Ages: 16 + Join Rosewood’s Cultural Arts Program Supervisor and artist, Andrew Dailey, for a look into his specific drawing process and materials in a live virtual Zoom session. Dailey demonstrates how to subtly combine cross-hatching and reductive mark-making to create a nuanced and layered graphite pencil drawing in a live Zoom session. T-Shirt Skirt Virtual Class
Ages: 16 + Learn how to make a T-Skirt out of your favorite T-shirts in a live virtual Zoom session. Students will cut up the t-shirts to design and sew a skirt. Supplies needed: 6 to 10 T-shirts for cutting, 1 yd of 1.5 inch elastic, thread, a small sewing kit and a fully functional sewing machine. Ages: 16 + Students learn to take existing garments apart and transform them in to other useful garments in a live virtual Zoom session. Students also explore numerous creative ways to utilize unused clothing. Supplies to bring: 6 to 10 garments for cutting, thread, a small sewing kit and a fully functional sewing machine. Students must know how to use a sewing machine. Sound techniques for slab rolling and joining will be covered to help get you making art at your studio away from the studio.
