ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR:

MIKE LUCAS has written lots of silly poetry and a couple of sensible picture books . He cites Roald Dahl, Spike Milligan, and Shaun the Sheep as his inspiration . For five days a week he works as an engineer, and also owns and helps run an independent book shop in Adelaide, Australia . HEIDI COOPER SMITH knew at an early age that she wanted to write and illustrate picture books . Then she discovered ceramics . After working with clay for 20 years, Heidi rediscovered drawing through an online illustration challenge . Since then, Heidi has written and illustrated two books: Kate and the Thing and Six Sleepy Mice .
