The Museum of Jeddah’s Cultural History Through Jeddah in search of the human scale
The proposed project of ‘The Museum of Jeddah’s Cultural History’ is aimed at creating an experience centre for the local inhabitants and the visitors (tourists) who enjoy visiting the city because of its tradition and culture. This museum is transforming the pattern of the urban fabrication of Al-Balad into a new perception of social hubs. It will not only display the art and artifacts of the city but will interact and share information with the citizens of all age groups to enjoy and be proud of their cultural heritage. The museum is divided into different clusters in order to reach an understanding of the relation between the human scale and the spaces, also examine the reflection of the relationship between humans their social habits.

Approach
Based on Al-balad configuration
udying the urban articulation of Al-Balad:
urban life in Al-Balad showed the role of urban fabrication and figuration in creating bond social environments. It features narand small pathways leading to courtyards, these courtyards nect the social life of the area, this configuration allows for a ural wind system throughout the clusters.
Analyzing the abstraction of Al-Balad:
The abstraction of Al-Balad attempts to create a new layer of the articulation, in order to re-define cultural hubs, the clusters are connected with courtyards, these courtyards lead either to privet or semi-public areas extended to the enclosure of the forms, the design spreads in a horizontal organization, not a representation of the historic Jeddah but an extension from a building point of view.
Interacting the human scale :
The form is designed with respect to the human scale to create a natural transition that is not interrupting with the sea view. Taking into consideration the physical impact of the architectural volumes and the architectural expression of the buildings

EduGrowth Elementary School Light as the giver of all presence
The ‘EduGrowth Elementary School’ is a low rise building designed with respect to sustainable tools and resources. The main aspect or approach is to manipulate light and shadow in contrast with the void, imitating Louis Kahn’s vision of light, where he states that ”a column is where the light is not, and the space between is where the light is. It is a matter of no light, light, no light. Light is the giver of all presence.” Light and shadow form the unspoken or unbuilt aspect of the building. It provides a sense of understanding of spaces, where students get the chance to experience the spaces differently according to the light direction and shadow formation. The design debates the idea of defining spaces through light rather than built boundaries.

W-Frame Housing Modular system design
In this project, we were asked to design a pre-fabricated modular social housing. The project system is based on employing spatial interlocking and organizational strategies to define modular volumes. It is located in Jeddah, on Albatarji Street, west of the Saudi German Hospital, surrounded by four streets. However, the residential units serve couples and professionals, providing an environment where they can run their business from their units.

Concept: The occupants can run their business from their own unit. the volume consists of three vertical modular units composes one prototype, each volume is a unit and a half, all the units are connected with a shared vertical circulation. The spaces are divided into working areas and living areas, the first and third levels accommodate the living area, while the second level dedicated to the working area. Both areas have separate entrances. Each unit provided either with one terrace or two terraces overlooking the main street. The volume consists of three parts interlocked at the edges, some units have been shifted aside to form a terrace, an entrance area or a walking area beneath. some traces serves two functions, its main function as a terrace and as a shading device. The prototype is repeated with the same features along the site.

Construction-Based Green Design
In this project, I developed an in-depth understanding of building construction materials, structural systems, and form composition by working on a residential plan. The primary focus included massing, advanced environmental controls, and sustainable methods and their impact on building form. Through the course, I was introduced to construction documents, including construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.

THE CULTURAL CUBE
The integrated layers for new standards of socializing In this project, I utilized spatial interlocking and organizational strategies to define volume with a limited palette of materials. The main concept is to promote a sense of community and raise a question of identity. In Saudi Arabia, we lack a cross-cultural community, this resulted in creating an isolated single-minded society that has been melted and poured into the same mold. the main question I tried to tackle through this project is: can architecture intervene and break this cultural isolation?
