“Design of a creative, innovative, aesthetic and functional way focusing on sustainability: my proposal as a designer.
ABOUT ME
rosa brualla
Graduated in Business Sciences at the University of Salamanca and Fashion Design Degree at the Art School of Cadiz. As a result of my graduation in Business Sciences, I started working in a Company of the financial sector. There, I held different responsible positions within the area of Human Resources and Organization. At the same time, I started my training in what was my real passion: fashion desing, and I started creating my first patterned fabric. In 2010 I collaborated with the creation and development of the accessorize brand Theresa LĂźe. Thus, I designed the motifs of the first collection and, in 2013, I decided to devote myself entirely to Fashion Design. Since then, all my lines of clothing are based on designing patterns inspired on those topics that appeal to me the most: nature, art, history, dreams and story tales with an artisan and digital touch where recycling and sustainability have become a constant feature to all. Such a concern has been reflected in moments such as: - First prize. Contest TIC DESIGN of the recycled product prooted by C&G It Solutions and Desighn School Ceade, Sevilla. 2014. - Project of Ecosustainable Fashion that was selected in the 6th Forum of Iberoamerican Centers of Design, DIMAD and exposed in Room Matadero de Madrid. 2015.

This project tries to underline the important role of the designer in the design and production of sustainable fashion. In a globalized world where fast fashion is consumed frantically and without thinking about the consequences that this will have on the future of people and the world where we live, it is necessary to stop and rethink the role of the designer by involving him in the development of creations Sustainable, not exempt from creativity, aesthetics and functionality. In this way, this proposal aims to give practical expression, thanks to a collection of feminine clothing, different premises of sustainable design through two basic axes: non-polluting stamping on sustainable fabrics and reuse of discarded materials.

Strategies developed: 1. Design patterns with the objective of maximum utilization, and destined to the possible recycling. 2. Reuse textiles giving them a new life. 3. Use sustainable materials, such as organic cotton fabrics. 4. Follow non-polluting printing processes. The result is a collection of six looks that blend the denim of denim leggings with the organic cotton of fabrics with prints. A collection that aims to be, directly, an aid to sustainability and, more indirectly, a support for raising awareness in favor of a more sustainable world.
