Tequila and Mezcal are an essential part of the Mexican culture that is proudly represented at the hotel.
Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is committed to selecting the finest labels of these Agave distillates, to provide you with a unique experience, while you learn about their history, and production process, guided by trained personnel.
Tequila is a distillate obtained from the fermentation of the heart of the Blue Agave exclusively. Its appellation of origin is in municipalities in the states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Michoacán, Tamaulipas, and, of course, Guanajuato.
Take a sensory tasting to learn the characteristics of color, body, smell, taste and types of Tequila.
Mezcal is produced in a similar way to tequila, with other types of agave in artisanal underground ovens, giving a smokier flavor to the distillate.
The tasting of mezcal is done in the same way as the tasting of wine or tequila, where the visual phase, the olfactory phase and finally the mouth phase will be analyzed.
