Little Benthic Crawler The LBC is the ultimate blend of full-function ROV and Crawler. In ROV mode, the LBC is capable of rapid-response, freeswimming underwater inspections. When conditions exceed traditional ROV capabilities, the LBC can be deployed with the patented Crawler Skid. The unique skid contains a powerful, low profile vortex suction device that adheres the LBC strongly to any hard surface. Attachment to surfaces such as steel or fiberglass ship hulls, concrete dam, reservoir or tank surfaces enable the operator to more precisely inspect critical areas in conditions not possible with a traditional ROV. The 4-wheel drive mechanism powers over the hard surface at speeds up to 30m/min (100ft/min), while providing an extremely stable sensor platform for the highest quality data possible.
