Select the size of your basin Take stock of the size of your bathroom, considering floor space and unit placement.

If space is tight, you might benefit from a smaller wall-hung option or even a compact cloakroom option. There are four wall mounted options in 500, 600, 800 and 1200mm widths as well as a 500mm freestanding unit. For a smaller cloakroom or ensuite solution we have a 400mm wide unit, which will fit perfectly.

Your finish options Create an artful bathroom with a finish that sets the tone for rest, ritual and relaxation.

Carefully considered, each of our four finish options adds a depth and interest that complements the simple styling of Cadence.

Available in a choice of lustrous gloss or matt, our finishes expand from a neutral gloss white and light grey, to a deep, sophisticated oxford blue. Finally, a subtle tundra wood adds a natural touch.

Useful storage box solutions Further personalise your unit and declutter your space by adding Cadence solid wood storage boxes to your drawers. Incredibly useful, with five storage box styles including an L-shaped design with optional additional lids. Either choose one of the suggested configurations to fit your unit, or select your own mix to best suit your storage needs.

Choosing your basin style Define the look of your unit with either a ceramic or Isocast basin. Available in 400, 500, 600, or 800 widths, a ceramic basin offers a streamlined shape cast from a timeless, traditional material. An Isocast basin has a clean, precise, low profile design. Available in 500, 600, 800 sizes, as well as a statement-making 1200mm ‘his and hers’ basin.

Handle choices Create a vanity as beautiful as it is functional with your choice from the extensive Cadence handle collection. Keep the whole look minimalist by using chrome or black drawer top handles or opt for a practical wide front-fixed pull option for a fresh take on the industrial look. A matt black handle option will add interest to create a highly personalised vanity. Undrilled drawer fronts allow you to position the handles where you wish, though we think a third of the drawer height down from the top looks good.

Add lighting for the perfect finishing touch For the perfect finishing touch, light up your Cadence unit with an elegant lighting kit.

The kit lights up the drawer to help you find what you need. Easy to use and operated by simply touching the side of the unit, this sensor is discreetly hidden from sight.

MATCH FEATURES Units A single compact one metre unit which incorporates a 500mm basin unit and a 500mm back to wall unit. Available in 6 finishes with a choice of on-trend painted finishes including oxford blue, light gloss grey, gloss clay & gloss white, or the warmth of either of our contemporary textured wood finishes; tundra or havana oak. Simple chrome detailing and discreet door handles blend together perfectly, making it ideal for any modern bathroom interior. Installation is very easy, with no cutting required to fit the basin. We recommend use of the Tavistock Vortex Cistern see page 140.

Isocast Basin with Integrated Worktop At just one metre long, the Match basin with integrated worktop area is extremely practical. It is manufactured using Isocast, a mineral substrate topped with a tough resilient gelcoat to give a glossy finish which is both durable and easy to clean. The look is seamless and modern. A depth of 380mm makes it very space efficient and it is available either left or right-handed to suit your room layout.

WCs You have the option of high level, low level, close coupled or back to wall WCs. High and low level WCs feature chrome plated brass downpipes.

Low level and close coupled WCs have full flush and reduced flush operation (6/4L) with a ceramic cistern handle. The high level WC has ornate brackets and a 6L flush.

Soft Close WC Seat Wooden soft close seats incorporate a chrome plated bar hinge featuring top and underfix options with adjustable fitting. The natural oak seat is solid oak. Alternatively choose painted gloss white or a finish to coordinate with your Vitoria or Lansdown furniture.

Wash Basins Vitoria basins are available in both round and square configurations, with one tap hole or 2 tap holes to suit the style of your bathroom, both with chrome overflow cover and coordinating pedestal. CONTACTLESS DUAL FLUSH SENSOR The contactless flush sensor kit is compatible with our pneumatic concealed cisterns, and is best used within furniture. It provides a touchless flush, with just a wave of a hand.

The Sensor works using capacitive sensor technology to detect a change in the electromagnetic field. A short wave of the hand in front of the sensor activates the reduced flush, whilst holding your hand slightly longer triggers a full flush. It is powered by 4 AA batteries which will last around a year under normal domestic conditions.

The sensor can be mounted behind a back to wall WC unit fascia, or under a worktop or tiled wall near the cistern. A discreet decal is included to indicate sensor location if desired.

With a smooth and easy to use action, the ceramic discs in our basin mixers and bath fillers mean that a simple lift of the handle for basin mixers and a quarter turn for bath fillers takes the tap from completely off to fully on. TAP OPERATING PRESSURE Plumbing systems can sometimes suffer from poor flow rates. The UK is unique in that many homes are still using the more traditional, low pressure gravity fed plumbing systems commonly found in older properties.

Some manufacturers tend to design taps suitable for modern plumbing systems which can often cause disappointing flow rate when using the taps in UK homes. Tavistock’s in-house design team have

recognised this problem and engineered our taps for use with both high and low pressure systems.

Most of our taps operate at 0.1bar or above.

WASTES & TRAPS Our tap ranges are perfectly complemented by our stylish bottle traps and collection of wastes.

Most of our taps are suppplied with a click waste. Varsity basin mixer has a pop-up waste which includes a waste outlet, pop-up rod and lifting mechanism. For taps supplied without a waste, we have a few waste options as shown below. Unslotted wastes are for use where there is no integral overflow in the washbasin. If your basin is wall hung choose our modern chrome trap or the more traditional styled version to complement your taps perfectly.

The heated demister pad heats the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3 minutes, preventing the mirror from misting in even the steamiest of bathrooms.

TOUCH FREE OPERATION Many of our mirrors have an infrared on/off switch which lets you activate the lighting without even touching your mirror.

Simply move your hand in front of the sensor to activate.

Important: When mounting mirrors with infrared switches, the sensor must be at least 150mm from an adjacent wall or obstruction to ensure the switch can function properly.

SAFETY IN THE BATHROOM Mirrors Technical Information Tavistock illuminated mirrors have been designed and tested for compliance to electrical equipment (safety) regulations.

All electrical connections should be made according to the latest national wiring regulations. Illuminated mirrors are suitable for installation in the bathroom within outside zones unless stated. Mirrors which are IP44 water resistance rated are suitable for use in zones 2 and outside zones in the bathroom.

Illuminated mirrors are not suitable for installation in saunas, steam rooms, shower cubicles or above a bath tub. Products are only suitable for permanent installation. Installation by a suitably qualified electrician is required.

Cabinets - Electrics Our illuminated cabinets have been designed and independently tested for compliance to electrical equipment (safety) regulations. They are only suitable for use outside zones 1 & 2 according to the latest IEE regulations. All cabinets are class 1 insulated and require an earth connection.

Infrared Sensor All mirrors or cabinets featuring infrared technology must ensure that the sensor is mounted a minimum of 150mm from an adjacent wall or obstruction to ensure correct function.

Electrical fittings in this zone require separated extra low voltage and a minimum rating of IP44 (splash proof).
