why do you ask?” “You just look tired, that’s all,” his father said. “I haven’t been sleeping well, Dad, that's all,” “Son,” Marcus said, after a slight pause. . . “Why haven’t you been sleeping?” “Because I have been having those dreams again,” “Oh! Is that so?” he said with a surprised look, glancing over at his wife. “Oh, honey, I meant to tell you,” “How long has it been since these dreams restarted?” he asked. “It’s been going on for about a month now,” said Justine. “I thought that they were all over with, because I hadn’t had one for such a long time,” said David. “That’s why you look so tired? Is there anything else troubling you, son?” “Nooooo! Not besides Beth,” David said with a smirk. “Ha, ha, you got jokes,” replied Beth. “Other than that, there was nothing out of the ordinary. Now that school is out and I have maintained an A average, things couldn’t be better,” said David. “Maybe you are feeling a little stressed about jumping a grade ahead of your friends,” said Marcus. “Not really . . . I know a lot of the kids who will be juniors when the school year begins,” “Well, we will discuss this later,” replied Marcus. “I really don’t see why. If I think of anything, I’ll let you know. Is that okay with you, Dad?” David looked at his father with half-opened eyes. His parents looked at each other, and his dad said, “Of course it is, son.” David hugged his dad as he left the table. Marcus and Justine discussed privately David’s dilemma. “Honey, why didn’t you tell me that he was having those dreams again?” “I really did mean to tell you, but he said he was fine. I thought that school had something to do with it, because he was up late at night studying. He must be very fatigued is all?” “Well, let’s keep an eye on him. He needs this vacation just as much as rest of us. Has he opened up at all to you to let you know what might be bothering him or what he has been dreaming about?” asked Marcus. “No, not yet . . . I’m worried about him. It’s been seven years of peace and quiet since those dreams wreaked havoc in our lives for a year. Now they are coming back.”
40
Lost Treasures of the Gods “Honey, we don’t know what triggered them.” “I know, but . . . just the thought of them plaguing him again is too much to bear,” “Whatever happens, we will handle it,” replied Marcus. “Right,” said Justine. Softly, Marcus called her. . . “Justine.” She looked over at him with tears welling in her eyes. “Awww, baby, baby . . . Yes, we will handle it. We are a family; we can handle anything that comes our way, remember that,” He reassured her. She kissed him tenderly. “I need to finish cleaning up.” As she got up from the table, Marcus grabbed her hand and said, “We got this, baby.” After spending some time with his family, Marcus resumed driving the RV. “We should be there in eleven hours, provided everything goes smoothly.” “I can’t wait to see the campsite,” said Beth. David decided to do a little reading, so he pulled out his Bible. Flashes from his dreams grabbed his attention. He tried to ignore it by looking out the window at the landscape. He tried to focus on Tracy, with her pretty smile, dimples, and bangs. But no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t keep his mind off the dreams, and he wondered if these visions were why he felt as if he shouldn’t be going on this trip anymore. This year, he really felt he should stay away from this place. He shuddered as he became immersed in his thoughts. I wish these visions would stop. It was sunny when it began to drizzle. “A sun shower,” said Beth, as she looked out the window. The ride to the campsite was long and dreadful to David. He watched rows of trees from his window as they drove by. Lying on his bunk, he began to think about Tracy. He wondered if she was thinking about him. Every time she saw him, she would smile, and he would melt. I wonder if she’s smiling at me to be nice, or if there’s something behind it, he thought. Tracy was new on the block. Her family had moved there a month before the school year ended. David didn’t know much about her, but he was truly interested in them getting better acquainted. “Honey,” said Justine. “Yes, dear,” said Marcus. “Don’t forget to stop at that local shop before we head into the canyon, so we can get a few extra things . . . like your fishing bait.” “Oh yeah; I hope they have my favorite bait available. Mmmm, I love fresh fish on the grill,” said Marcus. His mouth was watering already. “Thank you for reminding me, honey. We’ll be there in the next few hours, and then another couple of hours to our site on the grounds “You have been driving for six hours, honey. Do you want to stop at the next rest area and relax for a little while? That way, we can have lunch.” “That sounds great, baby. There’s one coming up in the next twenty miles.” In the background, Beth was laughing at the dialogue in the movie she was watching. She called out to David, “Hey big bro . . . You wanna watch a movie with me?” “Watch what?” “I’m watching Dr. Doolittle, starring Eddie Murphy. It’s hilarious.” “Sure, I’ll be right there.” Taking off his earphones, he came down off his bunk and sat next to Beth to watch the
41
Lost Treasures of the Gods movie. He looked over at his little sister and smiled. “I love my baby sis. She really isn’t a bad sister, although she can get on my nerves sometimes.” “I love you too, and whatever” Beth smiled at her brother. He gently rubbed her head while they watched the movie together. Justine looked back at her children from the front seat of the cabin. She smiled to herself and looked over at Marcus, and said, “We do have some great kids.” Marcus briefly looked at Justine. “Yes, we do.” The scent of decention . . . In the dark depths of the darkest canyon, Baalamus called for Balaadime. Out of nowhere, a swirl of gray and black smoke materialized, and Balaadime appeared before Baalamus. Pleased with his entrance, Balaadime fanned the lingering smoke off his shoulder. “Thou rang?” He said, jokingly. Intensely, Baalamus looked at Balaadime, saying, “I’m not amused at thy antics.” “Why art thou always so cranky? Thou act like it’s the end of the world.” “Again . . . I’m not amused, Balaadime, at thy sense of humor. Save it for thy own amusement.” Balaadime took a seat while hovering in the air. “Well . . . What Baalamus, because I have work to do,” “Thou art right! Thou hath work to do, and that’s whatever I tell thee to do.” “Sir! Yes, sir!” He rolled his eyes, standing at attention and giving a half-hearted salute. Casually, Balaadime returned to his sitting position, hovering in the air. “I’m really not in the mood for your behavior today, so listen up! That way you can get out of my face,” said Baalamus. “It would be my pleasure, to get out of your face” The introduction . . . The LORD brought every living creature unto Adam to see what he would call them, and whatsoever he called them, that was the name thereof. Before Adam started naming the animals, however, the LORD informed him that He had to leave, and told him that He would return unto him to hear the names that he, Adam, had chosen for each living thing, including the trees. Excitement burst from Adam’s lips in the form of laughter, for the joy of the Lord warmed his spirit. Lord Ehyeh left him and returned to Heaven to seek counsel against Lucifer. Adam began to name to all the cattle, all the fowl, and all the beasts of the field, saying, “Hmmm, I will call you lions, and I will call you leopards; you, I will call tigers, and you, I will call cheetahs. You and all your kind are called felines.” Thus, the heavens and the Earth were finished and all the host of them. And on the seventh day, Lord Ehyeh ended his work, which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work. And Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it, he had rested from all his creation. Back at the angels’ Chamber of Light, Lucifer, standing on the threshold, looked at them angrily as they talked about what had taken place earlier. Clearing his throat, he said, “Ehhhmmm . . .”
42
Lost Treasures of the Gods
CHAPTER 12 Suddenly, a deafening silence consumed the chamber, and an eerie feeling engulfed the packed room. With piercing eyes, Lucifer looked at them in disgust. “I’m sorry . . . I hope thee don’t mind the intrusion, the door was open.” A sense of urgency overcame the angels as Lucifer’s rage came to the forefront. His ego was set at a high level, jealousy and envy had consumed his once bright heart. With malice on his mind, he voiced his displeasure over man’s authority to rule the Earth. Jabamiah, leader of the Virtues entering from a different part of the chamber, approached Lucifer, bowing before Chief of the Illuminiels, “Lucifer, we did not hear thee approach. To what do we owe this visit?” Lucifer reached out with his right hand and wrapped his fingers around the neck of Jabamiah. Angrily, Lucifer lifted him high above his head until Jabamiah’s feet were off the chamber floor. With force, he threw him against the cavern wall, and said, “Thou weak bunch of misfits; Lord Ehyeh has been lying to us all this time, and all of you are in agreement with the poison that’s spewing from His mouth.” This would be the first act of deception from Lucifer. Jabamiah stood to his feet coughing. As he rubbed his neck, he asked “What doest thou mean by this?” “SILENCE! The LORD wants us to bow down and serve that thing He created from clay. As I understand it, He created us to serve man, when man should be serving us,” he boasted. Abaddon, Prince of the Principalities, asked Lucifer to explain himself. Looking around at the angels, Lucifer paced back and forth, explaining his position. “We are created from light, shining with the glory of Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh around our celestial bodies. That thing that He has so much trust in was created from dirt.” “Precede,” said Abaddon. “Don’t listen to him!” coughed Jabamiah, as he rubbed his throbbing throat. “Darkness has cast a shadow over his mind, causing his thinking to become corrupt.” Enraged by Jabamiah’s tongue, Lucifer walked over to him, expelling a toxic substance from his nostrils. Jabamiah caught a whiff of the mist and fell unconscious to the floor. After witnessing this, the angels started mumbling among themselves. “What our brother is saying is true. We should not be servants to man, but man should servants to us!” said Nisrociel, one of the Dominions. “Why did the LORD make this lowly being ruler over us, who are more than dirt?” asked Lucifer, as he continued his quest to corrupt the minds of the angels. He continues . . . “All that we know is being taken away from us. If we don’t stand up now, then we will forever be at the mercy of Lord Ehyeh’s beloved Adam. We are far greater than that creature. Our strength far supersedes his strength. Our intelligence is far superior to Adam’s intelligence. Who stands with me in returning things to the way they are supposed to be?” Angels by the legions joined forces with Lucifer, as he successfully convinced a third of the Celestial Host to pledge their loyalty to him. In one voice, they hailed him as leader of the Celestial Kingdom. Looking out among his troops, he appointed a feisty angel of invention whose name was Azra'il, to head his army. His ever-presence made him an intimidating foe. He
43
Lost Treasures of the Gods was more intelligent than any angels in the clan, other than Lucifer himself. Azra’il considered himself vastly superior to others in the clan, even to Lucifer. From the sidelines, he carefully studied the Chief Lluminiel’s every move. He said to himself, “Hmmm . . . So thou desire to be ruler, huh Well, I’ve got news for thee . . . though thou may be the most beautiful; I am the one with all the intelligence.” Dissension was already beginning to form within the clan. Lucifer divided his clan into three units, which he called, Watchers, Grigoris, and Zones. He told the Watchers that their tasks were his way of seeing a little bit of divinity. The Grigoris, he appointed as rulers over the four cardinal points —North, South, East, and West. And for the Zones, he told them that they would serve as his militia. They were to pursue their foes relentlessly, never letting up in their attacks. He searched the clan for leaders for each group. He looked amongst the sects and selected three Celestial Lights, whose glow was a little less than his own, to aid him in his quest. He selected a strong-willed angel who went by the name of Aldebaran to be leader of the Watchers. He went over to the Grigoris, and appointed a silent assassin by the name of Regulus to be their leader, and finally, he selected Azra'il to be leader of the Zones. He said to them, “You band of rogue Celestial Lights shall be my elite fighting force. From this point on, thou shalt be my Demonites. Nothing in the heavens shall stand in thy way. Thou shalt bring guilt and condemnation upon the Lord of Host and the rest of the Celestial lights. As ruler of the Celestial world, I shall exalt my throne above the stars of the LORD. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the North.” As he continued to go on and on about his selfish ambitions, he was unaware that Michael, Gabriel, and Uriel had arrived at the chambers. On their arrival, they heard voices coming from deep within the lair. Meanwhile, Raphael, Chamuel, Zadkiel, and Jophiel proceeded to the Lord’s mansion, while, Michael, Gabriel, and Uriel entered the chamber, where they listened to Lucifer fomenting a revolt against the LORD. Finally, Michael looked at the others and said, “Enough is enough.” He and the others burst into the chamber to dispel Lucifer’s false claims. Angrily, Michael voiced his displeasure over the false accusations that Lucifer had brought forth. “This is treason! Don’t listen to the venom spilling out of this fen’s mouth,” he said sternly. Lucifer walked over to Michael with a smirk crossing his lips. The two combatants stood face to face, as he asked, “Why? Is it because I speak the truth?” Michael never flinched as he looked into his rival’s eyes, “No, Lucifer . . . Thou speaketh lies. Thy mind has caused thee to err in thy judgment. Like a deep, dark pit, thy ego has clouded thy way of thinking.” “Oh, is that so?” Lucifer said with a laugh. “Then explain to us, Chief Guardian of the Stars, what is our role concerning Adam?” “Our role is to do the will of the LORD, not the will of man.” “What is that will, Michael? That we should be servants to an inferior creature?” Lucifer retorted and looked over at his brothers. “Nonsense!” Michael said angrily. As he turned to speak to the host, Michael pointed out the consequences for disobeying the Lord.
44
Lost Treasures of the Gods “The very Lord that created us can destroy us as well. If thou chooseth the way of Lucifer, then thou too shalt receive the same payment as he!” The angels whispered among themselves, saying, “Yes, he is right!” Lucifer aggressively stepped in front of Michael, pleading his case, “The Lord will not destroy us, because we are made of light! If He destroys us, then He destroys a piece of Himself. As a leader, thou cannot show any sign of weakness.” Some of the Host continued to whisper among themselves, saying, “Lucifer has a point,” and “Yes, I agree.” Upset with the proceeding, Gabriel interjected, “Michael! Thou owe this tyrant no explanation concerning the will of the Lord.” A low growl was heard departing from the lips of Lucifer. He looked at Gabriel, “I need to teach thee thy place.” Gabriel’s countenance fell, as he said, “Thou can growl all thou want, Lucifer, thou don’t scare me. The LORD rebukes thee; as a result, thou shall be punished for thy wicked behavior.” Lucifer exploded in a rage, “Wicked! It’s Lord Ehyeh that’s wicked! I resent that remark!” he screamed. On the other side of heaven, Lord Ehyeh arrived at His mansion where He entered His throne room. Just moments apart, Raphael, Chamuel, Zadkiel, and Jophiel arrived as well. As they entered the room, they saw THE MOST HIGH sitting on His throne. They all bowed before Him saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy . . . Thou art the Everlasting Lord, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and all the Host of them.” Lord Ehyeh, looking on. “Arise.” As they stood to their feet, the LORD in a soft tone inquired the whereabouts of, Michael, Gabriel, and Uriel. “My Lord, they headed to the angels’ Chamber of Light to address Lucifer about the outburst that took place back on the blue planet,” Jophiel spoke. After receiving that bit of information, the LORD sent Raphael to the angels’ Chamber of Light to have Lucifer brought before Him. Without question, Raphael was off, doing His bidding. Lord Ehyeh telepathically called for Jophiel. The magnificent angel, “Yes, my LORD.” “Get thy trumpet and blow it. I want thee to summon the Superniels (elders). I want them to sit in council with me.” Jophiel departed to retrieve the Oboe Trumpet. Jophiel retrieved the tumpet, he blew it, summoning the Superiniels. Meanwhile, Raphael sped toward the angels’ Chamber of Light. Deep within the lair, the highly intense argument continued between Michael and Lucifer. “Lucifer . . . I’m commanding thee to hold thy tongue,” said Michael. “No! I shall do nothing of the sort! My status ranks far beyond thy status, little star. I will crush thee and thy little league of misfit defenders,” responded Lucifer, clenching his fist. Back at the mansion, the Superiniels one by one began to appear in the presence of the Almighty wearing their customary white robes. Levitating above the mansion’s floor, they cast down their crowns in unison bowing, before Him, chanting, “Thou art worthy, Thou art worthy, Thou art worthy, Lord!”
45
Lost Treasures of the Gods “All wise, all knowing Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, Lord of Host, how may we serve thee?” the Superiniels sang in unison. Lord Ehyeh, sitting on His throne, replied to them, “Thou were summoned to sit in council with ME concerning judgment against one of our own.” “No disrespect to thee, My Lord, but who is the subject in question?” asked the Superiniels, again in unison.
CHAPTER 13
Lord Ehyeh responded, “The subject is Lucifer. He has defied the commandment of the Lord, and right now, he is in the midst of deceiving a third of the Celestial Host, who has given ear to his voice. Sanctions must be rendered against him.” “Lord Ehyeh, we have seen the attitude and witnessed the ruckus back on the blue planet. What would thou have us do?” asked the Superiniels in one voice. The LORD replied to them, “The integrity of the Celestial Order is at risk. Lucifer is to face judgment for his defiance. This wickedness constitutes sedition.” The Superiniels asked the Lord for permission to speak amongst one another concerning the charges. The Lord granted their wishes and excused them to do so while the Seraphims prepared to minister to Him about Lucifer’s act. “Almighty One, we are deeply saddened that our brother Lucifer has chosen this direction,” said ∆ικαίωµα, the Seraph on the right of the throne. “I shall blot out his star; his amber light shall be removed from his syfluescent body. I am the Creator. He has forgotten his place in the order.” “No, Overseer. May we suggest that his light be spared in the hope of him changing his position concerning Adam,” responded ∆ικαίωµα. The Lord of Host spoke quietly, “His quest is the same, and his heart has become dark with jealousy, because his mind is corrupt, and filled with evil thoughts. Every waning moment his ego grows larger and larger.”
Danger on the mountain. . .
On earth, the Yinpiniel flew down and zapped a huge boulder, causing it to disintegrate into thin air. Joshua was amazed that the boulder missed him, “It’s a good thing that I crawled under this treasure chest; a boulder that size should not have missed me.” Then he thought that it must have been my guardian angel watching over me. That’s the only way that boulder could have missed me.

Lost Treasures of the Gods Being a church-going young man, and having a very active imagination; he wondered if it was his faith that caused the mountain to move. With the faith of a mustard seed, I can tell the mountain to move and it will, to paraphrase (Matthew 17:20). He thought that it was kind of clever of him to make the ground shake like that. Then he thought, well, it would have been clever, if he truly had done it. The mini-quake felt like it lasted for ten minutes, but in reality, it had lasted only sixty seconds. Too scared to move, a shaken and frightened young man laid down thinking, and trying to ease his fears. I hope my faith doesn’t cause this piece of rock to move. Making himself laugh was the way he coped with things. So he always made up clever little things that would make him smile inside. A half hour had passed when Joshua decided that it was safe for him to move. Crawling from under the metal object, he took a moment to survey the area. He noticed that a big chunk of the mountain was lying at least a hundred yards away from him. Astonished by this, he thought, a rock that huge should have crushed me to death. As he looked around the place, he noticed that there were no boulders around the item that he’d crawled from under. Taking another look at the item, he once again noticed the strange symbol on its surface. He looked very closely at it, but couldn’t make out the design of the marking. As he began to pull on it, it began to move. He pulled on it again and it moved a little more. Finally, he gave it one great big tug. It broke loose, and he stumbled backward and fell hard to the ground. With an oomph, he landed on his back. The item landed on top of him with a big thump. He pushed it off to the side and he got up. The shield dug itself into the ground, because it was aware of the demonic presence. Suddenly, once again the ground began to shake. Watching from on top of the mountain range, the demon looked on at the still unsuspecting Joshua. The very Demonite that caused the mini-quake earlier had returned to resume searching for the item. Recklessly, the demon pulled out large boulders and tossed rocks aside like toys. He used his talons to dig into the side of the mountain, sending rocks once again tumbling down the mountainside in Joshua’s direction. Frantically, he tried to move out of the way of the falling rocks. He moved to the left and then to the right, slipping and falling. He would bounce back up, and slip and fall again. This time, when he tried to get up, he couldn’t, because of the gravel that was under his feet kept rolling around, stopped him from getting his footing. He slipped and fell once again, this time; into a hole that had formed during the small quake. The large object that had been sunk into the ground had now miraculously appeared on top him. “What? How did this get on me from over there?” He tried to move it, but his attempt was useless, because it had become extremely heavy. He looked at the inside of the object that was now covering him, and saw a vision of boulders flying off the mountain as it swayed back and forth. He saw another huge boulder heading straight for him. He began to panic, screaming, “I CAN'T MOVE! I CAN'T MOVE!” The demon turned around as if he’d heard something. He looked down the side of the mountain where he thought the sound was coming from. As he looked down the mountain, the only thing he saw was a falcon, perched on a rock. “Hmmm . . . pesky bird. Maybe one of these boulders will kill the varmint so I don’t have to hear that wretched noise he’s making!” He turned back to finish his search. Joshua looked up and saw another boulder rolling directly down the mountain toward him. He closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable to happen. The metal object covered him from head to toe. It pressed
47
Lost Treasures of the Gods him into the ground. A moment passed, and suddenly the shaking completely stopped. As he lay there looking at the inside of the covering, he could see the top of the mountain as though looking through a window. He saw that several Yinpiniels had engaged the demon, chasing him off the mountain, ending the earthquake. Joshua closed his eyes, breathing a sigh of relief. As he reopened them, he saw that the metallic thing covering him was glowing with light. He gave it a hard push, moving it off of him He scrambled to his feet, bewildered by how heavy that the thing had been. He hadn’t been able to move from under it, but now he had managed it easily. Something that had been so heavy was now lighter than a feather. He picked it up and began examining it very closely. He saw two brass-colored handles on its underside. He realized that the item that he had discovered was not a treasure chest, but a shield, a foot bigger than he was in all directions, and encrusted with jewel-like stones. “Wow!” This thing saved my life. I don't know how, but I know it did. What kind of shield is this anyway? It doesn't look like anything that a knight would have back in King Arthur's time. I know that because I have seen many knights’ shields. It doesn't look old at all; rather, it looks brand new. What is this weird writing on it? What is that in the center of it? Is that letter, or a word? He asked himself what seemed to be a million questions in the space of twenty seconds. Taking a closer look, at the shield, he studied the details engraved on it. The design in the middle looked like a fancy U. It was unlike anything he’d ever seen before. What is this strange lettering? He thought. Not knowing what the marking meant, he imagined that the symbol could be a hidden message or a coded word that would grant him magical powers. “That’s it! Okay, maybe my imagination is getting the best of me.” He laughed. He thought the marking on the shield resembled a letter, and the shield appeared to be something of importance. He laid it on the ground, saying out loud, “I'll ask my dad.” No sooner had he spoken those words, the shield suddenly became too heavy for Joshua to lift off of the ground. He tugged at it, tried to push it with his feet, but it did not budge. Puzzled, Joshua scratched his head. He thought that maybe it was under a spell. All of a sudden, the shield began to sink into the Earth as though it were being eaten. Frantically, Joshua tried to hold onto the shield, trying to prevent it from going down. He yelled, “I'M SORRY! NO SPELL! NO TELL! I PROMISE!” Grabbing hold of the shield, he pulled on it as hard as he could. With all his might, he yanked on shield, and once again, he flew backwards with shield in hand. As he lay on the ground, he breathed a sigh of relief. “wheeeewwww . . . That was close,” he said. He looked at his watch and saw that he needed to hurry home. He knew that his mother would be leaving, and everyone would be worried about his whereabouts. He picked himself up, grabbed the shield, and started running toward his home. As he made his way back, he wondered if the house had suffered tremendous damage from the quake. As he approached the outskirts of the field, he saw his father outside of the barn, tying up Rex. He dropped the shield and ran toward him. He called out to him, “FATHER!” He yelled repeatedly, as he ran across the field. Unbeknownst to him, the shield had
48
Lost Treasures of the Gods begun sinking into the ground to keep itself from being discovered. After reaching his dad, Joshua tried to catch his breath. “Are . . . are . . . are you all right?” asked Joshua. His dad laughed. “I’m the same as I was earlier, son. Why do you ask?” Joshua looked at his dad with his head slightly cocked to one side. “You were not frightened by the quake?” With a concerned look, with his left eyebrow raised, Mr. Manning asked Joshua, “What quake? Are you okay, son?” “Yeah, I’m fine, Dad.” Walking away, Joshua looked back at his dad. He couldn’t believe that he was the only one who had experienced the quake, and was perplexed by the whole thing. He patted Rex on his head, and Rex licked his master’s hand, and then stared off in the direction of the shield. A problem with an angel . . . “My Lord. May we suggest that thou send him to the Malkin Universe and encase him in the watery depths of the sarcophagus?” Firmly, the Seraph, Kάτω από spoke. Αριστερός offered his opinion concerning their dilemma. “My Lord . . .” “Go ahead, I’m listening,” replied the LORD. Αριστερός continued in place of Kάτω από. “We feel that this will be good for him, Lord. It will purify his heart and bring him back from the dark realm. If he should refuse this treatment, then we feel that thou shouldest make an example of him for those that seek to test thy power, Great One.” Lord Ehyeh, without hesitation, responded, “The democracy of this government is in great jeopardy. Why should I grant Lucifer mercy?” “Because he is of kin . . . and beside, by doing this, he'll return to his roots. Need I say more?” said Αριστερός, as he glanced over at ∆ικαίωµα. “I hear thy wisdom, and I shall heed to thy words,” said Lord Ehyeh. As the LORD sat quietly, He pondered over the wisdom of what He’d just heard. At the same time, the Superiniels entered the Hall of Truth, where they took a seat around the Orb of Righteousness to consider the LORD’s request. Uncommitted action . . . The Superiniels take their seats to consider the situation. Superiniel #1 makes his way down to the center of the floor. The others sit in rows of pews, watching, starring, like a predator to its prey. They begin their deliberation. “Brothers! Lord Ehyeh has asked that we take up counsel concerning our kin. The accusation against him warrants attention from this government.” said Superiniel #1. “The uncommitted action he displayed on the blue planet is serious and warrants attention.” replied Superiniel #4. “His refusal to bow before Adam shows discontent and pride. And he is trying to convince others to believe in his theory.” said Superiniel #1 “Denouncing our brother will further send him spiraling out of control.” Superiniel #14 49
Lost Treasures of the Gods “He must be reminded of the order.” Superiniel #5 Back at the Chamber of Light, Lucifer was more defiant than ever, as Michael and the others attempted to bring him to justice.
CHAPTER 14 Turn from the light . . . “Lucifer . . . Thou don’t stand a chance against us,” said Michael confidently. With an angry look on his face, Lucifer responded, “Oh! Is that so?” Michael looked into the demon eyes and replied, “Yes! It is so!” Looking right back into Michael eyes, responded in kind, “Thou had better look around and rethink thy answer.” At that moment, Raphael arrived at the Chamber of Light and heard Michael and Lucifer having a heated discussion. The angel approached both of them, getting between the two to break them up. “Stop this madness!” he shouted, with one hand pressed against Michael’s breastplate and his other hand on Lucifer’s shoulder. Both became silent. Lucifer turned and walked away from the pair. Raphael looked at Michael for a brief moment. He reassured him that he stood firm with him. He then he returned his attention to Lucifer. “Lucifer!” Raphael spoke sternly. . . “God has commanded thee to stand before Him.” “No! I shall not! I’m staying right here!” Lucifer replied harshly. He paused for a second, and then he continued. . . “I don’t think so. IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Lord Ehyeh has gone mad! Does He think that I am going to stand before the judgment of His biased rule?” Lucifer walked over to the gathering table where he plopped down in one of the seats like a spoiled child. The Superiniels exited the Hall of Truth, after deliberating Lucifer’s fate. They returned to the congregation of the Almighty, presenting themselves before Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh to render their decision, chanting, “Thou art worthy! Thou art worthy! Thou art worthy! Thou art worthy, Lord!” Once again, they cast down their crowns. As they did so, Lord Ehyeh said, “What decision have thou reached?” He inquired telepathically through the Seraph Αριστερός. “As a collective, we have concluded that the accusation against Lucifer must come before this council for judgment. We have all agreed that darkness has infused his mind, and therefore, he must be cleansed of all unrighteousness,” responded the Superiniels in one voice. The Seraph ∆ικαίωµα spoke, “We have sent for Lucifer by way of Raphael, and we are now awaiting their arrival at any moment.” The four-and-twenty elders each took a seat in their appointed places to wait for the Archs to return with Lucifer. The confrontation. . .
50
Lost Treasures of the Gods Raphael, speaking to Lucifer, “Brother, thou must stop this and come. It would be better for thee to do so of thy own free will.” Yawning, Lucifer waved Raphael away, as though he were a common servant. Gabriel and Uriel had now entered the chamber. Without looking in the direction of the two new arrivals, Lucifer smirked. “First Raphael, now it’s the royal messenger, Gabby.” “That’s Gabriel, if thou doest not mind.” Uriel looked over at Michael, who was moving into position behind Lucifer. Uriel approached him from the right. Raphael moved in front of him, while Gabriel stood on his left side. Lucifer studied their position. Within his mind, he said, so, this is it? Quickly, Lucifer stood to his feet. He opened his wings, and in one move, pushed the chair in which he had been sitting forcibly backward toward Michael, as he, he shot up toward the ceiling. Quickly, Uriel and Gabriel grabbed ahold of his feet, before he could reach the top of the chamber. They yanked him down to the floor where a brawl ensued. Feathers flew everywhere, and the sound of the fight drew the attention of other angels that were in a different part of the lair. Hearing the commotion, they rushed out of their rooms, heading to where the disturbance was coming from. They arrived at the white room to see the four, engaged in a physical battle, trying to apprehend the defiant rebel. Unknowingly to them, the fighting was creating negative energy, which increased Lucifer’s strength, as he fed off the dark energy. With every offensive move the Archs unleashed, Lucifer countered it with a defensive poster. He was incalculable in his movements. He even laughed a few times, as though it had become a game to him. He threw the Archangels aside like rag dolls. He reached down and grabbed Uriel, lifting him up above his head. With tremendous force, he threw Uriel against the side of the stairwell. Now becoming angrier, he quickly turned his attention to Gabriel. “Come on, Gabby. I’ve got some for you too!” he said, bragging. “That’s Gabriel to thee!” The thunderous voice of Gabriel, made the other Archs stopped and look at him for a moment, and they all shook their heads as they resumed their attack on the rebel angel. The others who were watching did not interfere, for they knew that the warriors would be victorious, although at the moment it didn’t look that way. Moving through the massive onyx doorway, they took the fight out into chamber’s hallway. They tripped over tables, knocking over exquisitely fashioned vases. They slid across marble like glass floors, trying to apprehend Lucifer. “Watch it, Michael! That’s my wing!” shouted Uriel. “Opps . . . sorry; I can’t tell which wing belongs to whom.” Lucifer broke free from under the others and headed outside the lair, into the firmament of Heaven. Without hesitation, Michael followed right on the heels of the rebellious angel. In a waning moment, the two were locked in a highly contested battle. Fire lit up the night skies, as thunder shook the heavens. Uriel, along with Gabriel and Raphael, watched as the two battled each other tirelessly across the dark space. Raphael urged the others to join in. “Come! We must assist Michael in apprehending that fiend!” “Let Michael have some fun for a while. I want to see him in action,” replied Uriel. “Thou art just tired,” laughed Gabriel. “Thou art right; I am tired,” he admitted. “Shouldn’t we be helping him?” Raphael said, and laughed. “He is the leader; if he needs our help, he will yell.”

Lost Treasures of the Gods So, the three of them watched the two battle across the heavens, back and forth. The decision . . . “I weep for him -- and for those that have chosen to followed him.” said Superiniel #23. “The creed calls for him to be destroyed.” Superiniel #1 They look at each other, unsure. “But he’s our brother. Is there any other way this can be resolve?” retorted Superiniel #9. “No! If we don’t stop it, this plague could have DIRE ramifications.” said Superiniel #1. “We have a growing power in our mist -- and it’s capable of destroying us ALL.” said Superiniel #2. “Its very existence threatens our way of life.” replies Superiniel #20. “There is a whisper through out the land.” said Superiniel #18. “As a result of this threat -- We cannot avoid; the path of WAR!” said Superiniel #1. “I agree! This threat must be put down.” retorted Superiniel #17. “The stain of death if not stopped will become contagious. Therefore. This Holy War . . . is for our survival.” replied Superiniel #1. Back on the Earth, it was late in the evening when Adam became hungry. He had spent many hours naming the animals, not once taking a moment to nourish his body. He went over to one of the trees in the garden where he took a piece fruit. As he tasted it, he closed his eyes, savoring its delightful flavor as he chewed it slowly. Utter silence gripped the night as Adam sat down to a hearty meal. He gathered up a variety of fruits, herbs, and nuts that he’d picked. While enjoying his dinner, in the distance he heard a strange sound approaching rapidly. He looked up into the sky and saw flashes of brilliant light streaking across the heavens in the form of lightning. Soon after, the sound of thunder rolled across the heavens. The vibrations were felt on the Earth. Adam had never heard the sounds of thunder before, and the rumbling intrigued him. Having no fear, because it was not in him, he ran under the night sky, chasing the flashes of light. He was unaware that a fierce battle was being waged in the heavens above him. As the crackling of thunder rolled across the heavens, he tried to follow the sound, hoping to discover its origin. After running for several minutes, he became tired. He walked over to an acacia tree where he lay down. As he lay on his back, he stared into the night sky and drifted off to sleep. He was unfazed by recurrent flashes of lightening that brightened the heavens. Uriel was now being humorous in his commentary on the exchange between Michael and Lucifer. “Michael! Thou art doing great!” “No thanks to you guys,” Michael shouted back. Lucifer once again slipped out of Michael’s grasp and took off. Michael, along with the others, pursued him. Gabriel decided to move beyond the two squabbling angels. As Lucifer took off, he looked back to see how close the others were to him, but didn’t notice Gabriel rapidly approaching, “I see only three of them. Where is the other one?” No sooner had he asked himself that question he flew smack dab into Gabriel. The blow felt like he’d crashed into a wall. As he began to fall, He steadied himself as he reached out and
52
Lost Treasures of the Gods grabbed Gabriel by the hem of his robe. Gabriel tried to shake him off, but the rogue angel held on tightly. Michael and the others stood watching as those two now tussled ferociously. Lucifer was gaining the upper hand on Gabriel. Seeing this, Michael sped toward them. Stopping just a few feet away, he yelled for Gabriel to move. Gabriel quickly broke free from Lucifer’s grasp and jumped out of the line of fire. Holding out his right hand, billions of dark green pellets took form as Michael summoned the Black Dysc of the Ageist. With the energy firmly in his hand, Michael thrust it directly at Lucifer. With no time to react, Lucifer was hit on the five main points of his body. The blast affected his head, hands, and both feet, and he was cast into a catatonic state. Michael fired off another blast, and loose strands of energy encircled him in a cell, shaped like an atom. Michael and Gabriel swooped in, seizing hold of Lucifer’s rigid body. They warily carried it back to the Congregation of the Almighty. As they reached their destination, the effects of the Black Dysc began to wear off. Quickly, Michael placed Lucifer’s body into the center of the Nengali rings, which were activated by the Archs. The rings produced a shield of light that encased the rogue within its boundaries. Finally after a moment longer, the full effect of the Dysc wore off. Lucifer woke from his catatonic state. Feeling groggy, he staggered, falling against the wall of light. Lord Ehyeh and the Celestial Host watched as Lucifer struggled to recover as he embraced his head, trying to gather his thoughts. He opened his eyes, but his vision was still blurred. Slowly, his eyes began to focus, and his mind became clear. He saw Michael standing before him and anger appeared on his face. Without warning, he erupted into a deep rage. With hatred coursing through his veins, he lunged at Michael, only to be stopped by the wall of light inside the rings. He lunged several more times, only to be knocked backward again and again. Looking around the room, he realized that he was standing before Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh in the Congregation of the Almighty. Slick like the skin of the serpent, he quickly changed his attitude, as he pleaded. “Thou knoweth me,” He said, with his arms opened wide, as if to welcome them all in with a great big hug, he continued . . . “Have I ever done anything wrong in thy sight before this time? Surely, I am no threat to thee. Come on now . . . let us reason together. Is this really necessary . . . to have me confined in such a manner as this?” His voice was gentle, but his eyes burned with rage. Seeing that his antics were not moving them to tears, his anger rose up like a volcano erupting. “I demand that thou release me from this . . . this . . . what is this?” He paused for a moment, examining the rings, and then he said, “Ahhhh . . . the Nengali rings. Hmmm, how clever of thee. Nonetheless, how dare thou hold me against my will? I demand that thou release me!” With every passing second, the wrath of Lucifer grew more and more internally violent. He searched for a weakness in the light. Finding none, he succumbed to the realization that he could not escape, so he began to calm down. Sarcastically, Lucifer mumbled under his breath, “If thou set me free, I promise not to hurt thee.” His mumbling was loud enough for Michael and the Seraphim to hear. The Seraphim looked over at the leader of the Archs, and ∆ικαίωµα, the Seraph on the right side of the LORD’s throne, urged Michael to hold his tongue. Without question, he obeyed. The Seraphim turned their

Lost Treasures of the Gods attention to Lucifer. With the flicin kering of fire in their eyes, they confronted the Chief of the Illuminiels.
