Left image shows how winter weather brings in a dark shadow from the northern side of the Barr Smith Library. This means that the middle of the ‘Maths Lawns’ would not be open to much light during colder months.

PAGE 7

Left image shows how morning weather brings in sunlight from over the top of the north/western side of the Barr Smith Library. This means that the middle of the ‘Maths Lawns’ would then be open to direct sunlight by mid-morning.

Left image shows how the ‘Math’s Lawns’ area is lit up after 6pm AEST. The sun slowly sets behind the Barr Smith Library, which allows the lawns to glow light until later in the evening. Also with the help of street lamps, the buildings are easily visible. PAGE 8
