In chestnut and ivory the afternoon lay; five pins and a ribbon in taffeta grey,

Dressed for the lonely meals, I bite and munch Oh,I am in love with my Sunday brunch !

GARMENT DETAILS

Garment- Corset dress. Mushroo for the corset and glass tissue for the volume at the lower dress, tied with an accent tie up. Theme -De Dos Caras; meaning double- faced.

The silhoutte of the corset is inspired by the shape of the eye masks used as props for the masquerade ballroom dancing.

Concept-Kalidar kurta is a geometric shaped garment where the kali is placed in a way that it becomes easy for the movement the hands. Mood- A casual oversized pret garment that is unisex and freesized.

The pocket and the slit is provided at the side seam, front and back,i.e divided as shown.

GARMENT : KALIDAR KURTA An oversized kurta, with a ‘kali’ or panel at the side seam with a pocket.


They say- ‘When there is a relativeness, understanding starts prevailing.’ My design aesthatics and sensibilities can somehow be justified by relating,observing and above all,expressing. When there goes a rack of endless faded away belongings,my hands unconciously stop on greys, vintage and raw. So, it doesnt matter if you missed it. There is a hope called-’clockwise’.

SAMPLES DEVELOPED

Internship under deisgner Nachiket Barve,Mumbai. NACHIKET BARVE, the label stands for modern, progressive design that’s clever yet commercial, timely yet timeless. Creating his own textiles, using a plethora of techniques, Nachiket has a distinct look that is effortless, chic yet extremely refined. The look of the range is international, while the elements that go into making it are Indian. The essence of the label lies in “ Redefining Luxury” for a global audience.

Creating layers of the thread and placing beads at random distance.

By cutting out patches of lurex, placing and stitching .Later cut and finished and used as a patch by self or as a surface using many.


Sample created using layered thereads and beads(also called as poth).

Using a stitching technique to give the broken stich effect.

Garment -Ombre evening dress. Brooch- developed as a sample. The dress is dyed in a horizontal ombre effect from royal blue to black.

Concentric circles in gradation of the same colour tucked at the centre with an accentuated stitchline.

Surface- Plain weave surface created out of sacred threads.


A twill weaved surface ,the warp using packaging wire and weft using satin ribbons.


ORGANIC CULTURE <

A shibori technique,developed by stitching the fabric according to the desired result of the design to be achieved.

Shibori dye technique

A satin weave created by using the warp as the salvages of the muslin fabric and weft using black organic cotton.

A technique called batik prtinting, achieved by using wax over the fabric where the design needs to be resisted.

Details- The collar is made up of placing and tacking the scorch bright(vessel cleaners)together . The corset is made out of creating a texture from the door mats and is looped at the back using the same. The skirt is a lace fabric wrapped in layers.
