1 Introductory Notes Tripolis is a programme that allows you to manage and send commercial mailings. This shortened user manual will explain the use of Tripolis and serves as a guideline and reference tool. A more extended manual can be downloaded from Tripolis. 2 Logging in Tripolis can be accessed through the following URL: https://td42.tripolis.com/dialogue/login.html . You can log in using the username and password provided by Pangaea Internet Marketing.
Once you are signed in, the main overview page appears (below). Here you will find your recent items/actions, the latest news and updates of Tripolis. Also the user manual and support possibilities can be found here.
By using the quick links in the main overview page or by using the main menu items in the top bar you will be able to navigate. As soon as you open one of the main menu items, the submenu will become visible.

3 Contacts A summary of the already imported contacts or contactgroups can be found through the submenu items “Contacts” and “Groups”. You can also navigate using the menu tree on the left side of the page. Viewing, Editing or Deleting a contact or a group can be done by the “View”, “Edit” or “Delete” buttons that are shown at the top and bottom of the list. You can add a new contact or a new group by clicking on the “New” button.
The submenu item “Import” allows you to add an entire directory at once. First you need to select the import mode and group or database from the drop down menus. Next you can upload a CSV file containing all the contacts that you wish to upload. After uploading the file from your computer you will need to select the fields that need to be imported. The file is now completely ready to be imported and you can finish the import by clicking the “Import” button.

The submenu “Query� can be used to separate contacts or categorize contacts based on certain criteria. You will need to add a condition based on profile field or group subscription and by running the query you will get a list of results matching the set criteria.
If you wish you can save these results as a new Group (Smart Group) or you can add the contacts to an already existing group.

4 Content The creation of a newsletter needs to be done in the menu item “Content – Newsletter”. Via the menu tree on the left side or the list of recent items you can view or adjust the newsletters that already have been created. If you wish to create a new newsletter you need to click the “New” button. You can select the template for the new newsletter by opening the Newsletter type drop down menu. Subsequently you will enter a name and subject for the newsletter. Also the from name and from address need to be filled out if this has not already been done. After saving this , you will get to see the preview of the newsletter. In order to edit the articles of the newsletter, you will need to click the Editor in the topbar. Now you will see the different fields (also called articles) that can be filled. Via the Add new button a field can be created. You will need to name the label, select an article type and the position of this article within the newsletter. Then you can click Next.
The screen that is visible now, is the text editor. Here you can add or edit you content. Based on the chosen article template you can also add images, links, etcetera. The next page shows a table with definitions of icons that can be found within the content editor.

If the newsletter is according to your wishes, you can save it by using the Save button. If you looked at the preview and are completely satisfied, the mailing can be send as a testmail by clicking Quisck send or immediately send the newsletter by selecting the Publish button. This can also be done at a later stage through the menu item “Publishing� .

5 Reports In the “Reports� menu you will be able to find the reports of all the different newsletters or mailings that you have sent. When opening the desired mailing, you will get the summary of the number of opens, clicks and bounces. For more detailed information you will need the specific menu items that are shown on top of the window.
