Heritage Day – National ‘Braai’ Day

Heritage Day

– National 'Braai' Day

For many years South Africans have celebrated Heritage Day as National 'Braai' Day.

National Braai Day is celebrated every year on 24 September when South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their cultures and diversity. South Africans are generally referred to as a “rainbow nation” with 11 official languages, and we all aim to celebrate this day the same way.

Smokes up, fires burn, the aromas of spiced meats and of celebrating with ice cold homebrewed South African beers, while also celebrating the first signs of Spring after a long Winter.

Not only is this a day to be jolly, but it is also a day to remember our heritage and embrace our cultures.
