1st semester master project | topic room dividing systems | GROUP PROJecT | DURATION 3 months
An intelligent ROOM DIVIDING SYSTEM for people who want to do their desk work at home. The space dividing panel functions both as a collapsable working space on one side and as a modular storage system on the other. Cooperation - BAUFRITZ
23
BAUFRITZ provided us with plans for their new eco friendly prefabricated house. It then was our task to design a mobile room dividing system based on those plans. We soon knew we wanted to learn more about the use and importance of the home office today.
LEARNINGS | HOME OFFICE + living areas will fuse + we will spend less time at home + home office users are mostly freelancers + we are working up to 10 hours at home + we would like to get the chance to work at home more often
scenario
OUT OF SIGHT ... so much work... but no room!!
YES! ... OUT OF MIND. 25

4th semester BACHELOR PROJECT | topic SHREDDER of the future | GROUP PROJecT | DURATION 3 months
A DEMOLITION ROBOT that is partly working autonomously and is able to shred construction waste immediately. Cooperation - KOMPTECH
43
PROBLEM
In the future, more than half of all people will live in megacities. But will they all get a nice place to live in? And isn’t there a way for those people to reuse old buildings that were abandoned? While demolishing and gutting those old empty buildings there seem to appear lots of problems and dangers for construction workers but also residents, like + dust pollution + sound pollution + reduction of livability + difficult use of heavy machines + danger of injury
scenario
gut the building & shred construction waste. plan the reutilization for new residents
examine & clear out abandoned buildings
REBUILD & reconstruct into living space
CARIS gets to work
concept cAris 45
solution
WHAT WE NEED. A machine that helps construction crews work on and in buildings with less danger for themselves and their environment. It should be able to WORK MOSTLY AUTONOMOUSLY and while it is mostly put to use as a SHREDDING DEVICE it must also be able to crush debris on spot.

+ COMPACT transport MODE + caris is able to move through the building + it’s guided to the spot that needs to be worked on
+ unfolding in stationary mode + getting ready + legs tilt down to get grip
+ grappler & roller are visible + ready to work + grappler either feeds roller or roller directly shreds wallparts
+ stationary work mode + hose for removing construction waste is attached + crushed debris gets directly transported outside 53

“we safely take your kid to kindergarten...and you’re in ! enable trust
HOW IT WORKS Kindergartens will get equipped with an app - NINIO. Parents who have their kids enrolled in that particular kindergarten will get access data to use the app.
provide long-term support
minimize stress
enable connections
As a second step, after they set up their accounts, parents can get in touch with other parents from their kindergarten place. Now they have the possibility to make arrangements which parent will accompany the kids of some other parents to kindergarten and even pick them up.
strengthen relationships
use digital media
As soon as the children enter the daycare they can send their parents a message of their save arrival by taking a photo of themselves - as playful and simple as possible. They simply have to press a button at a terminal and the foto gets sent immediately.

AVAPAD A neck and back protector for ski tourers and freeriders. It helps keeping the neck and head stable and also protects your back and spine in case of getting hit by an avalanche. Cooperation / supervision - MADKEM
3rd semester Bachelor PROJECT | topic sports & safety | solo PROJecT | DURATION 3 months
PROBLEM
Many freeriders & ski tourers suffer from severe injuries or even get killed in avalanches. All that despite using full gear & avalanche backpacks. Statistically speaking, the second most common causes of death are fatal injuries of the neck. How can that be prevented?

+ HELMET FIXATION
HOW IT WORKS Put on the back protector like you would do with any conventional model. Insert the neck pad in the hole on the topside of the protector. For perfect support you should secure the pad with your skiing helmet. Now your neck will be safe in case of an emergency. And if you ever should find yourself in an avalanche, a transceiver that is mounted on your chest strap ensures that you will be found by the rescue team on time.
