Once upon a time there was a hedgehog named Hedgi. One day Hedgi's friend, Mr Froggals, came to visit. Mr Froggals gave Hedgi a silver brush for his prickles. "Look after this brush Hedgi" said Mr Froggals. "It’s special. Hedgi loved his special silver brush so much and he always carried it everywhere with him.
One day Hedgi was playing outside with his silver brush, when he decided to go inside to eat some tasty cabbage snacks. When Hedgi came back outside he found that his special silver brush had gone! Hedgi started to look around for his brush and spotted a small nutshell nearby, and another, and another.
Hedgi followed the trail of nutshells along the path which headed towards Squeaky the squirrel’s oak tree.
When Hedgi reached Squeaky’s tree, Squeaky was up his tree scurrying around looking for something. “What’s wrong?” Hedgi asked Squeaky. “I have lost my special golden nutcracker” Squeaky squeaked, “Have you seen it?” Hedgi shook his head. “I have lost my special silver brush. Let us look together!” Squeaky jumped out of the tree onto the ground and the two friends headed off together.
By Squeaky’s tree, there was a trail of puddles leading towards the river. Hedgi and Squeaky followed the trail of puddles through the trees until they reached the river.
When they got to the River they found Archie the otter in the river swimming around. When Squeaky and Hedgi reached Archie, He asked “Hello I seem to have lost my pearl! Have you two seen it?”
Place Holder Squeaky and Hedgi shook their heads sadly “We haven’t. I have lost my silver brush and Squeaky’s lost his nutcracker. Let’s all look for them together.” Hedgi said.
Archie leaped out of the river to join Hedgi and Squeaky, when he spotted Mr Froggals by the swing.
“Let’s ask Mr Froggals for help?” Archie suggested. So Hedgi, Squeaky and Archie swam across the river towards the swing. When they reached Mr Froggals, they found him talking to Bandit the Raccoon. Mr Froggals was holding Hedgi’s silver brush, Squeaky’s golden nutcracker and Archie’s pearl. Mr Froggals looked at Hedgi, Squeaky, and Archie, and said to Bandit, “Here are the naughty little Rascals! You left your toys out, silly ones. You’re lucky Bandit picked them up and that he brought them back to me.” Mr Froggals gave them their toys.
“Thank you Bandit! Hedgi, Squeaky and Archie squeaked happily as they all hugged him.
Place As a thank you to Bandit, later that afternoon they all had dinner outside Holder Mr Froggals house. After that Hedgi, Squeaky and Archie ALWAYS put their toys away when they were finished playing with them.
