Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria is pleased to present "Calabria Food & Tourism" project, an initiative promoting the capacity of the Calabria economic system to work on international markets and to expand its presence in Bulgaria, as well as to foster the competitiveness of local systems and the enhancement of Calabria food and touristic excellencies as well as the image of the "toe" of Italy's boot in Bulgaria. The project is financed by Cohesion and Action Plan (PAC) 2014/2020 – Axis 3 "Competitiveness of productive systems" (OT3) – specific objective 3.4 "increase of internationalization of Productive Systems" of Calabria Region. Three promotional events dedicated to"Calabria Food & Tourism", will take place in Sofia from 12th November to 22th November 2019 within IV "Italian Food Week Worldwide".

A convivial moment animated by a story-telling of Calabria productions with the aim of promoting regional agri-food and tourism and encouraging customers towards a conscious, healthy, quality, responsible food education and consumption, including e-commerce access to Calabria products. A masterclass entirely dedicated to the typical food of Calabria cuisine at Social Signature, Restaurant Certified with the Label of Quality "Ospitalità Italiana- Italian Restaurants Worldwide" managed by the member of Italian Chef Federation (FIC), Italian Association for AIS (Presidentof Bulgarian delegation), International Institute of coffee tasters, professor of European Sommelier School and Brand Ambassador "Storyteller of Taste", Maurizio Ferreri, and addressed to chef, restaurants management, importers/distributors, young chef, journalists/blogger, influencer and nutritionist/food experts.

While showcasing how to prepare, he will introduce DOP and IGP products used, revealing the story behind the authentic ingredients of Calabria cuisine. An exclusive promotional event dedicated to Calabria Region under the name Showcooking & Gala Dinner "Calabria, mediterranean gastronomic culture: tradition and innovation" will take place in the luxurious and prestigious Sofia Balkan Hotel. 1 Michelin Star from Calabria Region, Riccardo Sculli, the '"self-educated artisan of taste" will present live streaming an interesting and innovative menù with Calabria food products of companies participating into the projects, deserving the renewed and recent award of 65a Michelin Italia 2020 Guide, obtained last 6th November at eighteenth-century Municipal Theater of Piacenza. Among 374 starred restaurants of Italy, Riccardo Sculli was awarded again with 1 Michelin Star for his Restaurant "Gambero Rosso/Red Prawn" based in Marina di Gioiosa Jonica (the so-called "Jasmine Coast" of Calabria), managed by the brothers Giuseppe Sculli, Francesco and Riccardo, which represents the best proof of the endless heritage of Calabria Region cuisine and territory.

"Cuisine is also a fusion of diverse traditions and flavors, enlightened by experienced and creative hands of chef who, with few ingredients at their disposal, give a sensorial and intense journey of taste to theirs dishes". With great dedication, commitment mixed to high humble approach, Riccardo Sculli started to be on national gastronomic scene with the first 1 Michelin Star in 2013, reconfirmed every year til nowadays. His passion and commitment was constantly proved by recognition and awards, such as Chef Award 'Best 100 Chef' 2017, Corona Radiosa (the maximum award) for il Taccuino dei Ristoranti d'Italia "Gatti Massobrio", 1 cappello for Espresso Guide, being among Gambero Rosso Guide, Cucina d'Autore for Touring Club Guide. Moreover, Riccardo Sculli, has been guest chef in February 2017 in the Restaurants of the international Hotel Chain Shangri-La in New Delhi, India.
